Its not over yet, my sister graduates in three days so yay more travel.

I feel like Aslynn is just meandering along, but she did just get there so it's to be expected. (I'm not sulking because I like plot shinnies too...)

You folks will get there, the both of you are still a bit disoriented as characters. It took Anise a while to get to where she is and she shifted from being so adamantly determined to return home that she lost her sanity into save the Dragon save the Forest. She's even changing from that to something else that I'm not entirely sure of.

I think it's pretty neat how the Dragon reached across worlds like it did just to save itself. Anise is beginning to notice her desperation and her taking actions regardless of the consequences and how it's going to affect her is going to be interesting. I have no clear idea what about it is going to change her, but Anise has very much become my favorite RP character since I joined the site.

So I was having personal issues then I had finals then I was super sick then I gOT A PUPPY tomorrow I have work but I have Monday off!!! Post should happen then.

Yay for puppies! Puppies are great! I wish I could have a puppy or full grown dog right now if it weren't for the fact that I'm not in a position to take care of one right now. (I'm waiting to graduate next semester first)

Epic double post time!

I find it pretty funny how each of our characters is figuring out how to write runes in their own way. One's getting a "formal" education so to speak and the other is basically trying it on a gut feeling. I'm interested in seeing the results.

God am I eager to see what happens next and what's to come even further down the road.

Actually I'm torn between arty being downright shit at runes or... Actually having some natural talent for it? Failure is always fun lol but homegirl needs something to rely on. I mean, she's gotten decently far on plain resourcefulness though (and the generosity of others lmao)... Hrmmmmmm....

Anyone have any stray thoughts?

Maybe hit some kind of middle ground? Like, some odd effects from runes that people don't normally expect. The Witch has been using them to imbue elemental power into weapons and armor -- attacks and defense and magic flashlights. The potential, however, is infinite. An example, carve a rune on a tree and activate it to sense the surrounding area, as far as that tree's roots stretch. Draw a rune on your palm with the intention of being able to read the mind of anyone you touch, or to turn whatever you touch into gold. Or maybe her intentions have an odd way of coming about, like the old trope careful what you wish for.

Yeah I was kinda brainstorming on the unconventional thing you said, Mok. Like I was debating having her first attempt to be a rune that activates other people's runes at full power, since oseely was talking about how personal they are and how they don't work as well for other people.
