After a gas explosion, it either left you to: 1. die and come back as something else, or 2. gave you something more. You have powers. You can control the elements. Whatever one you get, it helps you fight the dead with. You get water, earth, fire, and air. If you have these powers, consider yourself lucky. Being alone isn't exactly in your favor. It's easier to die that way.
