well, the two NPCS that were just posted are the Princes, so its pretty much a given they'll be human.

And then we have a Teifling, an Orc, a normal human, and a Human with Vampiric Ancestry.

I think this is a good cast of people as far as the human/non-human ratio go.

...not gonna lie, mine's going to be long.

Really long probably. But my introduction posts usually are. Will probably detail Cia leaving Malgrave castle, a brief summary of her travels and finding one of those fliers, and then arriving.

Well my starting post will summering the events in the Kingdom and introduce my two main characters ad what they are doing three days before the first day on winter :D

To be totally honest. I finished my post while I was exhausted. But passed out before I could post it. I am so thankful I didn't somehow delete it or mess it up in my sleep.

Terran Aver - The Wanderer

Other than the clothes found in the image, he also wears a simple leather quiver strapped to his waist. His facial tattoos travel down the back of his bald head, ending at his shoulders. His eyes are as brown as the earth he weilds, with a tan complexion fitting of a man who spends most of his life outdoors.

Personality Information:

Snarky, sarcastic, and sometimes downright rude. A life primarily lived in the wilds has raised him with effectively no manners at all. And a dose of cynicism after wandering through village after village, witnessing one tragedy after another.

Terran is very level headed and doesn't often let his emotions cloud his judgment, both in and out of combat. And he can usually be considered a pretty relaxed person.

He feels awkward expressing deep emotions, especially when trying to convey his care for friends/loved ones. Terran can also sometimes be quite self-detrimental.

Brief Backstory:

Terran remembers little of his parents or early childhood, only that he had been forced to live in an orphanage from a very young age. He, like many of the other children there, was unhappy with his life that mainly consisted of doing manual labor for either food, or a small sum of money to help keep the orphanage afloat.

At the age of 11 he fled the village, having no idea where to go or what to do when he escaped, Terran wandered into the woods. He had heard the stories of course, of the strange magic that enchanted the forest, causing trees to get up out of the ground and walk around when no one was looking, trees that were alive.

Seeing no walking wood or magical creatures to speak of, he hiked further into the woods without fear. After hours of searching for something (though what he didn't know) the child had grown very tired, and happened upon a dry, welcoming cave. Unfortunately for him, a pack of wolves must have thought the cavern was equally welcoming, as they had already taken the cave as their own.

The boy ran faster than he had ever run, hoping that somehow he would be able to escape the ferocious beasts that were swiftly gaining on him. Terran was eventually surrounded by the hungry looking animals, and as one of them lunged at him to tear him limb from limb, it was quickly intercepted by an arrow through it's neck. Courtesy of a man who would then step into the clearing and chase off the remaining predators.

After being saved, Terran was taken to his savior's humble home and cared for as if he were his son. His adopted father taught him many things about surviving alone in the wild, from archery to hunting to how to make a fire. Even a bit of earth magic that Terran (as his father had named him) found himself to be surprisingly skilled with.

Terran lived with his father for six years before he left on a hunting trip and never came back, seemingly having died on the mission. Though he never considered himself a very emotional person, we wept that night until he the tears would flow no more.

The next day the teen built an honorary grave to his adopted father. Among the possessions he had left behind in the small home in the woods he found a strange staff, seeming to pulse with power. There was a note attached, and Terran realized that this was supposed to be a gift to him from his late parent.

Current Events: - Having been living in solitude among the woods for the past four years he has grown quite lonely. Deciding to venture into a nearby village for the first time since his father's death, he has little in the way of money but he is an experienced hunter and has begun to sell the meat and skins of killed animals to put some change in his pockets.

The villagers are somewhat wary of him, and he doubts he wants to know what they about him behind his back. Suffice to say he is not incredibly well-liked.

Skills:

His main forte lies in dealing with all things of the wilderness, be that survival skills, hunting or bowmanship. He is also quite apt with Earth magic, though he is completely untrained with the other elements.

His primary combat style is a long-range approach, either hurling boulders or sharp chips of rock at enemies, or picking them off with precise shots from his longbow.

Terran is both light and quick on his feet, he has to be to traverse the rough terrain he usually finds himself in. Or to stalk an animal through the woods.

Gear:

Various survival items, including dried or smoked meats, fire starting equipment, items for shelter.

A magical focusing staff, allowing him to cast with less drain on himself, and enabling him to use more precise spells.

Race:
High Elf/Dark Elf hybrid race, commonly known as Orchids. The name derives from the Moth Orchid that grows in the thick Pine forests of Deuveren, the most northern High Elf region. As Dark Elves have fallen from the apparent grace of the First Ones, their blood has shifted from the immortal blue to the common red pigment. This mixing of red and blue causes Orchids to have purple blood surge through their bodies.

Age:
Archenos is one hundred and twelve, only eight more years until his tenth moon day.

Personality:
Archenos is cold in nature and icy in temperament. Though even he cannot deny he has a certain warmth for other miscreations like himself, he is for the most part, cruel and inconsiderate.

Most interaction with Archenos is complimented with few words, if any. He dislikes conversation, as actions speak louder than words. Magic is a intriguing subject to Archenos and, as such, he will spare no time in breaking through any obstacle to obtain more wisdom on its origins and characteristics.

Appearance

Appearance:
Six feet of drawn muscle and scars.

Archenos’ complexion is sampled, presumably, by his mother for the most part. His skin is a light ash grey and his ears streak backwards towards the hairline as is common with Dark Elves. Not only this but his eyes are a bright white throughout, a stark contrast with his unnaturally black hair, a strange addition to his appearance thanks to his father.

His hair is shoulder length and very fine, a single strand would be nearly impossible to detect with but an eye. It is worn up in a ponytail on the rare occasion that he removes his silver band that lays across his crown.

All of this is only seen if and when his cloak and armor is removed. A deep blue cloak, on the edge of black, tattered and thick with fur trim. Beneath it rare ivory steel plate, lightweight but durable, stolen from his father's armory. The thick and long sharpened pads that cover the chain beneath reflect every glimmer of light perfectly against their blackness.

Upon his head Archenos wears a similar helm of the same material, a single thick band of ivory steel stretched across his skull like a cowl, with strangely no holes or embellishments upon it. A top this helm sits a literal cowl that resembles a snake's tongue, black and forked at its tip.

On his grey weathered belt lives his blade, tucked away into an Elven sheath, decoratively engraved with the sigil of his lost house. A pine tree, stripped of all but its branches. Adjacent to his belt, tied still by a handful of clasps are an assortment of blades, some diminutive and doubtful to fit into the hand of even a child, and others large enough to gut a giant.

Below his waist is no different to above it, his armor dons his entire body and the cloak passes down to behind his knees, the pointed steel boots are forked as his cowl is, and from them to his head a mist ceaselessly rises from within and out into the air.

Should Archenos’ magic become overpowering, his appearance falls upon pale skin and paler hair, his eyes fall desperately into a pool of black ink, and his long ears shrivel to their base. In this form his entire body takes on the abrasive appearance of an Ice Witch.

Backstory

Backstory:
Archenos is Son to two magic wielding Elves. His Father, head of a noble and ancient High Elf house, sentinel of the Dying Flame and his Mother, a Dark Elf mystic, known by many as The Frozen Eye.

It has been said that his father ventured far into the depths for the one who could see past the present. He was beyond listening to reason, as Archenos was not his first child. He had three daughters to a High Elf wife before Archenos even crossed into existence.

His wife,however, was dying to a frightful infection. He sought any means for her life to endure through his love for her, but also through necessity. The laws were plain on remarriage, a widow must remain as such - and he needed a male heir.

When finally he came upon the yearning strides of a cave spider, timid in approach and movement, he saw the dim glow of eyes on its patterned back. A crooked reflection of light on the sharpened teeth above him, a cackle as he made his way up the rope ladder thrown down to him.

She had been waiting, for months she had sat. His arrival was foretold, and so she went on for many hours, of his past and his present, of traitors and the virtuous. When finally, she took a deep breath and smiled, slyly.

His wife was dead, she informed him. His heir was not to be of her womb. Though the story takes many turns from this point on, as there have been countless tales of it woven with moving lips - all suggest that the old seer persuaded the strong Noble to give her his seed.

And stories is all that Archenos has ever heard, and perhaps most of what he has seen too. For since birth and his old mother's inevitable death through his life, he has seen darkness in the cellars of his father's home. Smelt all but the bright platters he had sometimes heard muffled voices enjoy from above his damp stone room.

It was only on his second moon day that his father finally kicked him from the cellar into the court to be seen by the council. After 24 years of imprisonment, not a word was spoken between them, and since then a hatred for his own people has grown within him.

Since being exiled from Deuveren, Archenos has embraced the magical inheritance of both his parents, burying his father's influence deep inside himself while his cold features remain exterior and apparent. At first Archenos stole, then he bullied, then blood was drawn and soon lives were taken. Darkness has shrouded his passage to the First Ones light and he has accepted that fate with open arms.

Skills

Skills:
Archenos wields his bastard sword with great skill, many years of training and bloody use of this blade has resulted in his knowledge of its every detail, its weight and length comfortable to his grip. However, his sapping sword is not the only blade that Archenos has come to be proficient with, as his life alone in the wilderness has called for a hunters sense and stamina, leading to his use of butchering and skinning blades.

Besides the power over steel through his hand and arms, Archenos' knowledge of magic is also a force at his disposal. The Orchid blood in his veins burns with an icy pulsing of old magic. At his disposal Archenos has the lore of fire and ice, inherited from both parents independently, each with its own cost.

Lore of Ice -
Cost: Archenos pays the price of this magic through his life, the warmth of the sun and the fresh taste of wild apples is ghostly to him. His world is grey and without vibrancy as his ice powers are being used. This is arguably the reason for his abrasive personality as he embraces the ice openly and without hesitation, dulling what may have once been a kind soul.

Spells:

Icy Grip - Archenos instills his hand with the frozen winds of his home, enchanting his blade that he wields with a freezing augmentation. The gauntlets that sit upon Archenos' elegant hands are capable of slowly the heartbeat of any that he holds tightly, torturous and potentially deadly.

Rising Cold - Archenos gouges through the material, opening a passage from the barren wastes of frozen plains, spreading its unbearable cold about him. The moisture in the air crashes to the floor and all green leaves are held stalwart against the wind, trapped within a cage of ice.

Shielding Rift - From deep within the Plane of Ice, Archenos summons a glacial wall of ice before him, a barrier as solid as tempered iron. Though a powerful defense, the Plane is a barbarous mistress, so only one wall of ice can stand before the chilling gift shatters.

Lore of Fire -

Spells:

Fiery Breath - A cone of raging fire erupts from Archenos’ widened mouth, spitting sparks up into the air and burning all in its path. The licking flames and consequent smoke form raking fingers and brutish hands, gripping and scratching their foes as they burn through the oxygen about them.

Ashen Armor - Archenos’ ivory steel armor bubbles and whistles a vicious scream as steam pops along its scaled design. Taking on a viscous molten appearance, the armor fuses with Archenos’ grey skin, causing extreme pain but superior mobility and defense, especially against small blades such as arrow heads that will melt into the glowing armor.

Gear

Gear:
Vein Drainer - A magical Dark Elf bastard sword with a Black Khepri handle, embellished with the Pinesorrow Sigil, that provides strength as it devours the blood it is fed. Along its length of glinting steel the metalwork dips at the center, so blood can pool and be drawn inside.

Flesh Blades - Various blades meant to pierce skin and flesh of different density and texture, used mainly to butcher slain animals for fresh meat but occasionally used to torture those who test Archenos' temper.

Mirrored Helm - A magical helm enchanted so that the wearer sees the reality around the helm from within, displayed on its interior like an inverted mirror. Archenos also feels the mirroring magic assists him somehow in keeping his two magical personalities separated.

Twin Rings of Sundeigar - The twin rings of the Sundeigar bridge are solid gold, taken from the cold corpses of the old necromancer and battle scarred paladin who were forever at war between their keeps beside the river Sundeigar. Powerful artifacts from before his time, enchanted with powers of both fire and ice.
