"Counter with your own Dark Pulse!" Liam ordered. Grimm fired off his attack to where it mirrored the oncoming attack, making them negate in midair, in a spectacular display of symmetry.

"Shadow Ball!" Zoro switched guises, now looking like a Gengar. The Zorua threw an orb of shadow energy at Grimm.

"Sucker Punch!" Liam called. In a split second, Grimm had jabbed a power fist into the gut of his shapeshifting opponent.

Zoro lost his illusion and fainted from the hit. Crosses appeared on the judges' screens and Liam was declared the winner.

Liam praised Grimm for the good job. He was awarded the Rustborro Ribbon. As the audience applauded, Liam and Grimm took a bow.

Shiranui applauded Liam's victory as well after recalling Zoro.

Khuda had long since left to train with her mankey. The two of them where covered in sweat and a slight increase in the power and rate of their breathing could be heard. They stood side by side and she had clearly just released tension in her body for a moment. Taking a deep, strong breath through her nose and calmingly letting it out of her mouth to make a sound like whistling wind in the air, her mankey did the same. Suddenly, in unison the pulled up their gaurds, bouncing slightly as their feet changed position every now and then for foot work. Suddenly, the two spun, the main leg bending all the way down to have thigh touch calve, and the other leg spin across the ground. This was a low sweep, and she had done well to profect it for the new low kick she was teaching mankey. She didn't stop there though. They threw the usual scratch and comboed it with tackles and evasions, but at the end of this onslaught on an invisible foe, they both dashed forward and slid, sending a flurry of punches in the comet punch technique. As they sent this final attack, ruffling in the tall grass occured, and out from the grass popped a small entity. The two where not able to stop themself from hitting this soft creature multiple times. As they finished, The mankey celebrated while Khuda slowly and in a panic moved to peek at what they hit. It was a ralts! Not knowing what to do, she started to panic. She though they killed it. In panic, she dashed around, her mankey following suit. "oh my god, oh my god oh my god, what do I do?" She asked out loud. The ralts slowly started to get up, wobbiling and shaking, it looked bruised. Khuda looked to it and saw it was still alive and her eyes lit up. Quickly she ran over to the pokemon, searching through her pocket. Suddenly, she pulled it out with great force, a berry. As she did, a pokeball, one of her two, rolled onto the ground. Quickly she gave the ralts the berry, and it began to eat. When it swallowed, it grew weak and hit the pokeball. Suddenly it was inside.
"It....dissapeared..." She said after a moment, only to look at the pokeball. After a moment, she realized, she caught it! A ralts!. Khuda danced abit before remembering the state it was in and rushing to the pokecenter to have it healed.

Shiranui made his way back to the Pokémon Centre to have Zoro healed.

Joy returned to the center with Liam and his friends. Liam was thinking out loud. According to rumors he had heard, Dewford's gym was led by a man who liked to surf and specialized in fighting types.

"That will mean anyone who has a Flying, Psychic or Fairy-type Pokémon will have an advantage," Shiranui replied. He knew such Pokémon were easily acquired at this part of Hoenn.

"Good thing I caught a Pidgey." Liam commented.

Following the entertaining match, lance met up with shiranui and Liam at then Pokemon center. "You both did great" lance said praising them.

"Thanks." Liam replied.

Rushing into the pokecenter, Khuda practically tossed her pokemon at nurse joy. The small brunett bounced impatiently waiting for her pokeball back, and eagerly took them up when she was handed them. Smiling at the new pokeball as her mankey sat next to her, she looked over to see the boy from before. She waved to him energetically. "Shiranui! Hey, I got a new pokemon!"

"That's great, Khuda," replied Shiranui, "What did you catch?"

Snickering with a grin expressing her eagerness to brag, she tossed the ball to the ground. Out burst a flash of light to show a small, thin ralts. It looked weak, and it's nose let off a tiny bit of snot every now and then. The ralts looked around, confused as to how it got here. Khuda took a dramatic pose, jazz hands ready to show how proud of it she was. "Isn't it cool! I mean, I haven't ever seen one before, but it looks cool!"

"It's indeed cool that you caught a Ralts," Shiranui agreed, "But the poor thing looks sick. Liam, could you give your opinion on the state of this Ralts?"

Liam hurried over and looked the Ralts over. He was able to quickly diagnose the most probable scenario as to what happened. He had one of the Chanceys bring a first aid kit to him. He pulled out a paste made from Orren berries. "This may hurt Ralts, but it will help your wounds heal." Liam explained. He generously applied the medicine to the wounds and bandaged it up. Liam looked at her and in near unison with Joy, reprimanded her "What did you do to this Pokémon?" Liam didn't realize how well he had the chastising voice that the Joys did so well.

Khuda out jersey hands up level with her shoulders to show her submission in this scenario. She didn't mean to harm it, and now she was worried for what was wrong with the ralts. "I, er, we, we're training" she said, gesturing to her mankey who glared at her for ratting him out. "We went to use an attack and this thing jumped in the way on accident. I gave it a berry to heal it and it accidentally fell on my pokeball" she said, knowing get how unbelievable that sounded. She was hoping the sincerity in her voice and eyes showed how this happened. "What is wrong, I hope it's not too sick"

Joy gave her a stern look. "The past is the past, you are lucky that Liam here was so quick to get the Ralts bandaged up." Joy said in her stern voice with an upset look on her face. She sighed slightly and changed back to her normal, sweet voice: Just do not let it fight for a couple days and it should be fine."
