I've been interested in doing something somewhat loosely based on the current Secret Wars event, using that as a template to start off of and bring different alternate universe versions of characters together. I'm kind of obsessed with all the different alternate continuities and the concept of characters meeting their other selves, especially when it's the really divergent ones like Ultimate Reed Richards.

The basic, spoiler-free gist of it is that a multiverse-wide apocalypse happened and fragments from the different universes were saved and kind of smashed together into one big world called Battleworld. In the story itself there's laws and walls and all that to keep the different realms of Battleworld from mingling (for the most part, of course) but I feel like that could be something that'd be done differently in an RP to expedite all the alternate universe misadventures.

Are original characters allowed or are we only playing around with cannon ones? I have Marvel Unlimited and could easily get caught up on any required reading for this RP, although I have my heart set on being able to use 1 of my OCs. I'm down for playing some cannon characters from the event as well but I really want to use my OC too. The OC I'm referring to is an alternate universe Spiderman, so their would be some of the character interaction payoffs you expressed interest in.

@Roach Sunday what I do is I use specific characters in an AU situation with OCs and such.

I'm still interested if you don't mind me being pretty scarce the next couple weeks. I have a lot on my plate right now but I should be around here and there. I think I'd rather not require any reading especially since the main event isn't on Unlimited yet since it's not 6 months old yet. I think furnishing a basic summary and then taking it off in our own direction works best for welcoming more people in, too.

I'm not 100% sure who I'll play at the moment. Tempted to play one of the more obscure AU Reeds since he's kind of my fave right now but he's also quite challenging to play... especially the version I have in mind.
