The RP is going to be a DND RP, without mechanics, about a group of outcast anti-hero adventurers. I got eight slots, so who wishes to tell their tale?

You say it's going to be a Dungeons & Dragons RP, but what universe would it be based on? And which edition would you primarily be drawing from? You also mention it being without mechanics, but that's sort of an oxymoron considering D&D is itself a mechanical system. Do you just mean you'll be using one of the traditional settings, and drawing inspiration from the books as we go along?

Meaning using no aspects of mechanics, just lore about races, magic, and realms. The world itself is one I've made for this. And I'm debating between G3 and G4

I'd be up for this. Might resurrect my Kenku if it's permitted. (although he wasn't too much of an antihero now that I think of it, he was a good boy)

We're making a Wizard and Cleric respectively. I had a question, you mentioned that it was your setting, yes? Do you think it would be fine for Rosette and I to work on our backstories with you? We had some cool ideas for character origins, and as a Cleric, I had things I needed to cleric-fy with you regarding deities and worship.

EDIT: Also, just putting my word in that I would prefer it to be based off of third's lore. I'm not too familiar with other editions.

Always up for DnD. 3rd preferred if we're feeling out the room.

Do to popular request, it seems 3rd edition is what will be used. Same with classes.

Edit: And any reasonable race is available. Otherwise, you gotta' convince me, like I said earlier.

I have no experience with 3rd edition, is there any specific stuff I should know that's different from 5e before I create a character?

I'm the same as @Rydude17, I've only done 5th, but happy to do 3rd. I should have a CS sometime into he next day or two, hopefully sooner rather than later.

3E isn't hard to find the rules and differences from 5E on the internet. I'm sure you could find something to help you.

Okay. Here is a sample of the start. Comments, concerns, criticism, suggestions welcome.

No guarantee I'll listen though.

In the city by the sea known as Bladsvimona, the city of a thousand sins, nine figures(you) of horrible yet Grand nature's wander their current home, each for their own reasons. A kobold runs through the city streets(a character I will be playing), hunted by the local officials in control. That one disrupts the on goings of all of the others, dragging them into a seemably un-profitable venture no one could predict. They start with the enemies of said venture; nobles of the city. They seek what the kobold search for, through a map the kobold owns.

This is only a summary of the start. Not all things for how I plan to start. Gotta keep some secrets.

Looks like a solid foundation to start with. I'm sure that things will be explored in further detail throughout the roleplay! One question, you mention nine "figures" in your tomato, but there are not nine people interested in the roleplay - furthermore, you said you only wanted 8 players max. Is there somebody else joining that hasn't expressed interest in the thread? Does this mean we're not starting until you fill every slot?

As for concerns, just one. You mention explicitly that it's an un-profitable venture, and that this mysterious GMPC kobold is some stranger who is interrupting our business. Now, as anti-heroes with our own reasons for being in town, I have to wonder why our characters would let themselves be caught up in something like this. There generally has to be a strict motive for a party of anti-heroes to start working together, usually something that benefits all of their common goals without strictly empowering any one party member. Could you give some more insight into that part of the introduction, if it isn't a spoiler?

I said seemably. I would think a kobold running from a bunch of guards would peak someone with a bad track record's interest, at least for a bit. Plus, when I mean disturb, I mean ruin their whole day. I am aware that not the total amount of people are interested, and I may have someone else joining yes.

As for the indent, I am aware of it, but I prefer to use tab.
