I made it pretty clear that if you joined up with Miyu you'd be joining her "To Spaaace!" quest for knowledge and not the battles. It'd take divine intervention to get Miyu back on the battlefields. She's just never going to develop into the character I had originally wanted, and so I'm going to use her as a tool for exploring the world and characters until Ragnarok.

Aka, if you want BEAST to fight, you might wanna let Miyu kill herself and cancel the host connection and find someone else.

Hey those weren't complaints, just observations. As long s Miyu isn't just planning on sitting in a corner all day, Beast is fine where he is. I just assumed there might be obstacles eventually in the form of enemies for her to encounter on her quest to dissect the inner workings of Nexus. Anyway if Miyu kills herself, Beast will likely just nest in the factory, eat all the metal it can find, and eventually go rogue scouring the nexus for her again like a lost dog.

Then again, if she continues being THAT desperate to get rid of Beast, he'll most likely die off on his own anyway from neglect. (fixed. Yall saw nothin)

If you're wondering what the delay is btw, it's that I'm having a really hard time thinking of any way this could boil down favorably.

To Miyu's perspective, it's like someone just beat her unconscious, then revived her so he could eat her best friend in front of her, "fixed" a problem she didn't have, stalks her, doesn't let her escape, and expects her to like him over it.

She liked Henry despite him also beating her unconscious and then abducting her, partly because he made sense (demon abduct angel, understandable and he's not expecting her to like him over this) and partly because he had charisma. BEAST is just so incredibly alien in thought process and action that both me and Miyu are incredibly confused about how to handle this.

Well the beating her unconscious part was an accident. I had no idea mantel would link Miyu to her mech in a way that would let her be effected by the virus to the point of physical damage. So that was a work around. As for the stalking her..well...she ran away while he was trying to physically show submissiveness. Not a lot to do but stalk her. Now he has to stop her from killing herself cause that's what his programming and instinct tells him to do; Protect. "Fixing" the vision was optional as I offered to remove that little feature or save it for later. Optical enhancement is included in parts of Beast's CS from the beginning after all. In spite of the seemingly hostile behavior, Beast is just following its programming. It defended itself from machina attack (Daimyo's touching) was activated, (Miyu touching) Fueled up, (consuming Daimyo) and imprinted on its host. (#unconsciousgirlscantsayno)

From the get go, Beast is a creature bred for destruction, combat, and the ultimate defense. Something of that nature isn't going to walk up and say "Hi, wanna be my friend and master?" Plus constructing him as having some kind of terminal or screen with a "Would you like to link with this murder machine of death?" button doesn't always hit very well with the hosts unless they have generally evil intent, which isn't a preferable host type. So the only way I could figure the process to go is like this, a totally random encounter that ends the host up linked to a creature by accident that grows on them through acts of defense and loyalty in-spite of seeming like a threat initially. But he's not perfect as I've not had many roleplays to throw him into. So I'm always open to suggestions of how to better assimilate him into roleplays.

If you would like to work together in a PM or talk here of a better way to integrate and link him to your character, I'm open for discussion.

In hindsight, if I had known Miyu had a factory, we could have just done this there. Beast would have crashed through the roof as an egg. Hopfully Miyu, being the curious one that she is, would prod at it in her lab somewhere where some useless lab equipment could have served as fuel instead of Daimyo;the only metal for miles in a barren desert landscape. Then maybe this relationship wouldn't have started off so rocky. But I figured a little drama wouldn't have been super bad and may have added a bit to the character development between Beast and Miyu. I obviously may have been wrong, seeing that she's now gone suicidal over it.

Well I said I would give Syphax a spear, and I got to thinking. Torag has a scythe and a broken sword, and he has the strength to wield two greatswords at once. And what are two sister swords that honestly belong in the Nexus?

Ragnell and Alondite.

Syphax - Aiglos

A mythical spear imbued with ice magic. In the right hands, it moves unnaturally quickly and flash-freezes whatever it cuts or stabs. Needless to say, it has found the right hands.

Aiglos can be used to create full-blown hurricanes and tornadoes if wielded by a Harpy.

Torag - Ragnell & Alondite

A pair of extremely heavy, blessed swords, known to ground even the strongest of fliers. Due to their weight, they function as both sharp and blunt weapons. Ragnell deals increased damage to demonic creatures, while Alondite deals increased damage to machines. Both swords are capable of sending out ranged shockwaves with enough force to level a small forest.

Given Torag's strength, he is capable of easily wielding both swords at once, one per hand.

@Inner Demon Only before I saw your post did I find out who the artist is. Have seen his/her work for the longest time, but couldn't pinpoint the artist. In fact, I used the art for BEAST in an old RP or two, so its a bit of nostalgia seeing it. But yes the artist is really good.
