I just posted the result of Cybin's and my colab and the continuation of Cirindel's and Fran's arrival. I'm thinking it would be most natural for Ontos to post now, but it would nice to have that as a colab post as well. So here's my idea: Ontos, when you can get around to it you start writing on a post in a convo between you, me and Instantes. Hopefully Instantes then has time to write some quick reply so that we can sort it out in a way that Cirindel can observe from the sidelines for a week. She might just step aside to let Elya and Fran finish their discussion. And then hopefully you, Instantes, should be back in time for a post.

I leave tomorrow morning and work has been manic this week, so sincere apologies if I don't have time to write a collab. However, nor do I want to be the one which drags back the RP; as such, if you like you can write in Cirindel's replies. I know this isn't as fun and defeats the point of an RP, but it allows you to keep things going and I'll pick it up again when I'm back.
As a rule, Cirindel would be pretty shocked at the interruption.
She would hold to the principle that defeating Janolf is actually critical to defeating the slavers, as a strong and legitimate anti-slavery government in Alcea would do far more to curb and suppress the slavers' activities than any amount of individual raids could do.
However, despite being principled she is open minded and thoughtful.
I'll leave that with you and pick up whatever action we take on my return.

Well, Fran's going to be quite the opposite. He believes that defeating Janolf will take too much resources that can be utilised in simply dealing with slavery by such raids. Plus, he's not even sure whether an operation to defeat Janolf would even work.

I am so sorry for having not posted nor said this earlier but I've been far more busy than I had anticipated. I'm in the middle of planning and organizing a rather huge move(from Australia to the U.S, so that gives you an idea of what I mean by "huge") and it's a rather stressful situation. I'm sorry again for having let this get in the way but I'm not dropping out just yet, if you allow me to stay that is. I won't be able to post in the next four days due to being out of town but when I return I'll try and figure a way to bring in Yanhua, any suggestions on how to do this would be much appreciated.
As people seem to be doing a few collabs, I'll just say I am very open and excited at the idea of doing one so if anyone wishes to do that just drop me a line. I'll still be able to check PMs while I'm out of town though unable to write anything lengthy due to the restrictions of smartphones.

Fix up, look sharp. Yanhua is officially introduced! Hope you don't mind me using Sir Stefan, Thistle; tried to leave it open-ended on his personality as possible, haven't quite seen a lot of the old guy yet.
So, I do hope some people are still here. If not, I'm going to be quite busy PMing the hell out of all of you. Anyway, perhaps for some conversation to liven up the OOC, what inspired everyone's characters?

It's funny though, when I first read your question, I was all, oh that's easy. But then I started thinking and I might well have forgotten... :/ Lacchi's an older character, with a few incarnations, and I can't actually remember the first time I played him. I'm pretty sure there was something about reverse werewolfism though. And maybe that movie "Fluke" where a man gets reicarnated as a dog but keeps his memories intact and how he dealt with that... Pretty sure he collected bits and pieces along the way.

I made Rayf basically as a bard in an actual setting, where class distinctions between abilities wouldn't really exist. I've always liked the idea of bards, but they're kind of given the short stick in most stories.
Rayf, a bard? Now I have the desire to see him sing a rousing song around the campfire to liven up our heroes' hope.
My original character idea for this was a druid but then I heard a song that made me think of power, unbridled & arrogant. Along with a picture and Yanhua pretty much was conjured, the inspiration for her outweighed my desire for a motherly druid character... that and I have a thing for melodramatic characters(their dialogue is so fun to write).
