On the topic of Romance, while I'm usually very very adamant about my characters being involved romantically with other characters; I don't know if I'd be comfortable with playing that role with Drake.

Without saying too much about his personality; he's a very problematic person and I feel like any relationship he'd be apart of would be quite manipulative on his part. I know it's just fiction, but I don't think I'd be very comfortable writing that kind of thing. Like I'm already nervous with this character because I usually only ever roleplay as peppy, cheery people that spread love and joy. So this kind of more sinister character is very much out of my comfort zone.

It was a great movie wasn't it? I've seen it more than I can hardly remember. I'm always recommending it to Disney fans, be it adults or kids! I'm barely going to watch Totoro soon and after that, Princess Mononoke. Do you guys have recommendations? I've seen Howl's and Ponyo. :)

There's certainly a first time playing different personality types but not impossible! You seem passionate about Drake so I think you're gonna do awesome, honestly.

I'd be happy if my character could eventually be someone he can rely on like a beloved family friend or any kind of support he needs. :)

Your character is part of:

"The Shades of Black is the name for the unofficial team led by Ozpin. They are Beacon students charged with the task of keeping the peace in the world of Remnant. Armed with rare-dust and experimental Grimm DNA infused in their bodies, they are a unique counter-measure force that hunts down the most dangerous and well-hidden threats."

Due to the dust and Grimm infusion, you have gained power at the expense of some form of corruption. This is some sort of physical or psychological anomaly that is a side effect of the experiments. The corruption also grants you, basically, a second Semblance or power of some sort. So, the experiments make you stronger but also warp you in some way. That is your Corruption.

Kikis Delivery Service(My first), Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky, Ponyo, My Neighbor Totoro, When Marnie Was There. I've seen all these and enjoyed them all, though im biased towards spirited away since it was my first. It used to always play on t.v. on the weekends when i was a kid and i was always enthralled by it.

For some reason I've been avoiding Princess Mononoke, but ill watch it eventually. I plan to watch Arietty next though.

Sorry, off-topic! She started it! LOL Anyways, ill have my character sheet up tomorrow hopefully.

Anyway, I believe Co-GM Kurai has answered most of your questions in my few hours of absence. Is is overwhel--I mean, great to see more people join, and it is delightful to see that players are already beginning to make plans for character development. It's also quite a treat to see that one has announced the roleplay's first trap character---damn it, I was too late--and I hope your excitement does not die down yet.

If there are any questions left unanswered, please ask away. Kurai or myself will attend to them.

Hm. I think to celebrate such a high roster, I'll make a video of myself taking as many shots as the number of people who have signed up. IN RUBY COSPLAY.

Character Name: Raine Sanguine
Age: 21
Gender/Sex: Female
Appearance: She is a woman of average height, 5'8" and weighing 146lbs. She has a toned figure, her build a result of swinging around such a heavy sword. Her eyes are a distinct gold colour and her hair is blood red, shoulder length and usually tied back in a ponytail. On her chest she has a tattoo of a butterfly.

Weapon:

Silver Rose is a longsword kept sheathed on Raine's back. When drawn it has a "short" form which is a longsword with a thick blade usually better for hacking like an axe with heavy swings. The "long" form extends the blade to almost twice the length, becoming a massive great sword able to cleave things in two. In the extended form the blade's Dust core also activates adding an elemental effect to the blades edge, she usually uses ice but other cores can be inserted to change the element.
Along with her sword Raine carries several Dust grenades with her, which when activated explode with different effects depending on the colours of dust mixed within. With these and modified bear traps she uses a method of fighting she calls "track and trap" preferring to be on the defensive when she fights, giving her enemies the feeling of advantage as she leads them in hidden traps and ambushes.

Semblance: The tireless Sword, Raine's semblance is her super human endurance. While some may burn out quickly in a fight her semblance allows her to stay in combat for long periods of time with little to no rest. However to make up for this she spends a lot of her time sleeping.

Corruption: Eye for an Eye. Her corruption is a very peculiar one. When she cut an enemy or harms them in some way she can take a moment to make a small injury to herself, usually a cut on the hand or arm. By doing so she can make that small wound she placed on her opponent increase in size and pain, sometimes to a fatal level depending on how far she is willing to harm herself. Because of this corruption she displays a fascination with blood, the way it pool on the ground, splatters against walls and the warmth of it on her skin.
