After leaving the briefing room with the other squadron leaders, Victor headed directly for the hangar where his squadron was stationed. He kept his pace quick while his mind processed through the information on the upcoming task. Normally, all units from the squadron would have their own briefing after the officers had theirs but do to time restraints, the squadron leads were giving a quick rundown on what is wanted and what their general tasks are when they exit hyperspace.

Upon entering the hangar, Victor saw all eleven of his squadron awaiting him by the loading ramps. James 'Cannon' Fletch, a man of average height and build but with a well groomed mustache that matched his uniform, spotted Victor coming and quickly ordered the squadron to get to attention. The 2nd Lieutenant gave Cannon a quick nod as he spoke to the group, "We're headed for Dantooine." He looked at the group in front of him as they remained stationary and unresponsive. "Intel has found an artifact called the 'Star Map'. Lord Tidus has made it clear that this artifact is a top priority objective, as it's probably already in enemy hands. Our battle group, Battle Group Sigma, will be joining up with Battle Group Orion over Dantooine in an effort to subdue the planet and take the artifact." Victor began to slowly pace up and down the line as he spoke, "While most of the starfighter forces will be focused on aiding the planetary assault, a handful of others will be assigned space interception duty. One of the squadrons assigned to this duty is ours. Due to the large amount of space we'll be covering, I've decided that we'll split into four teams of three. Cannon, you'll lead with Green and Debris. Flail, you're with Havoc and Chef. Belt, you'll lead the third group with Barrage and Cloud-9. Boom and Recruit, you're with me. When you engage with a vessel; shoot to disable, not kill. We can't risk destroying the artifact. On top of that, when you do engage, let the rest of us know and we'll try to catch up with you and provide fire support." Victor stopped pacing, "Any questions?"

Debris was the first to speak up, "Expected resistance?"

"Hostiles are assumed to be desperate but dangerous, don't underestimate anyone."

"How many of our own are supporting us?" Cannon asked.

Victor pulled up a data pad to give it a quick run through, "Roughly... seven or eight squadrons of TIEs with another two squadrons of Interceptors we'll be assisting. The rest of the fleets starfighter compliment will be busy on planet. That isn't to say they won't give chase into orbit if a vessel tries to escape."

Davran 'Belt' Cho, a black skinned man with an intimidating physique and dashing sideburns, spoke up next, "Shooting to disable is rather tricky with our weaponry, what if we face an enemy squadron?"

"While command said to disable all vessels that are attempting to escape, it would be safe to assume; if a group of vessels or starfighters attempt to delay or distract us while another one of their own attempts to flee, that the 'distraction' force is of little value, so feel free to turn them into scrap."

Before anymore questions could be asked, the alarm system started to sound, indicating the Imperial Star Destroyer will be exiting hyperspace shortly. Victor quickly shouted to his squadron as Cannon passed him his helmet, "To your starfighters!"

The hangar bursted into life as various groups of pilots ran to their starfighter while the deck crew made sure the hangar was clear for the launch of all squadrons. Victor put his helmet on and connected the tube that would feed him his oxygen supply while within his starfighter. A hiss followed by a click told him that it was sealed before he climbed into his TIE Interceptor. Victor did a fairly quick overview of all his starfighter's systems, including the switch to his slight modification of the craft. It's a switch he hopes none of the mechanics will ever notice, due to it's odd and awkward placement under his seat.

When everything seemed to be in working order and when he received confirmation pings from both Recruit and Boom that their vehicles were the same, Victor opened comms with his squadron, "All teams report in. Krayt 1 ready."

Cannon's voice came through, "Krayt 2 is all clear and ready for launch."

Belt's deep voice came through next, "Krayt 3 ready."

"I guess that makes us Krayt 4 then." Flail's voice chirped. "We're good-to-go, Leuit."

"Roger that." Victor opened comms with the control tower, "Krayt Squadron ready for action."
