Kyogen Akechi, 7th division Lieutenant.

Kyogen continued on his way towards the meeting place of the captains. To be honest, he was a bit excited, maybe this mission would have something that could hurt him.

Kyogen wasn't battle crazy, he was a just plain crazy. He wanted to be overwhelmed in a fight, but he feared dying. It was a weird cycle.

It was then another hell butterfly landed on his finger. Kyogen listened to the message, before he smashed the butterfly in his palm. A wing fell out of his fist.

"They think they are pulling me off that easily? Oh no. I will do my mission, I am a loyal soul reaper, and will always get the job done. A little dangers only extra to me."

With that, he hurried his pace. His 'excuse' was he never got the hell butterly.

Appearing in the hall, Kyogen bowed, though as always, half mockingly. If he was lucky, he'd piss off the captain commander.

"Lieutenant Akechi, reporting for duty, I just recieved orders I am to assist on a mission to the Rukongai again? Let's go on and do it then. I have no intentions of growing old."

Looking around, he commented.

"Seems I've missed my captain again."

Yuka Mogami

"Lets." Yuka replied, before the two of them began on their way to the Kido corps. She was intrigued to hear that this lieutenant was apparently rivals with Majime, her former subordinate and friend. She could not remember if Majime had mentioned him before or not. In any case, she wondered if Majime would be there when they arrived. She wondered if this rivalry of his was strong enough to elicit an amusing reaction. Perhaps he would even be the one sending them all off? But then again, she couldn't imagine they would get Majime to perform such a simple task like opening the Senkaimon. She would have to see whether he would be there or not.

It did not take all too long for them to arrive at the Kido corps headquarters. Once there, Yuka spied someone standing outside the building, loitering around. She decided to take a chance and guess this was the man they were looking for. "Hey, are you lieutenant Osaka?" She began, approaching him. "Ready to get to work?" When she thought about it, they had been given little information about what they were doing. The orders were "go to the Forest of Menos and meet the recon team", and that was it. Hopefully the lieutenant didn't expect any explanations from her or Kounura.

翔 太 林

Division Three Lieutenant
S H O T A H A Y A S H I

"You're back already?" the young lieutenant asked the question of his superior from atop one of the many tiled roofs within the Seireitei. He had seemingly sprouted from nowhere and with his head tilted to one side he immediately began to question his Captain.
"Did he say much? The Captain commander I mean. Do you have a mission?" jumping down from his perch he found himself stood inches from captain Yukimura. It was rather strange for Shota to have someone even smaller than he, albeit by only an inch. It was especially strange considering she outranked him, Shota naturally assumed the stronger people are the bigger they are. Yet here he was, a young prodigy faced with a captain that if stacked upon each other would not even reach some of the taller Shinigami he had seen.

Shota took a quick glance around Kuromi, inspecting her hands and outfit to make sure nothing was hidden, maybe a written order? Shota knew, in some deep recess of his mind that many might call sense, that standing so close to his captain for long wouldn't be a very good idea. As per usual however these kinds of thoughts didn't even cross Shota's mind and in fact his only action in response to the few seconds of silence, born from his yet unanswered question, was to push his face closer. Eye to eye he waited for his answer, or more likely his black eye.

Roumenji Sendo

Roumenji was about to head off before a Lieutenant appeared before him, half assing his bow and speaking without any type of permission given. He had sent Airi and her squad on a mission they wouldn't likely make it back from, should he do the same to this person? "My, respect seems to have gone out the window with this generation. Lieutenant, you were to report to the South Rim, not to me. I suggest you head out there immediately or risk losing all the fun" Roumenji turned around, walking towards the hallway which Akechi came from and briefly stopping to speak "And another act up like that and it'll cost you your hand. Respect the Captains, Lieutenant." He resumed his walk, his footsteps slowly fading the further he walked down the dark hallway with no clear end. At the same time, a Hellbutterfly had already been sent to Lieutenant Mirja to replace Captain Mao.

Lieutenant Reila Ryuga, 10th Division

Reila was in her room finishing up some paperwork while the Captain was busy at a meeting. The meeting was held by the glorious captain commander and it was exclusive to the leaders of each division of the Gotei 13. Though she couldn't participate due to not meeting the necessary requirements, she couldn't help but ponder as to what they were doing. Sure it was about business matters on the outside, but what about on the inside? They could probably be getting more hammered than the average drunk soul who decides to drink their life away for all Reila knew. Of course that was unlikely the case, since the Head Captain had a serious and diligent attitude whenever he was in her presence. Luckily for Reila, she was on her last set of papers which meant that she didn't have to keep thinking about random stuff like this just to pass the time.

Reila got up from her seat with haste upon finishing all of the paperwork. Being properly dressed prior to starting her work allowed the female lieutenant to kick open the door to her room without a second thought. She faded into obscurity right afterwards, only to reappear in front of a large house within one of the Rukongai Districts. A middle aged man casually leaned on the wall beside the door to the house as if he had been awaiting her arrival.

"Reila."
"Father." Reila replied while bowing before the man.
"You've been snooping around searching for him again, haven't you?"
"I know not of with what you speak father. But, if all you have for your beloved daughter is baseless accusations, then please excuse me." She said in an extremely polite manner as she made her way toward the house's entrance. Before she could enter however, her father grabbed hold of one of her arms. "Wait." Her eyes tilted in his direction. "Yes father?" The man's face was soaked in tears causing Reila to gently place her left hand on his cheek. "I'm sorry father for not being more considerate of your feelings but I cannot relinquish my position simply because my job is too dangerous. Besides, I won't even start to think about retiring until my blade has passed judgement on the one that brought its existence into fruition."

Manami, Mayu

Sitting on the edge of a roof with her arms stretching out to each side, Mayu was enjoying the fresh air and a break from her work. She was making a lot of progress lately and it was a nice change of pace after being stuck for months unable to make a breakthrough. She had planned on going back inside shortly to work some more but that didn't seem to be the plan for her according to the powers above. When Mayu finished stretching and she looked up a bit she spotted a butterfly coming towards her, which was nice to have a surprise pop up, the problem was it was never known what that surprise might hold. Mayu reached out with her left arm letting the butterfly land on her index finger as it relayed its message for her. Finally a sigh escaped her lips as she closed her eyes and spoke softly. "Message recieved."

Watching for a moment as the butterfly flew off Mayu smiled. It was a shame she wouldn't get to continue her work for now, but the exciting thing was that she was being sent on a mission, and that was always interesting. Mayu pushed off the roof gently and felll to the ground, but as soon as her foot touched the ground she was gone with a simple shunpo. She was heading off towards the southern districts figuring the others would locate her on their way there. She would also take a a leisurely pace so as not to rush too far ahead without anyone. A small chuckle escaped Mayu's lips as she went on her way though. It had been awhile since she'd seen Kyogen, so this could definitely be more entertaining than usual.

Meanwhile, Elsewhere in the darkness

"These filthy shinigamis... Having no respect for us. For me. If it was not for that damned Mad Man, storming in here with his two swords and a disgusting smile plastered on his face, I would still be King..." The dark figure snorted.

There was a faint torch light. The dark figure turned slightly, revealing his massive frame and scar...

"It is about time I put the fear back in these bastards. My children, march forth and bring hell upon the infidels who dares defy our might..." The giant man bellowed.

The ground rumbled. In the distance, the sound of a rusty gate opening can be heard...

Meanwhile, Elsewhere in the Rukongai

The Wanderer was doing what he did best, and that is wander. A sword that he has long forgotten the name to sit at his waist. The bell he had tied to his waist jingled. The dulled, senseless look on his face was wiped off and a small expression of panic took over. "No. Not now. I can't..." He whispered. In a uncharacteristic fashion, the old man seemed to execute Shunpo to the highest degree and simply vanished from plain sight.

Arriving at a nondescript manor, the old man paced through the hallways and into the main hall. The owner of the manor, another old man of intense physiques greeted him. "Ah. Sensei, what brings you here today? Come, sit, have some tea with me." The old man shook his head lightly and walked straight past the man, touching a calligraphy scroll hung on the wall. "Its time. They're ready again..." The older man said. The old man turned to look at the older man "Ah. I thought I felt a rumbling... Ladon...Ladon heard his call..." The older man nodded at the old man's comment. "Yes. After all, she was made from him... You think your boy is ready?" The older man asked. "He better be. What did you say to me before? 'If you die or disappear, I will kill you and nothing can save you.' ." By now, the calligraphy on the scroll had disappeared and a soul butterfly can be seen flying out of the manor and towards Seireitei. "Yes. I did. Though, this time around, if he dies, neither of us, nor that Roumenji brat can save them.." The older man said. "You know, Sensei, for a wanderer, you sure knows what is going on in the Gotei 13..." The old man chuckles. The dulled and dazed expression had returned to the older man. "Huh? what do you mean? I'm just a servant of Brom. I don't know anything about this Gotei 13 you speak of. Now, make me some tea, baka disciple." The older man said. With a smile, the old man carried on, making tea and acting as if nothing had happened...

Unagi mostly ignored Kenshin and Mirja as they addressed one another. He greatly disliked the lieutenant's tomfoolery, behaving like she was a small child, so he avoided the behavior whenever possible. Frankly he found that his friend's tolerance for it was nothing short of miraculous. Instead of involving himself in any way, Unagi mentally went over the last issue of Seireitei News Magazine and was brainstorming potential articles for the next issue. A newsletter about the increase of hollow activity would be necessary, to prepare his readers for any potential battles they'd be facing. Something more interesting and fun needed to follow that up, though. The best alcohols of the living world? Maybe. A drama piece on the noble houses? Eh, definitely not. The sexiest women of the Gotei? Winner. He'd personally write it up as soon as possible.

"In any case, I think I'll be heading back to the 11th, Eel-san, feel free to drop by whenever." Kenshin's voice pulled Unagi from his own little world. The captain straightened up (or at least slouched a little less) and returned the invitation. "You know that I will, Ken-kun. The same goes for you. Your lieutenant certainly takes advantage of your open invitation often enough."

Unagi turned to leave so that he could return to his bankai, and his men, patrolling the skies, when something caught his eye. A hell butterfly approached, and fluttered right passed him, heading for Kenshin. Out of curiosity, Unagi held his ground for the moment, just in case the message was something of interest.

Mirja smirked awkwardly at Kenshin's comment about the training being all to easy. Which, made her scratch her head a bit, and smiled.
"Well, kind of. I got bored half way though the practice swings and started an improvised sparring session with everyone. So the rest of the training was left for a while because of broken bones and unconsciousness. Sorry" she said, shrugging and commenting 'Livet er kjedelig' whatever that meant. "But, 100km run would be boring. Try more, 10km run wearing heavy stuff. Stretching out a run for the sake of distance is pooy" she counciled, before nodding and turning to go with her Captain, but stopping as a Hell Butterfly appeared. At first it flew to Kenshin, but then landed on Mirja, and relayed a message to replace Captain Mao, for something....

"Looks like I got something to do after all, Ken-chan. Sorry. It might even be related to the whole Hollow Increasing thing. Make your better training, and I'll try not to get bored next time we do it. Bye-bye, Ken-chan, Bye-bye, Ship-Guy~" She cooed, waving cutely, and Flash Stepping off to the were the Hell Butterfly came from. She couldn't sense the Reiatsu of anyone, really, but could follow the Hell Butterfly as it returned to the sender.

"Ahahahah!" A puff of pure white hair garnished with icy-blue tips dashed through a hallway of the Squad Eleven barracks, immediately after exiting the cafeteria. In the hand of this ball of fluff, she held a very neatly made, and rather larger than usual, rice ball. She held the ball by a strip of nori wrapped under the bottom and halfway up both sides of the snack.

"Where the Fuck Are You Goin'!! GET BACK 'ERE!" The puffball continued to run rebelliously, she didn't have to listen the roly-poley piece of lard trying to run after her. She was much too fast for them, a fellow Squad Eleven member to whom she found astronomically fun to piss off. "Fuck Off! This is mine now!!" She ran towards the Squad Eleven courtyard before skidding to a halt and swinging her body around to face the member. A large, Cheshire smile stitched across her cheeks as she view the incoming force. "You want this back huh? Come and get it then tubby" The guy was just about to stop himself as the puffball stuffed the entire ball of rice right into her petite gob. The onigiri was much to big to fit, resulting in a quarter of the food spread along the sides of her mouth and sprinkling onto her baggy uniform before rolling to the floor. That clear waste of perfectly good food made the other member visibly furious! His cheeks instantly sporting a bright red as his eyes contorted into a menacing glare of hatred. The puffball laughed, her mouth wide and still full of rice. Swallowing the remains, she wiped her mouth with her sleeve, still grinning at the, aforementioned, tubby. "Would you look at that, I've fucking gone and eaten it! And it tasted of shit! You eat alot of shit, don't you tubby?! HAHA!" Of course it didn't actually taste of shit, it was surprisingly one of the BEST foods the puffball had ever had the gall to taste... but she wasn't going to praise him; there was a bigger chance of hell freezing over.

Placing one foot forward, the puffball sat into a fighting stance as the member, naturally, launched himself at her, slinging both open palms forward to clutch her neck. This was cockily dodged by the puffball as she ducked before sending her right shoulder along with her head straight into his gut. The wind was forcibly knocked out of the guy, however his body was in the perfect position to trap the woman in a bear hug, which he did. "Ung-Fuck! Getdoffme Asshole!" Her words ran in a sting out of her mouth, however the member just chuckled in a deep tone, strengthening his lock before moving his right hand tightly upwards in order to finally grasp her neck with his huge hand. Moving his left hand to meet the other, he now outright began to strangle the puffball.

The woman bought both of her hands immediately to his, attempting to pry them off as her long-since-disappeared grin was replace with visibly clenched teeth. The member now gained a grin of his own, watching the puffball struggle before him openly satisfied the man’s vision. But, the puffball wasn't going to give up just yet.

CRACK! All of a sudden a knee was brought up and sent to his head, more specifically to his now-broken nose. Flinging his head back, the member fought the urge to take his hand off the woman in order to cover his bloody nose. Pulled his face forward, just before he could make another move, yet another knee was brought to his head, followed by another and an outstretched kick to the left cheek after. She didn't lighten up on her attacks, not once; each strike came with much more force than the last. She knew it was working as the man's hands felt as though they were loosening. "How many times do I need to hit your fucking face before you let go you fat fuck!!" "NEVER!... huuu... THAT WAS MY... FUCKING RICE BALL... YOU LITTLE SHIT!" He spoke between pants, his nose and face feeling as though they were on fire. His own teeth clenched threateningly at the puffball. "You need to learn your fucking place little gir-HMM!" At this point, the puffball slammed both of her feet onto his mouth and stretched back, stamping on his fiery face rapidly until he finally released. She wasn't satisfied with him simply letting go so she brought her body towards him by grabbing the neck of his uniform as he slowly fell before landing a fierce head-butt to his forward, causing him to fall faster to the floor, however this time unconscious.

"Im Rei-fuckmothering-Suishō! Third seat of this Squad. You need to learn your fucking place shitting newbie." Her grin returned at this small, pointless victory as she rubbed her sore neck. Delivering one last kick to the left side of the member's body, the puffball grinned a little wider before turning and walking away, holding her neck gently. A fit of coughing came all too soon, causing her neck to ache in painfully. "Ou-ch!" She yelled between violent coughs that shook her body as she walked, hoping they'd calm. "Nng.. heh heh" Despite the pain she felt, the puffball seemed ecstatic. She often pissed people off here just to start little fights with others, but no matter whether she won or lost a lot, it'd always be her favorite pass-time. Besides, what's the best way to teach lower members to defend themselves? Through making them defend themselves of course! Not through pure pissy pretend spar shit. Although Rei knew it was still important, she believed a mixture of methods was better than sticking to just one. With that said, she didn't do this out of helping others, she did it out of her own pure enjoyment and to test herself against many other personalities and opponents while using the minimum amount of power possible, mostly less power than her opponent! This was how she got her thrills. She used 'helping others' as an excuse when outsiders criticised her methods. She wasn't a complete dunce! She could twist how most situations seemed to manipulate the viewpoints of others, mainly again out of enjoyment and messing about.

Just as he was about to return to his barracks with his constantly-stepping-out-of-line lieutenant, two hell butterflies appeared. One headed for Mirja and one headed for himself. Firstly, the one headed for Mirja had traces of the head captain's reiatsu on it. As such, Kenshin assumed it was something important. The one headed for him, however, had a reiatsu trace on it that is only familiar to him...

Once both of the messages played out, Mirja said she would be going on the mission the head captain had laid out earlier. "Thats fine. Be safe, and I will be reviewing your work on this mission upon your return. You know, your annual performance review is due...So, be safe, do well, and most importantly have fun." He said to his lieutenant with a grin. "And you will do well to address the people on the mission with their proper titles, you hear me!" He called out as his lieutenant left...

Once Mirja is a ways out, he quickly approached the other captain. "Eel-san, I have a favor to ask you. I have an important mission that isn't exactly Gotei 13 sanctioned. You are one of the few people that are around that I can confide in. Will you lend me your hand for this? I'll explain the details later if you are willing to come with me." He asked sincerely. He knew the dangers of this mission. The head captain will hear about this, and possibly the Central 46 as well. However, it needs to be done. A full scale invasion cannot happen.

"There is also one more person I will be taking along with us. She...may be a burden since she is just a 3rd seat, but I think she is ready for a promotion. This will be her test. A cruel and deadly one, but a test nonetheless. One of the favors I'm asking you if you come with us is to keep an eye on her, keep her safe if I'm too occupied..." He said. At the end of his words, he quickly sent out a hell butterfly to his third seat that sounded like "Rei, come find me, now. We have a mission that is quite dangerous, I'll explain later. No more beating up other squad members when I'm not around either..."

If the other captain was listening to the message he received at all, he would hear the worlds "Travel, bringing hell, King" among other words.

The Fourth Captain stood in silence as he watched the small group converse absentmindedly. Feeling the time to return to his barracks grow near, he was around mid-turn when a stern but soft voice spoke from behind the towering Squad Eleven Lieutenant. His ears twitched at the sound as he slowly retracted his advancement and waited to see if any of the group was going to help this Shinigami. They seemed to be rather busy within their own affairs so the Captain took it upon himself to offer a hand. Casually walking over to the Shinigami, Youta began to speak, hoping to grab her attention as the group beforehand began to disperse.

"Hello miss, I believe the Squad Two Captain and his Lieutenant should have returned to their respecting barracks by now. You should be able to find them there, I wouldn't mind guiding you if you'd like?" Youta spoke in a charmingly calm voice with a widened smile which would ignite a spark of kindness into hearts made of cold stone. He crossed his right hand over her body and offered a bow. "Silly me, where are my manners? My name is Youta Hantaisoku, you may call me by whichever name you'd like. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am the current Squad Four Captain so feel assured that if you need any help with anything, I will be more than happy to lend you my services. I don't believe I've seen you around, my apologies for asking but may I please have your name? I assume you belong to Squadron Two, correct?" Youta's kindness rimmed his words as he treated the lone Shinigami with the same amount of respect as he would any other Captain. 'Interesting attire. I wonder if there is any meaning behind wearing her uniform in that fashion'

Xie

As people began to disperse once more to their respective sectors Xie remained in silence her own existence acting as backdrop in Soul Society. A rather hollow adventure, and to think none of those holed beasts had even dropped in on her all of today. A cursory glance was made as she heard others about but none that seemed interested in her. That was till she suddenly rotated on her heels toward the sound of approaching footsteps. Her head now faced to have her left ear pointed in the direction as if they were her eyes instead of the black wrapping that went around her head, “Hello?”

As he greeted her and introduced himself she nodded, the name was familiar and his ranking even more so as she had heard of many of the captains. Her own placement a rather sporadic one in recent years as she still hardly spoke with the majority of them. “Much appreciative, I will probably head back upon my way then.” The woman said rather softly not intending to seem to brash. As the offer of assistance now linger she stopped her hand never leaving the wall as she then stuck out an arm in his direction. “If you are going to lead the way I might as well have you guiding me since it is quite bothersome when people have left random obstacles on the streets and rooves. Quite inconsiderate for those of us who are unable to see would you agree?” She spoke up hoping he would now understand her predicament a bit better. “I’m Xie, honored to meet you Captain Youta.”

Youta listened to his new acquaintance Xie intently, looking at the elegantly simple black band that concealed her eyes. He was surprised to hear that this woman was blind, however that would explain the covering and the hand placed on the wall, along with other quirks he noticed. This lead him to wonder how she preformed in Squad Two with her disadvantage, unable to help admiring her willpower to continue and grow stronger. She definitely peaked his interest. Although he had been a Captain for quite some time, he had only met a handful of people who powered through such a disability. He didn't see it as anything to pity like most others would, he saw it as a sign of exponential strength on a whole different level to the majority of the Seireitei. Grasping her hand carefully, treating the body part with the same care you would for a very delicate, precious glass sculpture, he began to gently pull her towards him in order to guide her away from the wall and down the path to the Squad Two barracks. "I wholeheartedly agree. It is much too dangerous to leave objects scattered along the pathways... I just hope the culprits would one day understand just how big of an issue it can become. Especially for Shinigami such as yourself" Even though he was aware of Xie's inability to see, Youta still continued to smile as he spoke to her, just as he would for anyone else. Some say that you can hear when someone is smiling through the way the words sound and the tones used, whether that was true or not, who knows.

"It is lovely to meet you Xie. You have a rather rare name, I can't say that I've heard anything like it throughout my years as a Captain. It's really nice, I like it" Youta's eyes smiled along with his mouth as he continued to carefully guide Xie. "Have you been a Shinigami for a while? Or have you just graduated from the academy? I find it interesting that you chose Squad Two, you must be rather proficient in Hakudo. I hope one day you can show me some techniques" Youta may of been asking too many questions but he truly was interested in finding out more about this Shinigami.

Unagi's brow furrowed as he listened to Kenshin's request for help. Once the other captain had finished, Unagi sighed. "I'm disappointed, my old friend. How could you think that I would even have to entertain the idea? Of course I shall accompany you!" He shouted the final sentence, pulling the cutlass from his side and swinging it up into the air as dramatically as possible. "The Sword and Shield of the Gotei shall have a grand adventure! It is my duty to ensure that all of the citizens of Seireitei are protected and safe, so if you shall place your third seat in my care then know that she shall receive only the greatest security imaginable!"

As he made his speech, increasing in volume with every syllable uttered, the captain of the 9th found himself slowly, bit by bit losing control of his massive reiatsu. Small waves of ocean-green energy began to leak out, rippling through the air like water. Then long tendrils began to form just as Unagi realized what he was doing, and reeled himself back in. Any shinigami around with power any less than a lieutenant would have been forced to their knees, or even blown away, by the tremendous pressure of Unagi's power.

"Attention first mate," he spoke into a hell butterfly, intending to send it off to lieutenant Kimashi. "All hands are to resume regular patrol patterns on shore. I have business to attend that may take me out of range to support Boken no Tensen and would rather not have my bankai vanish beneath your feet. The captain has spoken!"

With that the butterfly was off to deliver its message, while Unagi looked upon Kenshin expectantly.

Nero Kimashi
Squad 9 Lieutenant

  • Location:
    Boken no Tensen
With Sqaud 9 and 11 Captains
  • Interaction:
    Crew members, @ProPro, @KillBox

The clouds that had gathered since dawn, dark and unyielding, smothered the winter sun. The wind that had pushed against the ship, not playfully but with gathering strength, saw no reason to dwindle. The air became thick with salt, carried by a gale that could only sing a single note. It was a sea storm promising nothing but hardship and tale of recovery for anyone that made it out with their skin. The young boy was fascinated, despite the fact that death stared him in the eyes. His father was below deck, to busy protecting his glass creations to watch his only child.

The wind arose to push the still waters to choppy, which morphed into mountains of angry waves. The four veteran sailors on board struggled to get the sails down, and to tie them off. They slipped on the rain soaked deck. When the others heard and saw how frightened the sailors were, they panicked. The wind slammed the rain into their faces like tiny stones and pushed their hoods back. The ship pressed, first up waves at forty-five degrees, and then crashed down jarring their bones. At one point the waves spun the vessel sideways. They held tightly onto the mast, onto ropes, onto anything, but the young boy was sent careening off the side, entering the dark embrace of the raging waters.

Nero's eyes snapped open, his heart beating so fast that he could feel it in his throat. Another damn dream, one that he wasn't sure belonged to him at all. Around him, the hustle and bustle of the Shinigami crew members upon Boken no Tensen went on as normal. Nero found himself in the center of the ships deck, his usual spot to curl up and sleep in the sun as if he was a cat, or lizard.

"Stop lazing about in the sun, or that coffee bean-brown skin of yours is gonna become a darker shade of black coffee." drawled a female Shinigami who stood over him. Nero made no effort to reassure her that he had heard, and she simply left, head shaking in apparent disappoint.

Nero was usually much more upbeat, but the dream seemed to drain him. With no one to confide to, he kept it to himself, hiding it under a mask of jokes and sarcasm.

It had been a few hours since Unagi had summoned his Bankai and left for the Captains Meeting. Despite his curiosity, Nero swore to keep himself from asking questions about it, or even seeking out his Captain to find out.

As if on que though, a Hell Butterfly lazily fluttered by, landing on his nose before and displaying a message from the Captain. Nero frowned, what was the meeting about that had "his‘’ Captain of all people leaving. It made no sense, they were the 9th Division, they were the last line of defense, it had to have been something important.

"Oi! Round up, were disembarking! Nero called out in a booming voice. Within seconds the crew was at it, working to lower the ship to ground level above thier barracks. Nero didn't wait, and without much of a word, Nero jumped of the edge, his mind flashing back to the dream for a second before Flash-Stepping from building top to building top before finding his Captain and Squad 11's Captain, Kenshin, and landing in front of them.

"Captains." Nero said simply, bowing slightly out of respect before turning to his own. "Oi, Captain Unagi, leaving? For what reason? Nero said indignantly at his Captain, hands in his pocket.

Unagi had been walking with Kenshin toward their destination when he sensed a presence approaching. At first the captain of the 9th thought he was surely mistaken, but then realized that he wasn't. His lazy lieutenant really was moving toward them that fast. Who'd have thunk it?

"At ease, first mate," he said, softly yet with strong tone. "I have to say, I didn't know you could even move that fast. I had every impression that you would have taken this opportunity to find a tree to sleep beneath. You know hte old saying, while the cat's are away and whatnot." Of course Unagi exaggerated. Lieutenant Nero Kimashi may be a layabout, but only because he had earned that right through hard work. If Unagi gave the order, Nero would stay up all night vigilantly on guard for the sake of Soul Society.

"I suppose it is fortuitous you sought me out. At least I know I can dismiss Boken no Tensen without leading my mates to fall to their deaths." The nautical captain twirled the cutlass in his hand, then sheathed it. In that instant the sword morphed into a regular katana, albeit with a unique handguard, while his red coat vanished to make room for the return of his white captain's haori. He found his bare feet hugging the stone below, but found no discomfort in it. Meanwhile, back at the 9th barracks, any keeping an eye on the magnificent skyship moored on the pier would witness it vanish before their very eyes.

Unagi continued to address his lieutenant. "I suppose I should fill you in on what the meeting was about. The commander reported to us what many already knew: that hollow attacks are on the rise. They've yet to strike out against the Gotei specifically, but I find that we need to keep a constant vigil. A few captains and lieutenants were chosen for a special mission led by the commander. Ah, but that has absolutely nothing to do with my current leave." Unagi scratched the back of his head a bit sheepishly, before launching into his usual bombastic and excited nature. "Captain Kuroda Kenshin, Kenpachi of the current generation, has requested my presence for a personal matter! We shall sail into adventure and excitement, and I eagerly await the trials and tribulations that face us! Exploration! Mystery! Danger! These are the defining traits of the lives led by the Sword and Shield of the Gotei 13! And you, my faithful partner, shall be acting captain in my absence, though I don't imagine we'll be gone long."

The sudden wave of energy came crashing down, just like the Tsunami he was named for. Just as quickly as it came, the excitement died down. Unagi gave Nero a small wink, then turned back to Kenshin. "We should pick up your third seat and be off then, I imagine?"

Upon hearing a voice which she had grown familiar to, The captain of the third squad turned around nonchalantly as she glanced up to expect a very tall person speak to before her. Her eyes shifted much to high up from Shota's actual height, before averting down to the proper height from which her short lieutenant stood. While he may be taller than her by an inch to be exact, the small yet striking height difference only defined both of their shortness within the seireitei even more. The woman blinked, before giving her answer to his first comment. "Of course." A scoff was heard as those two small words seemed to make an effort to end the conversation with this 'child' as quickly as possible. He was a lieutenant of the gotei 13, indeed he was and to be exact he was her lieutenant of squad 3; The youngest prodigy to be recorded within the seireitei. He was a brave one with a feisty temper, and a warrior to others. However, deep down inside Kuromi couldn't help but look at this 'prodigy' as nothing more than a child. He was a child, and she always tried to keep in mind that he was also a warrior; and a lieutenant for a reason.

The young lieutenant showed no hesitation as Kuromi would soon find herself being pestered by a small and barking dog."Did he say much? The Captain commander I mean. Do you have a mission?" She stared as Shota also didn't hesitate to stand inches away from her personal space, even her face as he was nearing the end of his inquiring behavior and only smirked in response as he waited for a more proper and detailed response. "Even when you're keen and serious, you're still essentially a child in spirit, Aren't you?" she chuckled, ruffling her hands through his golden locks of hair while also pushing him back a few inches. Probably one of the few instances she expressed a sweet-tempered feeling towards Shota, which was a rare occurrence as she was sure to never completely express her fondness of him. "I'm afraid the captain doesn't have any sort of task in mind for most of the squads." She responded, another sort of 'flat' answer as she told some of the truth before indirectly hinting it.

"But.." She paused as a sigh escaped her lips. Her hand which had tousled the prodigy's hair slowly slipped through one last time as she brought it to an end and looked away. "I am curious of the others." admitted the blonde, referring to the three squads who had been dismissed to a private room with the head captain. What could it possibly be? She felt a sort of 'bad feeling' befall her very slightly as she fell silent once more and proceeded to momentarily space out before snapping out of it and shaking her head. "I'm very curious.." She uttered almost in a whisper, concluding how she felt currently. And often times, her curiosity was something not to be tampered with as it was always mixed with a sort of mischief to obtain whatever it was she desired to know.

"AHHH! Now THAT'S Better! Am I Right?!"

The slams of thick glass banged throughout the room as a gathering of barley roars overthrew all other sounds. In unison all roars agreed, following with hearty laughter and loud gulps. Rei wiped her lips with her left sleeve before revealing a toothy grin. Guess where she was? The pub of course! Where else could rowdy, aggressive, demanding, forceful people go to relax? She had tagged along with a group of Squad Eleven members as they arranged a little impromptu "Squad meeting". Originally the reason Rei took the invite, or more invited herself, was because she felt that a drink might help sooth her mildly aching throat. Oh boy was she glad she came, the pranks and jokes amongst the members and members of other squads made it worth while. Laughing brashly herself, Rei almost didn't notice the hell butterfly that fluttered into the building and landed on her shoulder. Luckily the fluff-ball didn't drink too much; she was only halfway into her second drink at this point. Looking to the butterfly, she began hearing her Captain's voice before immediately bouncing off of her seat and running outside to escape the noisy atmosphere.

"Dangerous? With Kenpachi? Fuck Yeah!" Rei grinned widely at this news, but the added section that followed caused her grin to instantly morph into a pout. 'Mirja does it though... Favoritism is a bitch, I swear' She thought to herself. Shaking her head, Rei shook her pout back into a grin as she launched into take off towards her Captain's spiritual energy. 'I wonder how dangerous it'll get. Captain doesn't use that word lightly, this is going to be fucking fun'

Due to how potent her Captain's spiritual pressure was, it didn't take too long for Rei to reach him, just about catching Captain Unagi's last words. "No need, the third seat has arrived. Captain let's not waste any time, I'm anxious to get into the nitty-gritty stuff" Rei's grin hadn't faltered the entire time she spent looking for her Captain, thus she was now flashing it to said Captain in acceptance of his order. Bringing her left fist into her right palm, she cracked her eager knuckles. Spotting the Squad Nine Lieutenant bowing, Rei scoffed amusingly. Bowing, who the fuck does that anymore? Well, submissive people of course. Rei was much too assertive for that crap, thus she would often get in trouble for not doing it and rarely she would comply.

Nero Kimashi 9th Squad Lieutenant

I probably should be sleeping under a tree right now. Was all that was going through Nero's head, unfortunately, the fear of dreaming again kept him on his toes.

With a sigh, Nero shook his head exasperatedly, it was just like his Captain to his leave duties as the guardian of the Soul Society to leave for some "adventure". Nero could never understand his Captains lack and organization and priority when it came to things like this, but he had to no right to argue. Unagi was so enthusiastic about things, so much so that he released his Reiatsu in a crushing wave that weighed upon his shoulders before drawing it back in to wink at Nero. The only good thing about this was that as acting Captain, he could enjoy all the amber fluid that he could get his hands on without getting in getting in to much trouble. Although it would give the 9th Squad a back name if people to see Shinigami patrolling around with bottles of alcohol in thier hands.

"Okay, okay, leave me with your job while you adventure with the Kenpachi and his 3rd seat, but if you find all your liquor gone in the barracks gone, it sure as hell was me." He grumbled with a shrug, he would do his job no doubt, but at least enjoy it while he did it.

This would had been the perfect moment for the Captain to say goodbye to his Lieutenant in order to find the 3rd Seat, but no, the 3rd seat found them. Without much of a warning, her shrill voice, which Nero found to be annoying, and her white hair to be an eyesore, went yelling into the wind. Venting her excitement through her body language and unnecessarily loud voice. Nero sighed, nothing about this girl appealed to him, how could the Kenpachi of all people handle her loud mouthed abrasiveness.

"Hey shit-head, good luck, your gonna need it." Nero said simply, retuning her amused grin with a crooked one of his own. He was only goading her on, but contempt dripped from his voice, although he had no hatred for her whatsoever.
