Please pardon any lack of organization that may appear before you. I'm rusty and working from memory.

The greater setting for this is fairly far post-apocalyptic, far enough that the larger world psyche has recovered and both services and local institutions have been restored. However, there is no nation with a larger landmass under unified rule than the main island of Japan and international travel is very difficult. Also, while guns do exist, they are exclusively limited to militaries due to the loss of world population. Basically, the infrastructure that allowed wide-spread use of modern weapons was destroyed and the personnel were killed. Guns have become simpler and more rugged. Computers are still around but networks are national at best. The "Internet" no longer exists, though the net is still referred to by that name in slang from time to time.

The apocalyptic event was actually a result of an attempt at globalization. The unification of the government resulted in the elimination of borders that kept incompatible cultures and practices from rubbing elbows. There was a major, decentralized, revolt that involved thousands of fronts on each landmass. The government even resorted to nuclear and biological weapons in a desperate effort to subdue the rioting population. This resulted in retaliations against government officials, offices, and the families associated with them. By the time it stopped, the war claimed more than two billion lives. National superpowers only remained as concepts. Yet, people are persistent and rebuild every time.

The local setting is the largest Elevated Academy in Japan. The school system has become divided between primary and elevated academies with elevated academies providing everything from Highschool up to Doctorate level education. These elevated institutions are also among the few private establishments with the resources and ambition to attempt a foreign toleration campaign. Japan is otherwise closed to outsiders and has been more successful than most in rebuilding a functional society.

------------------------

The character I would be playing would be the male. I don't want to give away much regarding his background but the main villain would be his father whose rank could be compared to that of a warlord. He is from a war torn region that used to be the mid-west region of the United States before the Breaking War. He used faked papers and a lot of money to secure his acceptance into his position as a Trial Case for the Foreign Toleration Campaign.
The other character would be a female student at that same Elevated Academy. I'm don't think a weak girl will really work well but she would be both the romantic interest and possibly a damsel in distress from time to time. Remember, not all damsels have to be weak. They just have to be weaker than their captors.
Mature content is unnecessary but I will not absolutely exclude it as a possibility. As hinted earlier, that element is negotiable. However, I see no point in interjecting mature content when it adds nothing to the relationship. It can be a waste of space.

I think this would be fun. I wouldn't be playing a weak individual but I do enjoy being the submissive role, so being a damsel doesn't bother me. Do you mind messaging me over details concerning what the ideal plot would be for us in the beginning. I'd like to play around with it, and see if maybe we'd be a good match. If you'd like to see my character sheet..
