Good question. From my perspective, Cinead Will most likely be claiming Anna as his mate as soon as mutual attraction is established. Once he realizes that there emotions are in-tune with one another, he will want her to be his. He doesn't really understand the concept of dating and getting to know one another better. Yes, he will still love her, but that feeling will grow more over time. Dragons are definitely more instinctual. Ha ha!

I will be getting to a reply tomorrow. Today has been really weird. Lots of extra dizziness and strange sleeping schedules.

Okay, I've been thinking and debating a lot about different situations and I think I finally settled on how Cinead might claim Anna. Let me know your thoughts.

When we finally get to the party, have them go off on their own and Cinead has to save Anna from the creature that attacks, i'll have him change back into his human shape before the kiss happens. When that does, he'll be surprised that she can still find him attractive even though she found out that he isn't human. He'll be so overcome and feel a rush of affection and a desire to keep her to himself that his magic will react, Forming a bond between them. I was thinking of maybe having some sort of marking appear on Anna, perhaps a flame of some sort. .. There are a few other details that I've considered, but I was wondering what you thought of just this starting point.

We also need to figure out what is gonna threaten them enough. Maybe a small pack of wolves?

Actually, I was thinking of having some sort of less intelligent creature of fantasy attacking them. Some sort of species that were slowly dying out with the progression of humans and their technology. I haven't decided on a name, but I was imagining something that looked like a cross between a bear and a boar... If you want to go with a more realistic approach, we could always have a bear attack them or your suggestion with a pack of wolves..

Of course I can share more details! But it would definitely need to come with feedback. I had pictured some sort of limited mental connection occurring between them, the ability to choose whether or not to share thoughts with one another or maybe having a sense of the other's emotions. I like the latter compared to the first, it doesn't seem as overpowered. They might also be able to know where the other is at any given time. Umm... That's all I can remember contemplating yesterday. If anything comes up, I'll definitely throw it at you.

Hmmmm, it could be something like a fire hog that usually is able to hide itself but let's pretend the party really pissed it off to the point of breathing actual fire? Just spitballing.

Sensing each other's emotions does indeed sound better though. Besides it could lead to cute moments. For example: Cin could sense Anna wanting something and it turns out to be that she wants to cuddle with him in dragon form or something. This leads to a semi-childish disagreement about if they should or not. The location thing would be pretty good too.
