Greetings. I would like to know if there was any interest for a roleplaying campaign set in a scenario strongly based on medieval and renaissance-era Italy. Players will be able to impersonate a group of mercenaries, starting out sent on a simple mission by one of the many feudal lords of the peninsula, but will later become involved in the political and military conflicts that ravage the various states of Italy.

The world, as I said, is strongly rooted in actual history, featuring many historical characters and events. The main plot revolves around the war between two factions, the Guelphs and the Ghibellines; if you have any more detailed question about the lore or plot, please ask, I'll be glad to answer them.

Players will be able to interact with other characters in the world as they prefer, pursuing glory, wealth, power, or all things at once, through various means: they will be able to lead armies on the battlefield and raze enemy cities to the ground, they will be able to pull the strings of courtly intrigues and assassinate, blackmail and steal while hidden in the shadows, they will be able to convince the dukes and lords of Italy to fight by their side, or they may try to carve out their domains and gain their own piece of land to call their realm.

Ideally, I would like 3 to 5 players, but I'm open to making this a 1x1 roleplay if necessary.
