Spartan-666 touched down in the same pelican Ty had come down with. "Fireteam Quantum, i have been assigned to your unit by Captain Lasky along with my colleague Spartan Ty Winston. Can i get a SITREP on our current objective before we continue on." He said cocking the shotgun watching the first shell being flung out the side, with Parker catching it and placing it on the ammo rack on the side of the gun.

Ty thought he heard someone asking him a favor but assumed it was static. Parker, who he almost forgot was behind him, stepped off and asked for the SITREP. The area was oddly quiet, even with the loud hum of the Pelican's engines so he stayed alert, getting these civilians out safely was very important. "I'm going to see what debris is holding them up." he said to 666 as he made his way to the door that lead downstairs. It was locked but he easily pulled the damaged door off it's hinges and saw large wall and ceiling peices."I'll have this cleaned up in just a second guys." Ty spoke over the comms to Fireteam Quantum and began moving it out of the way.

"We've wasted enough time." Eryx stated, his module kicking in. He leaned down low, placing a hand on the ground and his left leg back behind him. "Move." He dashed forward, head to the side, arm locked on his elbow as he charged his shoulder into the debris at high speed, the module adding to the effect as he crashed through the concrete and rebar, leaving a hole in it's place. "No more of this waiting around, being distracted by civilians. Unless orders come through or you can do it on the move, leave them or get left behind, you can deal with the report of abandoning the mission. ODST's are taking care of them, not us."

Browning stepped away, just enough that he could speak again on the secure line

Zero Nine Nine, I need you to keep an eye on Spartans Casey and Eryx. They could be emotionally compromised, and I'd really like to avoid having two man sized tanks on the loose..

He faultered, catching Eryx's latest order as he switched back to the secure comm

Im sorry, you're ordering us not to help civilians? I don't think you get to make that call Spartan.

He looked at him, his helmet hiding his face, wondering what happened to make this Spartan so unlike others...

"Spartan Eryx i pressume, I have orders to replace you as team leader. Lasky has asked for a more, stable candidate to lead the fireteam." 666 made his way over to Ty"Spartan, we have begin to help the civilians onto the pelican. i shall deal with Spartan Eryx."

Casey stood back as the debris came crashing down. "Eryx, Stand down. The mission means nothing if we dont save civilians aswell"

The comms in his helmet came through more clearly this time, now catching the message from Browning. "Understood." He replied simply. With two Spartans efforts moving the debris, a path was quickly carved out for the civilians to move through to reach the transport.

"It means the job gets done, 'Civilian casualties have to be part of the job, if everybody lives it was too easy and if everyone dies it was too hard. Most of them die and it's the few that survive who matter. Get used to the pain or let it ruin you.'" He turned around for a moment, his words both harsh and mechanical as if they'd been drilled into his head. He took a moment to just stare them down, the only noise being his respirator helping him breath. He turned around silently and kept moving towards the building. "If you want to get distracted go ahead, this is getting done right."

Spartan 666 stepped forward towards Eryx. "Spartan, you are to stand down as squad leader and let a real Spartan take over."He used his shotgun barrel to push the Original Spartan to one side. Spartan Fireteam Quantum. Form up on me."

Eryx's module triggered the moment the shotgun was pointed in his direction at such close range, quickly and with great power his fist came up, swinging towards the shotgun with easily enough force to shatter it if it connected. "Real Spartan?" He questioned, his posture maintained aside from the punch he'd sent out, though under his helmet his eyes flooded with rage. "A weak, untested wretch like you is real because he thinks he can play hero? You don't know the first thing about what real Spartans do. You're fed the same propaganda the civilians are and only get a few of the truth's while you're in the process to feel like you've actually done something with your worthless life, like the cowards they sent to reach to die. You think they didn't know every last one of you was going to die against that horde? Lambs to the slaughter for publicity where they sacrificed ODST's parading around in our armor."

ONI didnt know the Covenant were coming so nothing could have prevented what happened on Reach. I saw good Spartans die. I witnessed a covenant corvette explode while carrying a SPARTAN II. Very few of us survived Reach, One of us helped create the IVs. HOW ARE YOU LIKING YOUR GALAXY SOLDIER CAUSE THE MASTER CHIEF SAVED IT. GUESS WHAT HE SURVIVED REACH. YOU THINK THEY LET THE PILLAR OF AUTUMN ESCAPE. SPARTAN III'S MADE THAT HAPPEN. DOES NOBLE TEAM MEAN NOTHING TO YOU. DOES ECHO TEAM MEAN NOTHING TO YOU. FUCK DOES ALPHA COMPANY MEAN NOTHING TO YOU. CAUSE THEY WERE ALL SPARTAN III'S DEPLOYED ON REACH. THERE WERE TWO SURVIVORS OF ECHO TEAM AND ONES STOOD RIGHT INFRONT OF YOU. "You think squirming out of that trap makes you tough, kid?" Eryx stepped forward, pushing the Spartan three with him as they were already in contact. Any resistance would only shred the ground beneath them as he refused to stop. His head tilted slightly, almost as if he was amused by the anger. "This is what I mean, about it getting in the way. You're so unbelievably caught in your own anger it hasn't occurred to you how easily I can kill you." Slowly his head came back to the other direction, voice growing gradually more cold in his respiration system. "You were lucky, the time and place, maybe you fought a little. What those people did? It was nothing, because in the end they failed, and just let more cowards go free. Nothing was gained except what we could have prevented. Keep believing they didn't know, because if you swing at me, after I'm done twisting your armor into a pretzel with you're nearly dead corpse mangled inside I'm going to show you you're wrong so it's the last thing you ever see. Tell me I'm lying." He leaned closer, his module still ticking actively to wait for resistance.

After Ty helped the last civilian onto the pelican, he made his way to the squad to fall in. He walked up just as Parker was releasing Eryx. Ty had heard it all unfold on the comms but he was unphased by it. Parker was a passionate man when it came to those events, frankly we was used to it. "We need to move soon, that pelican would have pulled a lot of attention." said Ty as he walked up behind them. Things were getting heated and he worried it might escalate.

"watch your back soldier, my tag ain't 666 for nothing" He walked away from the gen 1 Spartan having lost all respect for the man. Not not a man. Not anymore anyways. He was a machine designed to kill and have no mercy, as it seemed he showed none to his squad either. He met up with Spartan Browning and Williams. "what's the situation here. If we're gonna make any progress it needs to happen now"

Blackburn stood there, both amused and a bit scared from the hostility going on between fellow Spartans. He didn't understand why Eryx was such an asshole. Was he just a heartless soldier? Was he hiding something deep within? Was he overcompensating for a small gun? Blackburn had no idea what the hell was up with him, but he didn't dare question it. He stood there silently watching the chain of events leading up to Eryx almost fighting another Spartan. He couldn't lie, he'd love to see Eryx fight someone. Possibly get some sense knocked into him too. But he knew that most likely wouldn't happen.

Spartan Williams here was taking a moment to compose herself.

He took a sideways glance at her, only for a moment, before reloading his battle rifle

Our objective is within the local government building. The complex, according to the information we have, is crawling with insurrectionists. A frontal assault would frankly be suicidal, if our information is correct.

He watched 666 closely. He didn't know anything about this new Spartan. That made him uncomfortable. Another request he'd have to forward to ONICOM

A cold laugh echoed as the man backed away. "Smart boy, but a random number your are assigned literally means nothing. Some devil would know better than to let civilians get in the way." Eryx walked ahead now, back on the path to the armor, though he kept on proximity sensors, ready to counter attack if anything, or anyone, were to move in from behind. "Save your damsels, leave me out of it, someone has to actually do their job."

"The civilians have just left, all that stands between us now is internal conflict and god knows how many hostiles that saw the bird land." Ty said as he inspected his rifle while walking a little closer to them. "I'd like to find this armor before they do, so if Parker could just lead, that would be great." he added, his head tilted to the left every so slightly and though they couldn't see it, he had a sarcastic grin on his face. Ty wasn't a very serious person but out in the field, he took things much more seriously and hoped to make it out of here in one piece, as he did from any mission.

"Ok, Quantum lets move. Ty, Williams your gonna clear floors one to twenty three. Blackburn and Eryx you got twenty four to forty two. Browning your with me, were clearing forty two to fifty. Spartan team Blacks armour is said to be on the top floor, fifty one. when we have secured all other floors we move to fifty one together. AS A TEAM. there will be heavy resistance there so its not wise to take them on single handedly. You all got that. Great lets move." He said, before sprinting for the entrance of the Government building.

"Blackburn, on me." Eryx said as he turned into the building, rearming himself with the single handgun for now. He toggled his flashlight, making his way to the staircase. Looking straight up he moved up them, stopping only to check the floor number until he reached their entry point. "Ever gotten into a fistfight with an elite before?" He asked Blackburn, standing on the side of the door as they prepared to enter. "Area's tight, so you better be ready for it. Happens a lot in these situations, guys hate to use their guns actually."

Ty pulled up the rear with his shotgun, no way to clear floor by floor in these tight hallways with a sniper rifle but he didn't mind. He was just happy to be moving on with the mission now that the pissing contest was over. They would be clearing floor by floor to insure no nasty surprises though with the squad on edge like this, he almost doubted any surprises would matter.
