You may want to indicate that in the writing. You're making them look the same, and I had to reread several times to try and distinguish the two. Either losing the quotation marks for thoughts or italicizing, or even using dashes to visually separate thinking from speech would save a great deal of confusion and time.

Haha. I sound like one of my old professors... I guess I did learn something.

Sorry about that, I was going to post today about Gabe meeting and interacting with Bast and Fenrir, but Lantern advanced the story, so I couldn't. I'll have a throwback to him meeting with your character and Fenrir after the battles are over.

I'm just saying, there would be zero question if the two were more easily discernible from each other. *Shrug* But it's your post. I'm not trying to write it for you, I'm trying to prevent having to continually have you clarify things.

The explosion had packed quite a wallop and it had hurt. He pulled himself away from the crater he had made in the building, and flew back towards the metallic monstrosity. He had an idea and would test it out. He closed the distance between him and the villain, reaching out to grab Shrapnel. He grabbed onto the villain as he and Fenrir were tangled in ferocious combat. He began to focus his energy manipulation to try and draw from the power of the villain and drain him of his energy. It was very slow but he felt the villain's power begin to seep out from his body as Patriot absorbed it. Shrapnel quickly realized what was going on and punched both Patriot, Bast and Fenrir with powerful blows and sent them flying off of him.

The image is a creature that resembles an old lady saying "wat". From what I understand, it's because you controlled other peoples' characters in your post.

I was just posting having Shrapnel knock everyone off of him, i thought Fenrir was attacking him

Yeah, but I do believe that players like to say what happens to their characters. I think it's an honest mistake, but I'm in no place to tell you what to do. Rather, SirenSong, BlackSam3091 and KidLantern are.

i thought that when it came to the villains hitting our character, we could post them hitting the heroes as long as it wasn't lethal

^This... along with the fact that it reads across as especially awkward considering that Fenrir is the only one within actual close distance of Shrapnel. Bast did her small part and fell back.

i just edited it so only Patriot and Fenrir got punched. Patriot has a plan and is waiting for his teammates opinion on it

The origin of Shrapnel is unknown. He came into conflict with the Doom Patrol while on a murder spree. Celsius, the leader of the Doom Patrol, encased him in a solid block of ice. He broke free from the block of ice and the shards hit Celsius point blank and hospitalized her. Lodestone was unable to magnetize him and Tempest figured out that Shrapnel is a series of organic cells creating a single consciousness that feeds on the blood of victims.

We can't magnetize this dude or drain some kind of energy that isn't there. The only known weakness is from the Batman Brave & Bold cartoon where...

OMAC was then able to defeat Shrapnel by tiring him down...

Girder on the other hand is just super strong, and durable. Rust hurts him so he feels pain if he's around a lot of water. He CAN be magnetized.



Double Down is just a disgusting dude to look at as he can somehow control the cards ripping off of his skin with his thoughts. Since it was a cursed deck of cards that grafted to him, we're gonna go with mystical in nature.

So... uh... may I ask what happened to Revan?

Also, you should do that sort of info thing with future opponents. I'd never heard of any of these guys before this RP.
