I'd walk through the cold dry hallways of cobblestone in the tower, quiet as can be despite the place looking long vacant. My casual attire of brown jacket, white t shirt, and jeans over bare feet and a cap to match. Dust brown eyes looking over my surroundings.

I watched as the scruffy looking stranger crept along the cobblestone hallways, my eyes being narrowed as I observed him carefully. I was engulfed by the shadows of the dimly lit hallway, which kept me hidden from him as I watched. I decided to speak to the stranger, in an attempt to scare him off. "You arent welcome here. Explain your business, then I'll decide what to do with you.."

I'd jump at the sound of her voice, reaching for the dagger in my pocket. "Who goes there, I thought this place was empty." I spoke up in a harsh and brittle tone, glaring at my surroundings. My eyes darting to each shadow and each corner underneath dusty brown hair and a tipped hat.

I stepped out from the shadow, so I standing directly in front of the stranger. I wore a long dress which just touched the ground, shoulder length gloves, and a large, pointy hat that casted a shadow over my eyes. My attire was almost completely black, apart from my hat which was a dark purple.. which was still close to black. "Well now you know it isn't empty. This is my tower that you're standing in." I said, crossing my gloved arms across my chest. "..My tower which you are not welcome in." I added on, my dark eyes now being narrowed.

"Excuse me?" I glared at the woman before me, as I reached for my dagger. "Look lady, I'm here for the treasure in the castle. Whether or not its yours, I'm going to take it. Now why don't you move along now before you get hurt." I said harshly, knife now in hand.

"You're here to take my treasure, hm? I don't think that'll be happening." I replied with a smirk tilting up at the corners of my lips. I held my hand out in front of me, before speaking again. "I'm going to get hurt? I doubt you will with that flimsy weapon." A small flame appeared in the palm of my hand. The flame - instead of orange and red - was a dark purple colour. "Now, I'm giving you once more chance to leave."

I stared at the oddly colored fire momentarily before readying my knife. "Cute, but thats not going to help you." I said before throwing the knife towards her, straight at her head with clean precision.

Despite his throw being almost flawless, I quickly ducked down before the knife could slice into my head. The blade completely missed my head - but stabbed into my hat instead, which earned a gasp from me. "M-my hat! You awful, wicked man!" I exclaimed angrily, pulling the large hat off my head to hold it in front of me. I removed the knife from my accessory, tossing the blade on the ground behind me carelessly as I was too focused on the damage done to my hat. It seemed as if I was no longer interested in the stranger in front of me, as my attention was now completely diverted away from him. "This was my favourite hat.. Poor me.."

I stood in utter confusion at her behavior, was she being serious? Not knowing what to do I just stood there watching her for a few minutes before speaking again. "Oi I was just about to kill you, remember?" I said with an annoyed tone.

My head snapped up instantly at the sound of his harsh voice, his comment instantly breaking me out of my dreamy state. I placed the hat back on my head, my cheeks flushing pink in annoyance. "You, kill me? Ha, sure." I spoke confidently as I tried to recover from my embarrassing moment. "How'll you kill me anyway? You don't have any weapons." I added on, glancing back at the knife sitting on the ground behind me from when I'd pulled it out from my hat.

"Well, I, uh.." I paused as I realized I was now without a weapon. I decided to start bluffing. "Well ui dont need a weapon, I am a demon after all." I said with as much harshness and confidence i could in this lie.

I chuckled quietly at his response, clearly not being convinced by his lie. "A demon, hm? Right sure, I definitely believe that." I crossed my arms loosely around my chest as I spoke, taking a step towards him. "If you are actually a demon, why dont you show me something... Whatever magic you demons do.." I challenged, tapping my foot against the ground as I waited for his reply.

I paused, thinking on the top of my head some way to escape. I figured I could distract her somehow. As she waited I would pull out a canteen. "Water magic" I said as I doused her with the canteen, and started to run the other way.

A majority of the cool water from the canteen splashed onto my lower body, the rest sitting in a large puddle at my feet. Steam rose quickly through the tiny holes of my dark stockings, causing shrill cry to come from my lips, the piercing sound creating a soft echo through the dark hallway. "I-I'm melting!" I shrieked, dropping onto my knees as I wrapped my arms around myself tightly in an attempt to hold together my liquefying body. When the clear liquid was thrown, some of it had entered into my dark boots, causing my feet to turn into a tan coloured sludge inside. A look of fear had spread itself across my face, as I knew what was yet to happen to me.

My head snapped up at the sound of footsteps approaching me, a scowl appearing on my face as I saw him. "Look what you've done! You vile, revolting man! Now I'm going to die.." I hissed angrily. "And as soon as I'm dead, you'll steal every last item you can find. What a greedy person!" The skin coloured muck now overflowed in my boots, and began to spill out quickly into a small puddle at my feet.

I stared up at him in confusion, my once angry expression now being gone. I eyed his hand warily, deliberating on what to do. I gingerly took ahold of his hand, my grip being loose as I prepared to jerk my hand away.

It was nearly to impossible to pull me out of the puddle. It was as if the tan muck had suddenly stuck onto me tightly, almost in an attempt to keep me still. I sighed sadly, letting go of his hands as I sat down in the puddle, giving up on trying. Half of my legs had already melted into the puddle, leaving my black boots abandoned as they sat to the side with the liquid sitting inside. Steam was no longer rising from my skin, and instead my skin bubbled as if it were being boiled.
