By channeling his magical power through his body, Erik is able to increase his strength and speed by huge amounts. This magic also provides him with excellent defense by enhancing his durability and at high levels he is able to form an aura that acts as a solid barrier t many types of attacks, he can also enhance his senses. Power Magic can channel magical energy into objects such as weapons to boost their power and lethality. The final capability of this kind of magic is to shoot blasts of pure magical energy, but this power does come with its drawbacks. It can tax the body if used too recklessly and Erik’s pool of magical of energy is not infinite and will run out, which is why he must train his body and magical control to increase the well of power he has.
Techniques:
Mega Punch: Erik charges up magic in his fist and lands a powerful punch that can bust through rocks.

Hyper Kick: It is basically the kick version of the Mega Punch.

Mighty Ram: He rams his opponent with his body and with his magic this body slam can be incredibly powerful.

Power Ball: Erik fires off a ball of pure magical energy that explodes upon contact. This attack while potent will eat up a lot of magical energy and therefor make him weaker if used too carelessly.

Hyper Senses: By channeling his magical power, Erik is able to increase to his senses to incredible levels and grants him amazing perceptive skills and allows him to see near perfectly in the dark.

Hyper Jump: By using his magical power while jumping, Erik can appear as he is flying via the use of his hyper jump. This ability allows him to span great distances with little effort.

Skills: Erik is an excellent martial artists and tracker. He is a great hunter thanks to his life growing up among his tribe who are hunters as well as warriors. While he may not be very book smart, he is very street smart and perceptive.

Personality: Erik is a very determined person and will not give up when he sets his mind to a task. His tenacious attitude and more simplistic method of handling things makes him a very in them moment type of guy and combined with his type of magical power he sees no reason to overthink things. Growing up in a more tribal lifestyle meant that Erik never spent much time on studying scrolls or books on the mystic arts, no his people were believers in the use of wisdom and bodily refinement to unlock their magical potential. Erik is very loyal and has a good heart, but he can have a temper and if someone messes with his friends and family then he will go into a rage.
History: Born to a tribe of Badger-Folk, Erik from an early age showed magical potential and the tribe’s shaman told of him going a journey outside of their lands that was part of his destiny. At first Erik didn’t understand the words of the holy man, but he knew that it was best to heed them and so he started his training in honing his magical abilities. Magic among his tribe is a rarity and this set Erik apart from the rest of his tribe.

Despite their differences, Erik had no animosity to his tribe and while he was excited to go on his journey, Erik would miss his tribe. When he was fourteen, his father and the tribe shaman sent him off on his journey and with his power magic, Erik felt ready to tackle the world that he set out into.

History: Dewfoot Valley is a minor isolated democracy country created by older hobbit races societies 200 years ago to gather small races (and some chosen humans) in one isolated place supported by natural barriers which make potential conquest coming from aggresors far harder then it should be in normal case.

Most ancestors of current residents come from main 6 fractions: LightFoot Halfings which traveled to the place and decided to stop their nomadic lifestyle and build homes in Dewfoot Valley, Svirneblin which decided to mix living underground and on surface to avoid as much as possible drow and underground orc societies while trying to keep their culture intact and learn surface cultures at the same time, Rock Gnomes which tried to find some sort of peaceful land in which they could cultivate their carefree lifestyle without being harrassed by other races which accuse them or their childish behavior and unpredictible movements and actions, Yordles which decided to take up residance with some similar reasons to Rock Gnomes but forced isolation from many slavers made them far more aggresive and unpredictible which made them 'poor quality' slaves as they rely on constant positive contact with other Hobbit races to keep their sanity intact, Deep Halfings which were invited by other Small Races to work for them as their main blacksmiths and Tallfellow Halfings to work in all kinds of jobs which are connected to forest environments. All other hobbit races also exist here, but they are a minority (but their opinions are still respected).

Dewfoot Valley inhabitants live mostly in small villages up to 1000 residents and gather together in 5 biggest of them once per three months to gather opinions and vote on every single important matter before possibly implementing them (but 'Big Five' gathering only apply to national laws which affect all races and aren't local) with 3-2 or 4-1 majority voting neccesary to apply them (abstaining is possible, in this case they aren't applied). All local-only laws are voted in direct democracy gatherings every single time when new law is presented as long as at least 100 residents gather in place for voting (otherwise voting is postponed on later date). Village leaders and his assistants are voted once per 3 years. Dewfoot Valley prefer to keep their relationships with his neighbours limited to just trading goods in few extremely well protected trading routes (which limits potential aggresive invasion to minimum) and they are the only ways to gain access to their country. Residents of Dewfoot Valley keep professional army under their wings (number is small, but they are extremely well trained), although once in a while conscription is organized (once per year for all adults) to keep people in fighting shape. Local environment mostly consist of farmlands and meadows (35%), Forests (25%), Lakes and Rivers (10%), Swamps (10%), Mountains (10%) and Desert (10%).

Mistress Hudson is a person which prefer to wear truly simple and yet somewhat stylish and practical clothing. Most of time she carries simple red long sleeved jacket which cover her whole body except and red cone standard mage hat. The only jewelry she carries on herself are two simple gold earrings and the only make-up she carries is delicate eyeliner and light red lipstick. Her figure is truly slim, which proves that even in her older age she's in top form (health lifestyle do wonders :D).

Magic: Cantripologist

In other words Cantripologist mages are type of casters which mostly specialize in using extremely low level spells and they mostly work in support and distraction roles. Most offensive spells are mostly aimed towards knocking or distracting targets instead of hurting them. Many cantripologist mages are mostly users which want to be true masters of basics, truly understand most basic and primitive magic or are self-proclaimed pacifists or are just good natured people. They are also living proofs that even most simple spells may easily turn the side in the battles of mages.

Techniques: Spells casted by cantrilopogists are called cantrips (in D&D terms they are level-0 spells from all classes, the number is up for discussion) and they memorize them instead of learning or casting them straight up from the book like wizards.

Skills: Miss Hudson is extremely skilled housewive, capable of all kinds of house based works. Also as a traveler she knows how to camp in all kinds of environment and know most possible survival tricks. She's also shockingly skilled in self-defense hand-to-hand moves, which no one expects analyzing her appeareance. She resorts to violence only in most dangerous situations.

Equipment: Only simple house cleaning supplies, standard camping set and several books to read as entertainment (mostly for children, she adores them).

Weakness: Good looking men. Taking into account era and her age, it's considered kind of improper, but she can't help it ! She never married, but also had few strong romances on her road of life. Although she hides it really, really well unless someone manage to figure this one out (and may use it against her).

Personality: Miss Hudson is extremely kind, understanding and affectionate person. Some people may consider her slightly naive (but she isn't) because of her philosophy to always try to find positive traits in all people she meets and always give them a chance. As most cantripologists, she despise conflict (but will fight if needed and ESPECIALLY if someone hurts children, this is something she WON'T forgive) and pacifism is her favorite life philosophy. She pretty much never raise her smooth and gentle voice. Her movement is graceful and full of confidence, which for more observant opponents may betray her experience.

History:

Miss Hudson since she remembers she loved every single second of her childhood. Her parents tired of being forced into things which they disliked they managed to escape (unfortunately ilnesses collected from slavery finished them off in the long run) from slavery once one of DewFoot Valley neighbours dealt with massive slave uprising. Most of them died, but some of them managed to escape including her family. Since that day she noticed how cruel and unforgiving the world may be for people, which had to deal with opressors controlling their lifes. After that she declared her life towards helping others, which couldn't defend themselves and were too weak for self-defense. Thankfully after her parents death kind family of Rock Gnomes decided to adopt her and show her the way of magic. It truly fascinated her how such force could exist and how unlimited it truly is. But her foster parents showed her the way of cantripologist - the most effective spells aren't those with massive power, but weaker once used in smart way. Basics, basics and again basics, it was all about them. And she understood and loved that philosophy all her life. In teenager years she became the head of her village orphanage and decided to travel around the world helping and adopting (or finding parents) for all orphaned kids, while also act as support mage for some chosen adventurer groups to collect funds as well. She continued that lifestyle for several years while she decided to retire at the age of 54. She never married, but she enjoyed some romances and she kind of needed to admit that she enjoyed that closure (also physical) although to keep her almost saint image (most people that know of Miss Hudson adore her) she keeps this part quiet. Unfortunately after retirement new dangers started to show around DewFoot Valley and some nasty opponents slowly start to work around the magic rune barriers, which may ruin the peace of DewFoot Valley. Her main concern right now is to find allies and fight those people off.

Lord of the Flock: This magic allows Greg to command other birds to listen to him. He is a very charismatic pigeon and as such he can command other birds to do his bidding, though his magic helps a bit in this area.

Feather Magic: This magic allows Greg to use his own feathers and the feathers of others to attack often making the feathers sharp enough to cut fabric. However these feathers can’t cut through steel or anything stronger than thin leather.

Physic connection: Gregory can speak to other races through the use of relaying messages directly into the mind of others, this allows him to communicate though it only has so much range.

Techniques: Greg often utilizes a tactic of constantly having other birds near him. Many of them will listen and come to his aid at his very call. These other birds are almost mind controlled and as such will sacrifice their own lives in order to protect Gregory. Gregory will also sometimes use the feathers of his fellow birds in order to create a sort of storm to allow him to escape from the carnage.

Skills: Greg does not have much in the way of attacking without magic. The only skill’s he does claim to have however unusually accurate aim when it comes to where he is pooping. He can also spot bread crumbs from about 100 feet away.

Equipment: Greg has nothing on him except for his army of other birds of all kinds, this goes from vultures, to hawks, even to chickens and flightless birds when they are near him.

Personality: Gregory is a very egotistical bird. He will do whatever he can to raise his own ego and even prove to others how superior he is to them. Sadly this also makes him a very sore loser when it comes to battles and the such. Often this goes to the point where he will leave behind ‘presents’ for the other party to find. Quite often this means spoiling their food whenever he gets the chance.
Gregory is also quite the womanizer, often quite liking women that are shorter and sometimes (though rarely) going after short men as well.

History: Gregory was born a bit unusual among his kind. There has always been legends of monsters and animals that have the ability to use magic, but they were just that legends. That was until Gregory Philmus was born. At first many other birds feared him for his strange abilities, however he has learned that he is extremely charismatic when it comes to asking other birds to listen to him. As such Gregory has slowly been gaining a reputation.

After about the first year of discovering his abilities he quickly learned that others would try to hunt him down. As such he started to amass an army of other birds to help protect him. Though he has started learn more about magic as well, as such he soon realized that there was a way to make other birds just like him. He has started to learn more about magic in hopes of giving other birds powers like him so he won’t be the only one of his kind.

Other: Gregory has a weakness for pumpkin seeds and pretty female birds. He is also far more intelligent than the average bird.

Glyph magic utilizes a variation of symbols in combination with the casters intents to create effects, and is limited by the sacrifice the caster is willing to give, and what the caster can. There are thousands of ‘Bases’ for a spell, but each Base has only three degrees, which determine the focus, effect, and cost of the spell. Complex spells can be created by using multiple bases, but these tend to be more intricate than powerful, as a cost for each base must be applied. The second degree does not have to match the first degree of a spell; a mismatched second degree will cause half of the cost to come from the origin of the second degree. Otherwise the third degree always matches the first degree of the spell. The greatest danger in using Glyphs is self-control, as a spell cannot be withdrawn once cast. The caster does not always have to pay the price, and as many can pay as are in physical contact with the glyph itself, and are willing participants in the spell. As such, some cities are built around the concept, utilizing their rulers as the caster and the citizens as participants for legendary feats in protective measures. However, many practitioners have suffered for paying costs beyond themselves for the deed. The lucky ones died quickly.

Type

First Degree: The focused element of a spell, determining the major element and outlining the ‘goal’ of a spell.
Second Degree: This is the ‘nature’ of a spell, determining the active component of the spell.
Third Degree: This is the sacrifice the mage gives in exchange for the spell, and is synonymous with the first degree. (Sometimes factored by the second as well, however.)

Shape

Within: The mage embraces the magic within himself to bring out physical effects in line with the degrees. The most dangerous but

effective of methods, pulling out the mages full potential in perfect balance for an exchange of a greater cost in the third degree. This also represents the only way another glyph mage may combat another, absorbing the spell within themselves- as well as offering up the third degree of the spell again. Most Glyph casters will avoid this as much as possible though, as the doubling of the cost (from the initial caster, and the cost from the absorbing caster) results in much greater power, which is hard to control and harder to direct- sometimes leading to a loss of sanity.

Without: Out and into the world, where the control of the mage fades over the distance between the glyph and the outer effects of

the spell. This is easier method, but misbalanced, focusing on the second degree of a spell. Larger glyphs have far greater ranges than smaller ones.

Personality:

Conrad is generally a kind man, choosing to use his gift to help others. He is calm and tries to empathize with those around him. He represents that fool you see giving a street urchin an apple, despite the fact that the wretch was just caught trying to rob him a moment ago. He feels a degree of duty towards those that are less fortunate.

History:

Conrad’s mother died in childbirth, and he grew up primarily on his uncle’s farm, with his father stopping by as often as possible to spend time with him. When he was old enough to be taught magic, his father took him on as an apprentice in the craft, though he refused to teach Conrad anything beyond the basics- citing “The more glyphs you know, the less creative and the less familiar with the costs you will be. Learn your limits now, and when you are older you can decide for yourself.”

Though irritated in his teenage years by the philosophy, experience taught him the wisdom of the concept. He stayed with the four basic elements, broadening his understanding and familiarity with them. When the young caster turned twenty, he completed the apprenticeship and headed out on his own, though he and his father keep contact through letters and the occasional visit.

Demonic Magic | Conjuration

House Fletcher have, for generations, summoned demons who provide their children with magical capabilities. The ritual is binding, involving a process wherein the current head of the House would inject the demon inside the body of the child – normally around the age of ten or so – in order to allow the flow of magic to enter the child's system. Control over the demon is then practised by the child under direct supervision from armed guards of House Fletcher. Once it has become certain that the child poses no threat, they are once again allowed freedom to utilize their new-found abilities for the betterment of the House.

The process is extremely dangerous and House Fletcher has suffered casualties many times. A child may not survive the initial phases of the possession or fall prey under the demon's wiles, eventually wreaking havoc in the household. The continued existence of the normally unwilling and vengeful demon also poses a threat and members of House Fletcher undergo a constant struggle of control over the demon.

The demons that have possessed Reagan's body gave them the power of conjuration. Conjuration is the magic of casting spells which would summon either a living or non-living thing to the conjurer's aid. The process of casting a conjuration spell depends on the type of item or creature that the conjurer is attempting to summon and the length of time they wish for it to remain with them. Spells that summon non-living items such as weapons or bound armour are easier to summon and maintain than spells that summon living creatures.

The conjurer is limited in a way that the casting process takes time and certain ingredients are required to summon a variety of items. For example, summoning a simple broadsword requires either a piece of an already crafted sword or one of the items utilized in the creation of the weapon. Summoning creatures requires more ingredients, such as a patch of fur to summon a wolf. Control over summoned creature also depends on the conjurer's abilities and concentration, and the amount of ingredients utilized in the summoning spell.

The most powerful conjuration spells require the use of rare ingredients and a magic circle. There have been reports that these spells can take the caster hours to complete and drains the conjurer's magic so much so that not even small conjuration spells can be attempted in the following days.

Summons

Non-Living Summons

Non-living summons do not require the use of a magic circle, but does require an open space for the summoned item to materialize. A piece of item related to the item the conjurer is attempting to summon must be the core of the spell and is the indicator of where the item will materialize. Non-living summons can last longer than summoned creatures, as they require little maintenance once summoned.

Living Summons

Living summons require the use of a magic circle and an understanding of the creature's basic anatomy. The conjurer must then attempt to recreate this anatomy using simple items relating to the creature within the magic circle. For simpler creatures like golems, recreating the anatomy can be as rudimentary as the conjurer wishes, but for stronger creatures like dragons, it must be as detailed as possible. The summoned creature will maintain its intelligence and instincts, but will be guided by the conjurer like a puppet on strings. Maintaining control can range from easy to almost impossible, depending on the type of creature summoned.

Spell Magnitude

Magnitude I

Most non-living summons comprise the array of spells categorized as Magnitude I. These spells are the most easily cast with little to no effort from an experienced conjurer and materialize almost instantly, depending on the mass. The summoned items are not durable enough to last long-term usage.

Magnitude II

Non-living summons using Magnitude II spells are more powerful and more concrete, allowing the conjurer to use them more efficiently, at the cost of a slightly longer casting time and concentration. The most basic of Living Summons can be attempted with Magnitude II spells, although control over the creatures is easily attained although they dematerialize easily.

Magnitude III

Magnitude III spells require more time and are more taxing on the conjurer. Most of these spells can take minutes for the summon to materialize, although the results can be worth it. Non-living summons using Magnitude III spells are more durable, faster, and deadlier than normally crafted weapons. Living summons last longer and Magnitude III spells aid the conjurer in controlling these creatures.

Magnitude IV

The overall strength, durability, and speed of non-living summons are enhanced. Additionally, Magnitude IV spells allow the conjurer to summon a number of weapons at once at a cost. More advanced living summons are also available to the conjurer and control over the creatures is fleeting. Some Magnitude IV spells can also substitute casting time in exchange for more magic from the conjurer, which can drain them as much as Magnitude V spells.

Magnitude V

Only the most powerful of living summons require Magnitude V spells. These spells take an incredibly long time and require all the strength of thee conjurer. Maintaining control over the summoned creatures is also difficult but most conjurers who attempt to use Magnitude V spells use them as a last resort, wherein they allow the summoned creature to wreak havoc without their control.

Summons

Zaebor

Zaebor is the original demon that House Fletcher summoned. She appears to Reagan as a woman with the wings of a dragon and scales coating her skin. Between the two demons possessing Reagan, Zaebor is the more benevolent one as she has come to care for the young human. She is the one who had given Reagan the power of conjuration, but had wanted to allow her the ability to summon only non-living items as she sees summoning living creatures as a horrible act. She is the more powerful of the two demons inside Reagan, but knows that she cannot maintain this strength for long, which is why she is insistent that Reagan grow stronger so that they could stop Keadal themselves.

Keadal

Keadal is Zaebor's sworn rival and the one that altered the original Fletcher spell to allow him entrance into Reagan's body. He appears to her as a four-eyed wolf with silver white fur. His goals are more malevolent as he had not expected for Reagan to achieve control over the two of them. While he has no concern over the matters of mortals, he does wish for Zaebor's destruction and seeks to take control over Reagan in order to achieve that. Unfortunately for him, Zaebor has retained most of her power while he has not and thus he remains unable to break Reagan's control over him. He remains quiet to plot his next actions, but is most often the cause of Reagan's horrible feelings.

• Reagan has been trained in archery since childhood and they have grown extremely skillful in the craft.
• Reagan is capable of defending themself in melee combat, especially when using a pair of small daggers.
• Through their travels, Reagan has grown knowledgeable about the different countries and cultures in the world.

• Spell Book: Reagan carries around a large, tome-like book that is normally attached to their hip. It contains the different spells they use in conjuration.
• A pack of broken items and scraps of fur: Reagan keeps the items they use for conjuration in a leather pack they sling over their shoulder.
• House Fletcher bow: Reagan carries an exquisitely crafted bow made of rosewood and light steel that bears their family emblem on the grip.

P E R S O N A L I T Y:

Reagan's personality is heavily affected by that of the demons inside them. They maintain a kind demeanor towards most folks they encounter, offering a kind greeting whenever they can, but will keep almost everything to a casual interaction. They will never willingly extend a hand for help without first assuring that they would receive just recompense and even then, still has the tendency to turn against another should the odds shift. They are incredily selfish in this regard, but Reagan is not a person that would take a life simply because they can. Most of all, Reagan is extremely driven by their goal and has the tendency to be easily swayed by anger.

H I S T O R Y:

House Fletcher has ruled over Keinsfeild, a large piece of land in a country to the west, for generations. They are feared by foreign forces because of their capabilities in magic and are respected by their people due to the responsibility with which they ruled over them. Perhaps the only ones who dare rival Keinsfeild rulers is House Flatfoot of Mellowbrooke, a bigger land north of Keinsfeild. House Flatfoot has been the rivals of House Fletcher for decades, each declaring war on the other in simple shows of power. Despite the Fletchers magic, the Flatfoots maintain an equal standing against them due to their superior numbers and military prowess.

House Flatfoot recently uncovered the horrible secret behind House Fletcher's magic - that they allow demons to possess their body in order to gain power - and threatened to reveal this to Keinsfeild's people should the Fletchers refuse to swear fealty to them. Fearing that their people would revolt and hunt them down, the Fletchers openly declare war against Mellowbrooke, hoping to wipe out the Flatfoots before they can even begin to unleash their plot. It's an act that the head of House Flatfoot foresaw and therefore, he sent one of his children to travel to Rothar with the evidence against the Fletchers to wait in safety until the chaos subsides. After finding out about this, the Fletchers retaliated by sending one of their own to hunt down the Flatfoot.

Given this duty, Reagan began to hunt down the Flatfoot across the world. They wanted for nothing more than to keep her from reachinf Rothar as they knew with certainty that the Flatfoot would be able to disappear in the neutral kingdom. For a year and a half, the war in their country waged on while the two heirs continued their chase. Unfortunatelt for Reagan, after an incident at a country filled with savages, they lost sight of the Flatfoot. They were unwilling to let this stump them and they headed to Rothar, determined to find and hunt down the Flatfoot at all cost.

Armoured boots shaped like delicate shoes on her feet. She wears her straight hair loose with a braid that goes around her head like a wreath with silver chains running through it. Oval face with a sharp chin, straight nose, thin lips and pale complexion.
In Vampire Lord form, she looks the same, except with sharpened teeth, lengthened incisors, glowing eyes and deathly white (although not clammy-looking) skin. Large white bat wings grow out of her back and her fingers become claws.

• Umbrakinesis (Dark Arcane magic): Due to the blood flowing through her veins, Azazel has absolute control over shadows. She can also manipulate people by controlling their shadows, shadow travel, blend into the darkness to become invisible as long as she is in dark places and is able to see through shadows.

Techniques:
Night empowerment: Is stronger at night or in dark places
• Mist form: When in Vampire Lord form, she can turn into a cloud of mist to replenish stamina used for 15 seconds at a time. She can only use it in ten minute intervals and is invulnerable in this state. However, she cannot attack when in mist form.
• When in Vampire Lord form, she can drain life through contact - which can replenish her health and stamina but in accordance with the amount she drains from the person/being - , use umbrakinetic powers and summon two gargoyles at a time, but she cannot wield any weapons, leaving only her claws for close combat. The gargooyles can range from 2-3 metres and are basically animated stone stautes, albeit a lot tougher than your average statues. The summons cannot use magic. They can only fly, claw, hit and squash things to death.

Skills: Azazel is skilled with the used of blades, preferably daggers and shortswords that she dual-wields. While longer sword poses no problem to her swordsmanship, she needs two hands to wield it and finds it rather restricting, thus her avoidance of it. She can cook a mean stew with whatever she has on hand even though she doesn't need food to sustain her body. It's a hold-over skill from when she was human.

Equipment: She carries a vampiric short sword (looks like a gladius) that drains the opponent’s blood with every wound created strapped to her side. Curve-bladed elven daggers are strapped to each tigh. These daggers, while possessing no offensive abilities like her short sword, can waithstand more damage and are not eaily blunted or nicked.

Personality: She is apathetic and is usually contend to go with the flow. She has a dark sense of humour and a slightly sadistic attitude. She lives by the rule “Forgive but never forget”. She doesn’t take kindly to those who are slower on the uptake than she is and those who betrayed her. Although she does not hold a grudge, if you crossed her once, it is difficult to get her to trust you or get back in her good graces. However, when she gets attached to someone, she shows a very different front. She is warm, gentle and motherly towards them.

History: Once a member of the mysterious and feared Ranger force that roam the lands hunting dark creatures(blood-frenzied vampires, rogue werewolves, feral ghouls, undead, orcs, murder sorcerers, etc.), Azazel split off from her party to clear the small lair of recently-turned vampires. It wasn’t the first time she hunted groups of dark creatures on her own so she thought she would be able to handle it. However, she miscalculated. With her standard issue crossbow, she killed off four and was hunting down the last when she was pinned to the ground. This vampire was different from the typical ones. He appeared human from head to toe, not even a sharpened incisors could be seen when he smiled. She was bewildered and caught off guard, mind still reeling as she was drained of blood.
By some luck or will of the Gods, she did not die. Instead, the venom of the unique vampire changed her over the course of five long, excruciating days. The memories after were a blur. She didn’t know how long had passed, coming to her senses only to discover herself crouching over a terrified woman. She dashed off instantly, going as far into the wilderness as she could and isolating herself. However, she did not allow herself to starve. Spending years on animal and the occasional bandit blood, she explored the limits of her newfound power.
As soon as she deemed she was strong enough, she left to find her sire, catching him off guard as she snuck into one of his extravagant parties disguised as a blood sacrifice, making sure she would be the first to be chosen and offered to the host during dinner. She set him on fire and stole his short sword, using it to run him through several times as he burned. She revealed her Vampire Lord form, preparing to fight her way through the horde when they fled. Azazel discovered a small chest of her sire’s personal belongings, learning that she was now a creature known as the ‘Vampire Lord’ and the benefits that came with it.
Over the centuries, she came across other dark creatures like herself, clinging on to their humanity and refusing to give in to the dark temptation. She gathered them all, offering the castle she got from her sire as a sanctuary and picked up hunting inhuman creatures once more.

- Ritualistic Magic is a type of magic that's very beneficial, but also very difficult to master. The user sets up an etching into the ground, allowing for a ritual to be done. The variation of the ritual depends on what kind of etching is in the ground, and can range from defenses that can keep the caster in amazing health even when hit with a very powerful object, to summoning several demon swords to fight an opponent with.

Techniques: Old Man Johnson has several techniques, but one sticks out in particular.
- Old Man Johnson has mastered the realms and planes of this known universe, and can use them to an advantage in a fight. Even to the point where he can dodge attacks by simply moving to the left 2 feet, however he would need almost 99% of his attention to dodge it. He nicknamed this technique "Flying Squirrel Jutsu", and has taught this to about 20 other people, including his interplanar dog
Sunshine.

Equipment: The Robe of Destiny (need some form of armor). 2 spiked gauntlets (for unarmed combat). Re'svex, the Sentient Sword (a sword that gives good advice and is generally a bro).

Personality: Old Man Johnson is a military strategist, and a schizophrenic elder. He acts serious a lot of the time, but is a very kind person and more often than not will talk your ears off telling stories of the many different planes he visited. He's a bit insane, but honestly with his past it would be expected.

History:
What a tale he has lived. Baront Johnson was born over 1000 years ago, to a poor family that was shamed by everyone in his community. He loathed them all and got into a lot of fights because of this. At the age of 14 he had received mental trauma so severe that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, which later shaped him into the man he was destined to be. After attending a mage's college a far ways away, he learned of the many planes, and was amazed by it. As he went around the lands, trying to figure out how these things worked, he joined many adventurers on quests, even one time witnessing a lich being born. On one of these quests, a paladin hit him hard with a hammer, and oddly enough, Johnson woke up at a place he called "New Earth", which was basically the same as Earth, but everything was different colored. He started to experiment with New Earth, and he found out it was a plane. For the next 100 years of his life, he explored the many planes of existence, eventually mastering how to travel between them, and make his own. When he came back to the world which he came from, he saw everything was different. 786 years had passed on that realm, and Johnson was reaching his elderly years. They say that traversing the planes had caused Johnson to become immortal, however he has not confirmed this. Johnson, however, does confirm he realized who he really was about 67.5 years into exploring, and thats when the Robe of Destiny, and his sword Re'svex, were granted to him. He thereby called himself Old Man Johnson the Planeswalker, and has dedicated himself to the exploration of these realms for the rest of his days.

Other: Old Man Johnson is not a bulky person, and in terms of physical defense is very weak. He has flashbacks, triggered by certain events, which cause him great deals of trauma.

House of Irulan

The House of Irulan:
A sprawling clan of seers who serve on all levels, from advisors and soothsayers for hire to members of royal courts and trustees of kings. Named for the mountain range that they originally came from, at the base of this mountain range they hold control over a city state that self-sustainable due to their relative isolation from the outside world. They offer valuable training to any budding seer and will teach those out side the family line, provided they show adequate talent. The city state is peaceful and quick to denounce any Irulan family member or student who truly causes conflict.

There are two main branches of the family, the home branch that facilitates training and ruling of the city state. The other branch is largely abroad and makes up most of the family outside of the city state. The name Irulan can be given to students from other origins who request it or is offered to those who have done great service to the family.

Magic: Mental/Emotional Manipulation Magic (Psionics?)

Helena can tap into the natural magical energy of the world around her to exert control over the minds and emotions of others. This control will fade over time and can take different forms in a living being from total puppetry to subliminal suggestion. Both forms of her manipulation can be impeded by mental training an guarding that is available to both mages and the mundane. It is already more difficult to influence mages while demons and Fae kind are highly invulnerable with older dragons being completely unaffected by her powers. There are consequences when channeling too much energy, when she reaches her limits she will experience black outs and memory loss with the point of no return resulting in a coma.
There are known objects and materials that can augment her powers but they are generally hard to get a hold of and she believes that she does not need them, however naive that may be.

Techniques:
-Emotional Manipulation: Helena can manipulate the emotions of living beings in two ways, a more powerful one on one connection or area of effect that weakens as the number of targets and/or the range increases.
-Mental manipulation: The way this effects animals and humans varies quite greatly, in the case of animals she can often times gain complete control of the animal by overpowering its own will, this effect will last for a long period of time with out reinforcement. Humans are different in that it is extremely difficult to exert full control however she can plant ideas and thoughts that with reinforcement become very powerful.
-Silver tongue: To some extent she can influence people with her speech this takes form only in suggestion and does not effect animals.
-Dream Eater: Helena has found that while her target sleeps she it is much easier to manipulate their mind or emotions and she can even get a few glimpses into their mind.

Personality:
Helena is obsessed with control and getting what she wants. She uses not only her magic but her charm to always have her way. To her everything is a competition that can be won by using others but she will not hesitate to do the dirty work herself. She is highly emotional but she attempts to always think rationally, with varying degrees of success. Helena is driven when she puts her mind to a task, when she pursues something she does it through thick and thin. She is very confident but suffers massive insecurities over being useless and she is plagued by feelings of inadequacy after failing to follow the Irulan traditions. She absolutely despises people who think they're better than others leading to very unsurprising issues with authority.

History

History:
The Irulans, a bloodline whose sight could have built an empire in their name, who could have engineered generations of increasingly powerful mages, who could have bred these mages to posses magic beyond that of sight, and yet have done nothing of the like. It is not their mercy or morality that keeps them from doing any of this, but instead a lesson every Irulan knows by heart "Those who can see the future can never control it for themselves." Whether this is true or not can be argued but the proof is in the history of the family if one looks closely. Despite this rule Helena's mother, an outsider without sight and an anxious woman at heart, begged her husband to tell her what their baby would grow up to be. Helena's father at first outright refused but the desire they both felt and his wife's pleading to know wore on him until he could no longer help himself and he looked into his child's future. What he saw was a girl gifted in the Irulan sight, and that was enough to change their anxiety into pride that bordered on bragging.

Sure enough a girl was born and her parents were elated, they had seen how bright her future was to be. However, when Helena came of age to test her magic there was almost none to found, except for one talent. This talent was one that less than a half of the family possessed and only a handful could use effectively, those who had it could influence and even control the minds and emotions of others around them. The Irulans simply called it manipulation, and it was basically Helena's only talent. Her parents were confused and though they tried to hide it, Helena knew they were disappointed. Her young mind couldn't quite grasp it yet but she realized that something that could not be fixed had just happenen. Helena would receive frequent tearful confessions from her parents that they just wanted her to be successful and that they were worried that she would never amount to anything. At 12 Helena was already meddling with her parents emotions to stop the constant strife in the house hold.

Helena would grow more and more powerful as the years went by. Between the few who could teach her and the family archives on manipulation powers, she did her best to learn but there was only so much to do in that environment and she knew she would outgrow the family and their teachings. Helena first expressed her desire to leave home at 18 and though the response was no she had made her intentions clear and a year later she left, not the smartest move for a single girl with out much combat training. As such she did find herself it a couple of tricky spots, but she was very good at talking her way out with her magic to back her up. Since the she's played the occasional con on a rich noble or merchant to make ends meet and greatly enjoys traveling still.

Other: She's well taught in many subject areas and she can identify most beasts and plants easily.
Her hatred for apples is both explainable and intense.

Magic: Runic magic

Runic magic requires writing (often long) words and phrases on clay tablets, then infusing the caster's own magical energy into them. Outside energy cannot be used. Larger and more specific runes can hold more energy. The spell is not immediately cast, but stored in the tablet until broken and released.

Techniques: Anne usually has a wide variety of small runes for mundane jobs that she carries on her in a black leather bag. She also has a few, stronger fire runes for in case she's attacked.

Equipment: Leather rune satchel.

Book of runes: Just like it sounds, a book where she writes down various runic designs she comes across.

Personality: Ironically, Anne's the liveliest girl you're ever likely to meet. "Bubbly", "Perky", and "Constantly Happy" are all terms used to describe her. Despite this, she's known for being a little bit of an airhead.

History: Anne hails from the desert town of Kalas. Located on the only navigable river and large freshwater source for 30 miles, Kalas is an incredibly wealthy trading town, with people from across the land coming to buy, sell, and live there. Anne learned she had the gift of magic at a young age, and was sent to study under an elf named Harna.

When she was 19, Kalas was struck by a Black Fever epidemic. Anne came down with the dreaded disease, and two weeks later, her body breathed its last. But that was not the end of her.

How and why ghosts form is poorly understood, but whatever the cause, Anne became one. It took her a little while to adjust to her new situation, but she did. After a few years, wanderlust set in, and Anne made her way to Rothar, where she now works as the house witch at the Black Horse Inn.

Other: Anne can telekinetically manipulate small objects (up to about five pounds), but anything larger than that she needs to possess. To possess an object, Anne essentially merges her ectoplasmic body with it. To a casual observer, the object seems to have come alive. She cannot possess living beings, nor anything made of iron or silver.

Anne has the standard-issue ghost powers of intangibility and invisibility, but she cannot phase through iron, salt, or silver, and weapons made of those materials can harm her as though she was flesh and blood. She also cannot hide from anyone with magically enhanced sight.

Being dead, Anne does not have the needs of the flesh, such as eating, drinking, breathing, etc.

Anne has a familiar, a grizzled old black tomcat missing an eye and an ear named Lucky. Lucky can talk thanks to his bond with Anne, but otherwise has no magical abilities.

Age: It's really hard to tell. Somewhere between 300 and 5000 years...

Race: Human. Well, he was one.
Appearance:

Graucus was born with pale skin, green eyes and strong facial features. Most of those traits have faded over time, and all that's left is a skeletal body covered with rotting flesh and grayish skin. He still has some white and long strands of hair left on the back of his head.

Magic:

Necromancy: This type of magic allows Graucus to pull any dead creature back into the world of the living and turn it into a mindless servant (or a soldier). It also gives him the ability to see and interact with spririts, demons and the like.

Life preservation: This type of magic has allowed Graucus to unnaturally extend his lifespan over and over again, to the point when he no longer looks human. It also removes some mortal necessities such as having to eat, drink or sleep to survive and strengthens his senses. Now, this doesn't mean he can't be killed, and as a matter of fact his skeletal body is really fragile and vulnerable to physical damage.

Techniques:

Graucus has undead minions around him nearly all the time, and he rarely has to do any kind of physical work thanks them. He can either telepathically control them like puppets or allow them to have a low level consciousness, though even then they'll be unable to resist his orders or try to hurt him.

He doesn't have a direct way of fighting, and prefers to have someone else do it for him.

Skills: Graucus is very good at sneaking and stalking, especially when it's dark.

Equipment: A wooden staff, a black robe, a knife and an ancient tome on dark arts.

Personality: Practising dark magic for centuries has corrupted Graucus's mind and all he wants is more power and knowledge. He has little care for people, and sees them as nothing but tools and weapons. If the lich has a sense of humour, it's a very dark and twisted one.

History:

Graucus was born to a noble family in a land far, far away. He carried another name back then, one that has been long forgotten. All he can remember from those times is the fear of death and the unknown, and the will to control that fear. Perhaps he lost someone close to him? He can also remember finding a dusty tome about black magic and opening it for the first time, raising a bunch of corpses in his family's crypt and accidentally destroying the entire village, including his family's estate, with them - That was before he could fully master his skills and control what he had summoned. He also remembers spending the next few decades running from the angry survivors and their families, further studying dark arts and growing in strength. At some point here he started to pass on his knowledge to a few young and aspiring mages, but got tired of them and abandoned them in some dark cave. Again decades, possibly even centuries passed and the man managed to stay alive through his magic, slowly degrading into a lich. He moved back into the ruins of his old village and turned it into his ghostly lair. This is where he's been living to this day, perfecting his skills in necromancy and planning world domination - Needless to say, most travellers and wannabe heroes who have gone too close have met with an unfortunate fate.

Other:

Uneducated people easily mistake Graucus for some kind of ghost or demon, and his existence has sprung up a lot of folklore and stories in the area around him. His name means gray in an ancient and dead language favoured by many sorcerers and priests.
