Connor laughed, starting up the car, "look around, half the people here are wearing caps and shades." He said, as he drove out, pleased to be going home, if only so he could get Beatsie back. For now, the effects of sloth seemed deem, but Connor knew with the seven in the tworld, that wouldn't last.

He started off down the road, knowing they would do well to be somewhere safe by nightfall. "Or am I just shady looking no matter what?" He said with amusement, taking a quick look about to make sure they weren't being followed

"It's how you're acting too.." she said, kicking the seat back a bit. "Looking about is obvious, try using casualty." she smiled at him, and casually leaned on the door, looking in the mirror. "Anyways, it feels good to be going home right? Even if it might be chaos central?"

In the back of her mind, she was going over all the Deady Sins, and what it might be like if they were all going to roam about and allowed to gather their strength. The only thing she imagined though, was a collapse of society, a bunch of gangs, and too many deaths for people to handle.

Connor rolled his eyes, "sorry, I've never been accused of murder before. When we are home, I'm going to have to hack the database or something to change my finger prints for someone else's, someone already in jail. Let them think how someone killed someone from jail" he chuckled, amused at that thought "that way, if we ever get caught then they can't charge me" it would take time, he knew.

"It will be good to be home. To see Bessie. Poor girl, stuck in the boarding stables, probably wondering where I am."

He drove, thouhhts drifting to the growing darkness. Even if he couldn't erase his existence from those searching for him, he would still hunt the darkness. It was what he was made to do, after all

She chuckled at his responce but quieted down, though did not stop smiling, when he mentioned Bessie. "Yeah...won't she be surprised? And your old partner won't have to worry about maybe having to kill me."

She sat back, and relaxed for the rest of the ride, though she did keep her eyes on the rear view mirror, just incase. She was glad to be going back, no matter what danger was following them or waiting for them at their destination.

Connor nodded, "she will probably wonder why you don't smell the same, sure. But she's not a skittish horse so it should be okay." He said, looking over, looking back to the road, for now knowing that they were safe, or as safe as a moving car was.

"I hope the farm is okay" he said the thought occurring to him
That someone may have torched it when they couldn't find him, a demon or Something, and thought thought worried him now

She smiled a little, glad to remember that Bessie wasn't a skittish horse. She still neededed to get him that stud too...unless something happened to the farm, since connor seemed worried about it. Her mind slipped to Marl, hoping he was ok in the city full of chaos.

She was quiet a moment, "Things...are going to be really difficult..." she said, almost as a reminder to herself too. "..we both have a lot to protect now..."she looked at him wih love, though shewas nervous. "Im glad I can fight with you..whatever it means.'

Connor wasn't going to lie. There was a lot that would come after them, and a lot of bad that existed out there. "They will be, but that's never stopped me before. And as you said, more to protect now. And we aren't alone" He said, with a smile, reaching over and giving her hand a squeeze.

"Things will be okay. Eventually" He said, "There will be just a few bumps in the road" He said confidently, "They won't know what hit them!" He said, grinning, hoping to bring a bit of levity to the situation.

She squeezes his hand in eturn and smiles, "maybe Ic an hit them with a car...how you would say...plow through them?"

Connor laughed, and agreed.

For once, they seemed to have an easy path to their destination, and that just made Connor feel uneasy. But soon he saw the sign for the stables, and having left his horse trailer there, he was more then ready to pick up Bessie.

When he got out there car, he took a moment to look about, but didn't sense anything bad nearby, before smiling at Elizabeth, and approaching the stables. Before he had even stepped foot into it, he heard running hooves, and seconds later, there was Bessie, nudging his shoulder

Being alive again gave her some sort of advantage...such as being able to nap whenever she wanted, in dark or light...and that sunlght sure was soothing...

A couple times she napped lightly on the way, however she was happily wide awake when they came up to the stables. As connor looked back to her, she grinned, but grinned even more as Bessie was quick to come to him. She must have smelled them upwind or something. She decided to say hello again, so she stepped out of the ca and walked over. "heeeeey girl...."

Connor hugged Bessie, and stroked her neck, smiling when Elizabeth approached, laying a hand on Bessie's neck. Bessie didn't seem at all fazed by the change in scent that Elizabeth was sure to have, and nudged her shoulder the same as she had with Connor.

Connor smiled and stepped back, already approaching the horse Trailer, to attach it to the truck, more then ready to go home. He was approached by a farm hand, who appeared a little bit shocked at how Bessie had trotted right over to them. Connor merely smiled, and paid for the stable, the feed and the care they had given Bessie, turning to Elizabeth, "Shall we go home?"

Elizabeth giggles with glee as her favorite horse nudged her in greeting, and she kept her busy as Connor set up the ttrailer and dealt with the stable-hand.

When he asked if they were ready to go home, she smiled, getting a new, more solid feeling from the word. "I think we are beyond ready..for home."

Connor smiled, and with determination, urged Bessie into the trailer. "Only for a little while, girl. And then we'll be home" He said, patting Bessie for a moment, before getting in the car. When Elizabeth was in, Connor started the car, and drove towards the farm.

he was worried what he would find there, but the farm hadn't been burned to the ground or ransacked. It was as they had left it, and Connor was relieved. He still got out the car though, and grabbing his gun, made to look about the farm, checking even though his senses told him no one supernatural was around. That didn't mean they didn't have human minions.

For a bit, Elizabeth was happy to going back...yet....as they neared, she also was given to waves of uncertanty and nervousness.
Even as she saw the farm standing fine, she did let relax. When Connor got out, so did she...but she hung around the trailer with Bessie and let Connor stake things out.

Her own senses were on high, as thoughts of merl passed through her head. They needed to check in with him.

(Sorry for the delay, my mind is fuzz)

For now, everything seemed alright. Connor relaxed and moved back towards Bessie and Elizabeth, smiling and opening the trailer, letting Bessie out. The horse didn't need to be told twice to exit, and Connkr petted her when she was out, "stay close, okay girl?" As she trotted off around the grounds, it was with amusement that Connor understood she was doing her own perimeter. Chuckling, he turned to Elizabeth, "I want to check in with Merl first, but hopefully nothing has happened"

(not a problem XP never thought we'd gt to it everyday or anything)

"I...would also like to check in with Merl." She said, a slight pause at first as she watched the horse trot around the area. "I want to see him as a human...and talk about...well, evrything, I guess. There is so much going on, Connor."

Connor checked the house, making sure that nothing had been disturbed, her grabbed a thick book, and tucked it under his arm, before heading back out the house, locking up once more.

He returned to Elizabeth, giving her a smile. "Shall we go?0

She was almost relaxed as she watched the horse go about her business, but she perked up as she heard the door open and close and gave Connor a little bit of a smile in return. There was little to smile about, she thought, but she couldn't really help it around Connor..he made her feel like, in some way, everything was going to be alright as long as she could feel like love for that moment.

"I think we shall." she said, jogging back to the side of the car.
