I haven't heard anything from anybody else, so I'm going to go ahead and write up a simple intro, aiming to have something posted by Wednesday @King Cosmos@Double@The World

Kinda, I do have a character in mind, I'm just not sure what to do about the deck, honestly. I'm not sure where to begin building deck with the ruleset you've linked. I'm not sure I fully get link and XYZ

Kinda, I do have a character in mind, I'm just not sure what to do about the deck, honestly. I'm not sure where to begin building deck with the ruleset you've linked. I'm not sure I fully get link and XYZ


XYZ - 2 or more monsters of the same level. Monsters used for the summon become "material" that can be detached to activate effects.

Link - Use monsters equal to the Links "Link rating" to summon them. All non-Link monsters are treated as 1 for the rating, Links can be treated as either 1 or their own Link rating; e.g. 2 non-Links to make a Link-2, 3 non-Links to make a Link-3. A Link-3 plus a non-Link can make a Link-4 or a Link-2. Links can only be summoned to the Extra Monster zone or a zone pointed to by a Link monster.

Aile's extra deck is insane. Zeus, Accesscode and I:P summon Unicorn are way above everything else we have.

She has money to burn More seriously though, I had a feeling they were good, but I didn't think they were that busted. I was on the fence on including them since they didn't really fit the knight theme. Should I take them out to make the deck 'power level' similar to the rest?

Okay, no, but for real though. I don't mind removing them if it'll fit the RP more. I guess I'll leave it to GM @RickyG85

Hmmm... I think a fair compromise would be to pick 1, based on the responses I'm seeing.

I leave that up to you, whether or not you take it is optional, since, again, the response hasn't been all that bad

I'd take out Masquerena at least. Unicorn is fine by itself as a generic piece of removal, but becomes more of a problem when you can summon it on the opponent's turn. And Accesscode is still beatable despite being really strong, but gets a lot worse when it's 5300 attack and can't be destroyed by card effects; I think some people just don't have an way to beat that, or maybe it's just Double.

Zeus is mainly a problem because it's a Quick-Effect, so there's not much people can do to avoid having their entire field swept away. Plus it's super easy to summon.

Meh, I'm not worried. My Deck is crappy on purpose. It'd be kinda weird if a dude who just started playing had some meta tier deck right off the bat.

Edit: Besides, you're focused primarily on her Extra deck when her main deck also has lots of quick-effect hand Traps and negates. Either way she'll be the top duelist among us at the start so... *shrug*

I can see there being a bit of a thematic rivalry thing between our decks building up what with the whole "knights slaying dragons" thing.

Yeah, I can see that. I guess if we want to lean into it we can even make them go to the same school. They probably will be at each other throat. A guy with no respect for authority and the student council president who would tell the teacher that they had homework

I wouldn't be opposed to that. There'd be something of a Joey/Kaiba animosity going on I imagine.
