not really, but my character would something like a ninja or samurai so she would only be able to use sword or throwing knives so...maybe hunter

I was hoping for sailing master/cook. Also would you mind if my character came from somewhere like Jamaica or Haiti?

@BK201: Hunters are always wanted, the crew needs meat! Also, I imagine your character coming from a country East of Andrus.

@Saarebas: It's good to have crew members that can take on different roles should the need arise. I assume more than one cook would be needed anyway. However, your title should either be "head cook" or "Sailing Master." Duties should be delegated for efficiency. However, I'm not saying you need to stick to one job. It's nice to know for in-RP emergencies. Also, I'm fine with your character coming from a place similar to either Haiti or Jamaica. I imagine that would be somewhere between Rosa and Lorek, perhaps to the west.

@SilverOwl: Hahaha, Why did you have to say that? I want to name the crew's ship the Silver Owl now...

@Sareebas: The sailing master controls the wheel and is usually the navigator, or well informed by the navigator with the ability to keep on course.

@Sareebas & SilverOwl: Since we have a sailing master and navigator let us talk about how the duties will be divided. SilverOwl's character could draft maps, and work on routes. Sareebas's character could be well acquainted with land marks, or be able to use the stars as a directional map, so he/she would be able to sail across SilverOwl's routes.

@BK201: A person chooses how they dress, so unless she is dressed like that against her will I don't have any problems with it. Plus, they're pirates, I'm sure showing skin isn't the worst things some of them have done.

I should point out that the master of sail doesn't touch the wheel for the most part.

His or her job is to adjust the rigging in order to catch the wind at its best angle. Some e sails need to be taut, other loose and they must all be rotated.

He or she must work with the helmsman while tacking back and forth if the wind is directly astern or ahead.
