[OOC] The Capitol Hunger Games - Learning Games

After the 76th Hunger Games, Alma Coin put forward the idea of having another Hunger Games with the Capitol children. They were to be revenge for the suffering of all the districts, and would have to include only children from the Capitol directly related to those who held the most power. This was voted on by the remaining victors: Katniss, Peeta, Haymitch, Johanna, Beetee, Annie, and Enobaria. Out of 7 votes, 4 of the remaining victors said yes to this proposal. 

Katniss voted yes for her sister, Prim. Haymitch agreed with Katniss, The Mockingjay. Johanna thought it was only fair due to the fact that President Snow had a granddaughter. Enobaria wanted the Capitol to have a taste of what it was like to loose there children. Annie, Beetee, and Peeta voted against it. They all agreed that the reason for the rebellion was to stop the Hunger Games, and only tossing the Capitol children into a arena made them no different.

However, the vote was carried out and the Capitol children would go through with the Hunger Games. The name was changed something more appropriate name: The Learning Grounds. It was going to be a lesson to the Capitol and for the future generations. The Learning Grounds would still include 12 girls and 12 boys at random, with a minimum age of 12 through 17. The Capitol children would also have to tour the 12 districts, have training, and do a interview. Just like the the Annual Hunger Games. 

Welcome to The Learning Grounds. 

And congratulations, you have been selected to participate in the Capitol Hunger Games; also called The Learning Grounds. You are one of the lucky 24 participants to carry out what the other 12 districts have been doing for 76 years. To finish the rebellion with a bang, having you participate would only make the Capitol understand what pain and suffering the 12 districts had to endure for your freedom since it had a cost. With our generosity and forgiveness for how the Capitol treated the 12 districts for the last 76 years, there will be one last Hunger Games. We swore as a nation we would never know this treason again and this is how we are going to safe guard our future. Your parents hold high regards to the Capitol, and your name was lucky enough to be chosen from bowl filled with other names with there parents also having high ranks within the Capitol. We would like to welcome you into The Learning Grounds, and may the odd ever in your favor.

I hate posting rules. I really do, but it seems that I have to in order for people to understand how anything runs nowadays. With that said, lets jump in:

1. Follow the site rules. Simple and easy.

2. This is a low-advance role-play. What I mean by that is at lease 2-3 paragraphs every time you post. It gives the other members of the group a chance to work with something. 4-6 sentences make a good paragraph (I shouldn’t have to point that out). NO DAMN LINERS. You post less than what is asked, you will be kicked. 

3. I ask that you post twice a week. I am not asking for much. I have a crazy schedule with my work, and I also work graveyard. So, I can promise two posts a week, if not more. I understand life happens, it’s happen to me. However, if you don’t post anything in five days, you will be given one warning. If nothing has been posted after seven days, your character will be killed off. However, if you reply after that one warning, and then drop off again without notice, you will be kicked. Plain and simple. I am not playing around. If you are serious about this, then the posting rules won’t matter to you.

4. Grammar. Do NOT be a fucking grammar nazi. We all make mistakes. I do, you do, and so does the grammar nazi. We are human, not robots. With that said, don’t be a fool either. Do not talk like a gangster: “Yo broz, wiz up wit u 2day!”. Please do your best when you post. That is all I ask.  

5. Please try to be active. Enough Said.

6. Don’t be a pussy either. If you don’t like the language used, get the fuck out. Because this will have blood, guts, gore, graphic topics, and I promise you.. lots of cussing. Makes a sailor look like a saint. If there is sex involved, fade it into the dark please. 

7. Don’t be a douchebag. Be polite to your members. If you have a disagreement, discuss it. Fix the problem so we can all have fun on here. We don’t want one person dragging us down now!

8. Rules can and will be added when it needs to be added to help shape this role-play into a awesome experience. 

If you have any problems, issues, concerns, ideas, comments, or whatever.. please speak up. We are all adults here. It’s like having the open door policy here. Come on in and discuss it. I am open to anything and willing to talk. Hell, it’s hard to insult me!

I will be posting soon with ideas regrading the Arena. As a group, we will pick and decided which Arena our children are going into, and also what twists will be with in it. I have a few ideas already set aside to pick from. However, please include in your character sheet if you have any ideas of your own that we can include in this section!

Appearance:

(Has intricate floral tattoos on his forearms and usually wears light violet-colored contacts over his naturally green eyes. His hair is naturally blond, but is always dyed a brilliant coppery ginger.)

Age: 12

Gender: Male

Related To: Nephew of Caesar Flickerman
 
Talents: Icarus is actually quite good at building things and figuring out how they work. This may or may not come in handy in the games...

Strengths:
.Icarus has a good memory and vividly recalls the past 4 or 5 games, and the strategies used therein.
.After a life of having as much free time and outside activity as he pleased, Icarus is in quite good physical shape. He's fast and strong for his age, and unlike the tributes of past games he's never been starved a day of his life.

Weaknesses:
. The very idea of killing another human being is rather traumatizing to him, as unlike the District kids he never had to deal with that as a reality. 
. His age is a big weakness. He could easily be overpowered by an older tribute. 

Thoughts About Rebellion: Icarus was very sheltered from the whole ordeal. As soon as things got dangerous, his family went into hiding and ultimately survived the ordeal. Because nobody in his immediate or extended family was killed, Icarus is psychologically speaking mostly unaffected by the Rebellion. 

History: WIP

Family History: Caesar Flickerman, the tribute interviewer, is Icarus's mother's brother. Icarus's parents, Crystal and Caius Flickerman, are both popular plastic surgeons who occasionally have done work prepping victors, making them presentable again after the gruesome games. Icarus has a very good relationship with his parents and uncle. 

What was their favorite part about the Annual Hunger Games: Watching his uncle's interviews and placing bets with his friends on who would win.
