Despite success as an artist and novelist, they lived in a mediocre studio apartment and rented the garage on the property in the small city. They'd lived in the same place for three years, since they moved here with nothing but their motorcycle and a couple bags of belongings. A change of pace, they called it to anyone who asked. Reality wasn't so kind or whimsical.
He was successful, well liked by his co-workers and fairly sociable, but despite that he didn't live an overly fulfilling life. Perhaps he focused too much on his career in his young adult life. Whatever the reason, sometimes he found himself thinking of doing something new, or going somewhere else. He never did.
What happens when two people of entirely different walks of life meet by chance?
Muse A is the reigning monarch of an expanding kingdom rapidly growing in power. He needs the stabilize his empire, but to do that he needs allies. Yet despite his efforts to meet with other rulers to discuss treaties and trade deals, he still has none. So he takes drastic measures.
Muse B is the beloved child of a small perpetually spring kingdom. There's little military force, but somehow this kingdom has amassed vast amounts of political and monetary power.
When Muse B's father refuses to negotiate with Muse A, Muse A takes matters into his own hands. He kidnaps Muse B, and while their family thinks him a monster for it, Muse A treats Muse B as an honour guest. Albeit, one who cannot leave. As Muse B learns more about his position and Muse A learns more about them, they begin to grow closer and eventually work together to stabilize his kingdom.

It hadn't always been the three of them. In middle school they didn't all get along. No one could have predicted that these three would be as close as they became in the three years of highschool. From bitter rivals to the best of friends. It was a transformation that astounded friends and mentors alike. They typically sat next to one another, they left together, they were just always together. Cue them moving onto college. None of them really wanted to be separated. They cherished each other and didn't want to lose the best friends that they had. The three of them spent hours pouring over what university could cater to all of their needs. Finally they found one across the country. Now, the three of them are moving in together in a small townhouse and getting ready to start the next chapter of their lives. What could possibly change living together? Who knows.

Sometimes there's the rare case that can't shift and often they're ostracized from society because of this. Loved by her family but not by the village, Ambrosine is one of the few women her age in the Blackbrush Jaguar Clan, but she can't shift. Where she would normally have suitors and friends aplenty, she's gradually been pushed further and further from her peers. Aside from her brothers, her father, and her sister, she's generally alone.
