I don't usually post things on here, but I have been wondering about something for a while. I wanted to get your thoughts about recurring dreams. Do you have some of your own? Also, what do you think they mean? Do you have control over your dreams?

For me, I have had two. Both seem very real to me. The first recurring dream really isn't scary. It's me driving my first car (2002 Jeep Liberty). I can be driving just fine, but then the brakes will stop working, and the car will speed up. It's always in the same area in my dream, including the sun setting. I always run red lights, but I never hit any other cars/people. I simply dodge them.

My second dream is just crazy. It's so real, that I wake my husband up to check around the house to make sure I was dreaming. Call me freaking crazy, but it's about zombies. No two dreams are the same, but the setting and time is the same. It's like I was thrown into a simulator to see how I would handle a zombie situation. Again, it's so real, I feel like I am losing my mind.

I am interested to see how many of you experience what I am, and how you handle such a thing!

I couldn't tell you what they mean, if you go on Google you can find a site that will help "interpret" common themes in dreams. If it causes you distress or interrupts your sleep a lot you may want to consider speaking to somebody in a more professional setting. As far as control goes, I believe you can and you can also read up on it using Google, but it seems to be a difficult ability to gain control of, no pun intended.

Personally I don't often recall my dreams, I have a lot of anxiety and panic attacks so I'm not sure how much I actually get to spend in the REM cycle every night. Anyway, do some research, you never know what you'll uncover.
