Greetings and salutations!

I'll put this up as a placeholder for now, and will add more as things become concrete or new ideas are added in.

The basic premise is new versions of classic monsters act as a mercenary task force, and the setting will involve various factions which the groups will have to navigate and either work for, against or alongside.

Some inspirations for the world I'm aiming to build include

I don't want too big of a group. So we'll probably need three more before things can start moving.
Also, what do you think about making this an amalgam typesetting like the inspirations exist together?

Yeah. The original idea was the classic Universal monsters (Frankenstein, Dracula, etc, etc) have lived up to the present day and have formed a group of mercenaries to take on jobs.

That's what I got from your description. I lay claim to any witch/sorceress in the form of a man. Just saying I like to bend the rules.

In terms of the mixture of typesetting, I guess it would all depend on how confusing it would be. I think having it in the present-day would be great. We can tackle things like the evil mastermind behind the release of a certain virus. We can have some mythical creature planning on melting the ice caps to flood the Earth. Even small things like a detective would solve on a daily.

Sure, I don't mind a male magic user. Since this is plot-driven, I'm not going to be too strict with power restrictions so long as it makes sense.

Yeah. I get you. I don't think it'll be too difficult to have the organizations together, but I'll think over how they could co-exist.

Exactly. That's the beauty of mercenary work. Everything could be requested. Some days we could be sent to infiltrate a monster's base, act as protection for an underground auction, entertain spoiled rich kids, serve as contestants for paranormal game shows, etc, etc.
