The translation of the final episode was uploaded today. I haven't read the manga but I enjoyed the anime adaptation thoroughly.
For those who aren't in the know, Parasyte was a manga some twentyish years ago about sentient parasitic organisms that live in human hosts, controlling their bodies and consuming other humans. The protagonist is a teenager whose parasite failed to mature in his head, instead replacing his hand and developing a symbiosis there. It's a mildly philosophical exploration of human motives and our relationship with other species. It might not be groundbreaking anymore, but hearsay tells me that it was a newer, popular idea when it was first written.
Did anyone else watch or read it? What were your opinions of the themes and ending?
