Hank smiled at this, though he always claimed Kylie was his daughter that wasn't completely true. "Ya, raised her since she was the size of a loaf of bread." Hank smiled thinking back to those memories. It reminded him that he no longer had to be scared of the world, even then he was, except for the moment she was born. "Hey? You want to come in for something to drink? I don't have a lot but I have beer. I know many of us don't drink it but I personally love the stuff." Hank said offering to let Lydia in.

She let herself in, seeing as Hank had now invited her in. It was satisfying to her that she was able to get on his good side, and so easily as well.

Hank walked into the house, he still had boxes everywhere but it was more or less organized. Though something that many people would notice with the boxes everywhere would be the open wooden crate full of various blades, and a tall reinforced safe. And an glass case full of various objects from Hanks past, including a small collection of dog tags. "So what do you want to drink? I have beer and..." He had to think, he knew he packed a ton of beer but he wasn't sure after that. "Might have tea, not really sure to be honest."

Hank entered the kitchen and started going through the boxes looking for something to act as a drink, or cups. He really didn't own a lot of cups either.

"Just beer is fine with me," Lydia said.

Now she was in the house, and seemed to be making friends with Hank. He had let her into his house, after all, even before they had experienced long-term contact. Perhaps he was simply lonely. He had an open crate full of blades, which she pretended she didn't notice. Considering he was a new resident of the vampire village, it wasn't a surprise. Lydia just took a seat at a place which was comfortable.

Dr. Sloan paused for a moment, "My practice is more experimental rather than general medicine. For you, however, I wouldn't mind making an exception", Dr. Sloan said in a smooth voice.
"My dream work, huh?", Dr. Sloan resumed, " I suppose I'm already doing that. I search for the truth and new knowledge while experimenting new concepts and ideas". Dr. Sloan raised his pitch a little, "Most of them for the benefit of vampires". Dr. Sloan gave out a forced laugh.

"I would hire you to find a way to shield vampyres from the sun." Morticia spoke with a smile. "I am serious about the job. I am seriously afraid of fire and of sunlight but I like the warmth. I like flowers and want to make a hedge where I can walk along in. Many areas where I can rest. I'd like to walk in it day or night. I get so restless which is why I want to be able to be free to go out anytime that I want. Perhaps there is a way to make blood look like non vampire food. That would be interesting as well.
Tell me what kind of experiment you can do.' she asked as she gazed at Dr Sloan.

Hank went through the boxes in the kitchen looking for the beer. He wasn't a heavy drinker, that was because he couldn't get drunk. Though he packed a lot of beer, he had no idea how easy it would be to get beer here. And if it would be any good. Hank eventually did find a couple beers from the boxes, he handed one to Lydia and then opened his own. "So what did you do before you came here? Unless you still do the same thing?" Hank knew most his past jobs were not really going to be applicable now that he was here, though he had to come up with something before things got too far along.

Lydia took the beer and cracked it open. She took a sip of it, and to her it seemed tastleless, but she looked like she enjoyed it. It was best to act natural.

It's not the same thing as before. I was just a poor peasant girl," Lydia said, and she giggled. "It's better being a vampire."

Hank did a small awkward laugh. "I meant before you came to the sanctuary, Like before, I worked a private construction company, before that..." Hank took a sip from his beer. "I was a soldier, I have been in more modern battles then all of the humans, and many vampires." Hank looked back to the room that was still filled with boxes. "Collected a lot of interesting things over the Years though. Including an old German watch. It's broken now, but it was cool when I found it." And by found Hank meant the poor bastard he had killed for it.

"Oh, I see," Lydia said. "I was just a poor little Romanian peasant girl. You could say I lived just out of town from here. The life of a peasant isn't very exciting, and not very memorable. The day I got bitten was the luckiest day of my life.

Later that day, Morticia headed back to the hotel to see if there was anyone around to talk to. Someone who was not a doctor full of ideas that became too technical for her. At the moment she was quite bored and wished more vamps would come and join her little community.

"Though, if it didn't happen then I guess I wouldn't have Met Janet, then in turn never have gotten to spend my time with Kylie." Hank set down the beer and started going through the boxes. "Though, I did also get to fulfill my dream to see the world. Not normally on the best of terms but it was always nice still. Well, not always. But it had nice moment."

Hank took some plates out of the box and started to place them into the cabinets. "Sorry to be working well you're here, just want to get unpacked as soon as possible. Don't want to spend five years looking at half filled boxes, only taking out things when I really need them."

Morticia was sitting in the lounge, just watching to see if there was anyone new around to talk to when she saw a young lady come inside. She was unsure and a bit unkempt. Slowly and gracefully stood up to walk over to the young lady.
"Good evening, miss. Are you lost?" ash asked softly as she gazed at her.

She raised her thin eyebrows into arches as so soon as she'd walked in she was noticed. "I do not believe so." She started "This is The Sanctuary (if thats what its called) is it not? I was told of this place by a Hunter." she said fidgeting in her uncomfy jacket the hunter had given her to wear to get through the forest without being poisoned by a plant.
