@AbysmalDemon Don't get me started on quiver dance Liligant. Or if you've ever seen power trick Shuckle. (Or literally anything after they get two dragon dances in)

I went up against a quiver dance liligant but I used bulk of 4 times and Dynamic Punch REKT it. Don't get me wrong though, when I wasn't using Machamp it demolished everything else I had.

I'm more of a fan of unburden power herb Hawlucha person. Since most physical sweepers are fighting types, a 1 turn sky attack is usually all it takes. After that it has over seven hundred speed. Dynamic punch is what really makes Machamp such a beast though, guaranteed hits are no joke (unless your opponent has sheer cold or guillotine).

Never really tried out a Hawlucha. I actually one a battle with a Gliscor that had earthquake, roost, toxic, and taunt. It was really fun though. Gliscor was my last Pokémon and they had two more, a metagross which I took out with earthquake, and a sceptile, he clearly overpowered me so I used toxic, hit myself up with a roost every turn and waited till the toxic wore him down

@AbysmalDemon Well power herb means Hawlucha can use sky attack in just one turn, and that "30%" chance to flinch has been pretty reliable so far. Also, if you just want to be evil to somebody, put a lax incense on Whimsicott and just parafuse them. Even if they break through the paralysis and confusion, they'll almost always miss for some reason.

Oh ok interesting. I think I remember using a power herb a long time ago for a Pokémon that had solar beam.

Wow, you really know how to fortune some showdown people.

Do you want to hop into an OU match together?

I'm kind of interested to see all of our characters meeting. I'm also going to go on and say we might split into two groups at some point. Once @SuperTacticalDerp posts his bio, we'll have quite a few people here...if we get some more, gym battles could be a serious pain. This isn't exactly set in stone, but I'd just like to put the idea out there.

I'd be willing to be a gym leader for some of the battles if you ever need a hand.

Also, I have a question on combat posts. So you said it would be handled on showdown, but is it ok if I go to the chat and check what moves were used and if hey we're effective or if they missed and write a whole coma t scenario on it. I had a Pokémon RP before where all the battles were on showdown and they were barely written about. One of them was literally "Pickachu wrecked Goldeen and I won the battle." And eventually it got boring and fell apart.

@AbysmalDemon I actually fully intended for the moves used in Showdown to at least be implemented. Of course the battles won't be identical to how they'll go in Showdown. I mean, it'd be kind of lame to write how someone's scizor one hit literally everything the other person had.

Well of course it wouldn't be...

Scizor used Nightslash. OHKO. Scissor used Nightslash. OHKO.

@AbysmalDemon I know that wasn't what you were implying, but I'm just saying if two RPers were to battle and one got swept, I wouldn't be against messing with it a bit to at least make it look like it was hard fought.

Oh no of course. I'm just saying the post should be oriented around the moves used in the actual battle, but if we are dealing with a Scizor situation then we can mess with it, as Scozor OHKOing every pokemon would get boring.

@AbysmalDemon It actually brings up something I meant to mention before. Evolving during a battle is impossible in Showdown, but I'd actually allow somebody to bring the evolved form in and during the actual post have it evolve. Hopefully nobody's team is able to simply shut down the others anyway. It's kind of why I'm allowing for rotations in some teams to adapt to certain situations. And to also keep things interesting if our characters have serious battles down the line.

Yeah I don't know how evolving would work in showdown... :/

@fer1323 So I'm not criticizing your CS but I do have to ask about this line: "He has a good sense of humour and a good hearty meal." Going to guess you intended for it to say that he enjoys a good hearty meal and approve anyway.

In other news, I'm going to go on and put the Team Noble Commanders' Character info in the Character tab. Obviously there won't be anything important in it just yet, but stuff will be declassified over time. Now that I'm thinking about it, I should probably put the professor's information there too before we start.
