I would just like to remind you that the IC starts tomorrow, so I'd say that you should probably start preparing your posts.
If the likely situation occurs that no one claims Austria-Hungary by tomorrow I'd just want to know if you'd prefer a situation where the Archduke ends up being killed or if you'd prefer if he survives.

I am quite concerned this RP is going to along the lines of the Entente Powers making none of their historical mistakes or quite simply being so amzing that the Central Powers don't stand a chance.

Might be better if I simply join as Canada.

I mean, if you play as Austria-Hungary you could just delay the start of the war by making sure the Archduke doesn't go to Bosnia.
That or you could just pick another nation and just see how it devolves. I'd be fine either way (though I would prefer if you picked Austria-Hungary just so we could have all of the major powers in WW1 actually being used)

Though I'd be fine with you being Canada. Its just you would have to work out how you'd want to work out being a colony with The Spectre.

If I may add. We shouldn't really have colonies until mainpowers are taken such as serbia,AH maybe nations like Mexico if we do the Zimmerman telegram?

I'm pretty sure the people here are respectable enough to not make their nations too overpowered. This is a narrative NRP, after all, not a competitive one. Wouldn't be much fun if everybody had their nations suddenly right their every wrongs and end the war in under a year. :)

You make good points. We must remember that military leaders were largely incompetent in WWI. Mistakes should be common!

Btw, at the beginning, Finnish troops will be fighting alongside the Russians, as Finland is part of Russia. Whether Finland gains independence or not will depend upon internal Russian disorder, or Germany's actions. Just thought I should mention that.
