Welcome to Skyrim

Not long after the Dawn of the Fourth Era, specifically 4E 201, a drastic turn in the Province of Skyrim's status lead to nothing but bloodshed. Two sides would engage in a Year's worth of war and oppression, one side being the Imperials of the Empire, the other being the Nords of Skyrim who denied the Empire's signing of the White-Gold Concordat with the Aldmeri Dominion, as well as accusing the Empire of restricting their beliefs in Talos. Suddenly, Skyrim's people were plunged into a seemingly never-ending conflict that tore families, comrades, clans and cities apart, stripping them of the glory they once held under their Province's name. Known as either the Stormcloak Rebellion [To the Imperials] and the Great Uprising [To the Stormcloaks], or simply shortened to the Civil War, Iron and Steel from either side began to tore through the Flesh and Bone of the Land's people. Many other Races began to feel the pressure of oppression, being crushed under its savage ways until they were nothing but among the dirt of the Land's surface. These events were going to shape the History, and very outcome, of what happens to the Land. Whether Skyrim was destined to be the Nord's land, or the Imperials were going to uphold their crumbling Empire through every Forest, Marshland, Hold and Mountain. Yet as the Battles began to arise, civilisations barely involved in the Political and Militaristic manners were thrown into the deepest ends of Skyrim's shadows, forming vast numbers of Bandit Groups, Clans and Cults keen on passing on more havoc to those who hadn't received their Fair Share.

And now, it comes down to the people. In the Hold of Falkreath was the approaching time to succumb to a drastic decision. The War was catching up to them, and with whatever Race, land or belief they originated from, there was a decision to be made. Who were they going to side with? Whether they were going to encourage the Imperial ways and join the Legionaries of the Empire, defy their own Government to feature themselves in the ranks of the Stormcloak Army, or simply turn to other ways to fit into the havoc of the land...It had to be made. And with the War beginning to take a major turn without anyone's favour, nothing was going to be the same ever again. So, let's find out this...Are the People of this Hold, this Province, going to take their place in the Civil War, or are they going to find a way to put themselves as far from it? The biggest question of all, however, is will anyone prepare for the upcoming tyranny that not only Skyrim will have to face, but both Tamriel and Nirn itself?

The Scene

And so, I'd like to introduce my new Roleplay, The Elder Scrolls: V - Province Under Chaos. To start with the summary, this is going to be a non-canon take on the franchise's single storyline focus, Skyrim. Skyrim, if you so happen to not know, is the central northern Province in the Continent of Tamriel, one of the two Larger Continents on Nirn. Keeping those still unaware up to date, the current setting has arisen, with a Civil War between two rival Armies had just formed under two separate beliefs. The Legionaries of the Imperials that serve under the banner of The Empire, originally coming from the Province of Cyrodiil, also housing other races that follow their beliefs. Their opposition are the Warriors of the Stormcloaks, a rising Rebellion consisting of the Provinces Natives, the Nords. Very few other races follow, let alone are accepted, into the warpath of the Stormcloaks, who provide more than just a small blockade in the progression of the Crumbling Empire. Keen on restoring the land 'To the rightful Owners', as well as securing the ability to worship Talos, they ruthlessly keep up the resisting conflict to the point where Skyrim's once calm lands, hills, rivers and forests became twisted into a spiral of death and tragedy. A fitting setting, for drama at the most.

As mentioned in the introduction, this is taking place, at least to start with, in the Hold of Falkreath, one of the smaller of the Nine Holds of Skyrim. Here, the Citizens are certainly trying to avoid the conflicts that rage on in the lands. With the Empire in control of the current Hold as of that moment, the war begins to catch up and people will soon have to make decisions. Do they side with their government? Do they follow their brothers and sisters in the Stormcloak Uprising? Or perhaps they wish to find other ways to get around into helping themselves, turning to savagery, guards or simple tradesmen? Anything is possible, but it doesn't necessarily mean it'd be easy. As the Empire would leave to conflict, the Hold would become more vulnerable to crime, Bandit-Raids and the greater sinister cults that lurk in Skyrim's caverns and shadows. Nothing is safe, easy or liveable at this point...And many citizens would turn to finding other organisations to secure themselves a different fate, possibly survival. However, another danger lurks more than just in the shadows of Skyrim, and one that has found its way travelling to the present from previous times...Something that is keen on ending life simply as it is known...

The Characters

So, the Falkreath citizens. These Characters will be the main protagonists, or antagonists depending on the path that is decided as a group/individual, for the Roleplay. With one of the main backdrops and situations for the Roleplay being the Civil War, at least for the greater part of the first segment, there won't be many groups or organisations available to start with. As the Roleplay develops onwards, the Character Tab may update with Groups that have a possibility of allegiance, which unlike Regular Skyrim, they cannot be stacked. Many of the Characters will be moderately close in the terms of events, and will be dragged into the bigger pictures as it moves along. It isn't a necessity to follow everyone else, but it may be easier for one to follow at least a few others. Another thing is that these characters should not move way too far from the whole story, and will be restricted into certain storylines, though mini-plots can be created upon permission from myself.

I do not think I need to go over the Races that are to be used, or the occupations that would be held in Falkreath, but there are four starting pathways that should be available. First of all, there is the Stormcloask of course. Following up is the Empire, Falkreath's Uninvolved, as well as the [Clearly Made-Up] Bandit Group, growing into a ruthless cult, known as the Lower-Blades.

Now we must move onto the Character Sheet. This is going to be a brief design choice, which will include the necessary and optional segments to include into the Character Sheet. You can alter the design to your heart's content, as long as it isn't over-the-top, and lacks the information needed. Just a note: Characters Armour/Clothing does not need to be any of the selected Clothing styles that are within the Franchise already. As long as it uses the same sort of material, it should be fine, regarding it isn't over-the-top or ridiculous. Try to make these characters reasonable, though I'm not here to control what you can come up with. Here is the sheet, including the information:

The Final Words

So, time to lay down a few rules before we get into this. A good reminder is that my Roleplays go off of a moveable Strike-System. It can adjust, depending on how severe each breach in my rules is, and what sanctions are required. There is usually a single or double warning before Strikes are dished out, but this can be slid to the side based upon what I think of the severity.

1. My Word is Law. You don't like what I say...Then please message me in a friendly way so we can resolve this peacefully ; D

2. The OOC is a place of fun, happiness and enjoyment. What I do not want to happen, especially to repeat previous events of mine, is to see many arguments, Hostile Disagreements and hatred being spread amongst these sacred pages. This rule states that you are to take your Arguments straight to the PM. If this happens to make you seem more uncomfortable because of what is said, message me about any issues you have with another Roleplayer. I'll try to keep your complaint as anonymous as I can, and will try to resolve it in the best-way fit, in my eyes. Some complaints require evidence, so images or screenshots can provide me with clear understandings and evidence to use against the defiler. If you have any complaints about me, myself and I, do the same with PMing me, and I'll try to see if I can get things clear.

3. Character Creation is lovely isn't it? Well...This time, I'm going to be letting you lot add your CS's into the Tab...WHEN ACCEPTED. I usually set out a pretty little design and spend time editing and placing them in myself, but it can get hectic. Therefore, you'll all have the chance to edit them whenever. If you wish to make a drastic change, inform me first. Now to add to this rule of CSing to the Maximum Professional Level, try to keep things on the realism scale. Yes, it is a Skyrim Roleplay...Yes it is set in a Non-Canon version of the universe, but you must not edit these laws. For example, just because it isn't canon doesn't mean you can bring a completely wiped out, or non-existent race into the Universe. Also, ridiculous power? No one is the fucking Dragonborn here, sonny...There'll be no, as Palpatine once said, "Unlimited Power!" Death can happen quickly in this Roleplay...

4. Respect. Very over-used word. This means I want you, linking to Rule 2, to keep a civilised manner within this Thread. This doesn't mean you can call out a small mistake in a good-way, though. Constructive Criticism is welcomed, as long as it is necessary, and can help someone improve what they are doing wrong, or at least what you think they are doing wrong.

5. This Roleplay is being rated of a Mid-High Casual rating. By this, I'm mainly talking about the way you write, or type in this case ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Length isn't a massive concern, in my eyes. I'm going to ask for a minimum of 6 Sentences, all of a Medium-to-High sentence structure and length. I don't want you to write out tonnes and tonnes of stuff if you do not wish to, but you can if you are into that sorta stuff ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Grammar, however, I'm going to be slightly more strict on. I want to read something I can understand. Spelling may not be the biggest segment of this, because as long as I can understand what you are trying to say, then it is fine. If it gets to the point where I cannot understand segments, or the whole thing ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), then I'll ask for an improvement, if not supplied with the best reason, and will most likely, kindly ask if you could leave for the recommendation. I know not everyone is a Master at the English Language, such as myself, but it will stop havoc and traffic-jams amongst the Threat.

6. Going for a while is fine. You have a life, I hope. I have a life, I also hope. If you know that you are going to be taking time off of the website, or simply the Thread, let us know immediately. I'd rather know this because then I won't worry about you being brutally murdered in a Kitten-House, or something. This leads into the next segment of Rule 6, which is Character Traffic-Jams. Something I named after incidents where people who hadn't said anything had left one or more Roleplayers stuck without anything to progress off of. In creating an having an accepted Character, we are entitled to take over that Character until the problem is restored, fairly, after a certain while of disappearance. If you know you are going to be gone for a while, we will get your confirmation for this character. If you plan on leaving the Roleplay, inform us so we can decide what fate your Character shall have before taking over. If you are kicked out, you will not get this choice and will have to hand it over, leaving us to decide their fate.

That should be it with the rules. I feel like I've written less, but I've done quite a few words now that I look back at it. Anyway, I hope you have enjoyed reading this, as well as my other Entertainment ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and I hope even more that I grabbed your interest. If you wish to participate, let me know by mentioning me and telling me before making a CS. Any Questions are welcomed, and I'd like to thank you for reading this! Talos be with you, or not...depending on which side you pick. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
