@Rawk I don't know exactly what Acer had in mind for the mines exact location but I assumed that it was at least somewhat away from the town. I only say this because I don't think the town would really converge on the mine unless it was active and there were people working in it. I was born in a place that had a few mines around. They were all shut down long before I was born but they all located outside of actual residential areas.

I know this probably doesn't matter at all but I just thought I'd throw it out there and pretend like I have the slightest idea what I'm talking about.
