Over a thousand students attend Breckenridge High School, a rough school in an even rougher town. Separated into five forms of curriculum, students are given one label, based on their academic performances, which dictates what that student can and can't do within the school: AP, Honors, Regular, Special, and Remedial. AP, short for Advanced Placement, is for the smartest, most gifted of the population; it can be argued that AP students don't even quite belong in high school. Honors is just short of them. Regular students are the largest. Special is for those who can't keep up, often because of mental disorders or other disabilities. And Remedial is for those who don't care about their grades, struggle for reasons not connected to a particular disorder, or are juvenile delinquents who might not even graduate at all before being thrown into jail.

It's mid-December; students are excited about the approach of the winter break, Christmas, and the New Year. Midterms are nearing completion, make-up tests are being scribbled on, projects presented and turned in.

But one afternoon, on December 17th, just before school is about to dismiss and students released to savor the two-week-long break from their studies, a strange, unknown voice announces through the intercom in place of the normal afternoon announcements, "From here on out, students will be separated based on their status within the school. AP students are a collective. Honor students are a collective. And so on and so forth. Each week, a new objective will be presented. Whichever group manages to complete that objective first will be given the best of the supplies, as well as a bonus. Two more groups, upon finishing the objective, will also be granted supplies, but not as much and without the time bonus. The last two groups, however, will have to find an alternate means of lasting through the week until the next objective."

It's been too long since I've been on this site. I can't remember how to do hardly anything. And things have changed. So, that's my cry for you to be patient with me.

Anyways, I approve of you participating and all. Just let me know if it actually impedes you when you try to, like, send a post, okay? I'll do my best to fix that as quickly as I can. Oh, and make sure that, with the first post, copy it, just in case it doesn't let you put it out there. I'm pretty sure that the "apply" button thing is just a formality, though. You know, like knocking on the door before going into a public bathroom, even when you're positive that no one's in there. Just know that "pretty sure," at least for me, is an "eh, I'm probably wrong."

Here is the basic character skeleton, but there's no reason to restrain yourself to it. Add anything else that you feel is important.

Name:
Gender:
Age:
Grade (9-12):
Academic Status (AP, Honors, Regular, Special, Remedial):
Race/Ethnicity:
Hair Color:
Eye Color:
Height:
Build/Weight:
Background:

Students aren't the sole people involved in this RP; the teachers are victims just as much as their students. However, there are far fewer teachers than students, of course. Here is the basic character skeleton for a teacher.

Name:
Gender:
Age:
Grade (as in, which grade the teacher oversees; 9-12; also mention which level that their particular class is at, which can be AP, Honors, Regular, Special, or Remedial):
Subject (can be either an academic or elective course):
Race/Ethnicity:
Hair Color:
Eye Color:
Height:

You're referring to the number of characters that you can have, correct? If so, you can have more than one character, as we plan on writing in third-person for this RP. In the beginning of the RP, the groups are separated by their academic status (AP, Honors, Regular, Special, and Remedial), so if you have an entire group that's working together in the beginning, that will probably wind up being too many characters to handle properly all at once. Then, as the RP progresses, rules are changed, which causes groups to become more numerous, but smaller in their numbers. How I plan on doing it is by having multiple characters that are each of a different academic status, then add in more as it goes on. So, in the earlier parts of the RP, I'll be introducing five students, plus a couple of teachers, and we kinda rotate between groups in order to focus on each of them for a while until things start kicking into gear, bringing them together in either fights or negotiations.

So... Let's just say that we start with a limit of five students (per player), plus a few teachers, and we introduce more characters as we go along. Since, well, characters are inevitably going to get killed off in this thing.

Keep in mind that we're not writing as, like, ten different characters per post or anything. We'll be rotating the cast, to focus on what is going on in one part of the school, then in another, and in another.
