Initially very free from but with a plot becoming apparent over time. There seemed to be a lot of initial excitement, so I'm disappointed it's gotten to this. Perhaps you and I posting more characters will spark more interest?

It might--though I find freeform RPs tend to lack that galvanizing forward momentum that comes with laying down a few benchmarks. Especially if not all the characters are united under the same goal.

True. I do have a central plot worked out, just was warying of lay it out right off the bat.

I would say colonisation efforts were put on hold leading into the war but the tech is there. Orbital combat is probably as significant a factor as air dominance was in WWII. I can elaborate as much as you like on any single aspect.
