[IC] Pokémon Battle Frontier

"Well, we'll get there." Liam said. Smaug was standing there waiting while the humans conversed.

"You feeling alright?" Titania asked Smaug.

"I don't trust humans. This one that caught me seems to be nice, but foolish." Smaug replied in his mind. The part that Smaug wouldn't tell Titania was that he remembers his mom was held by a poacher. She distracted the poacher so he could get away. He heard a loud crack, followed by his mother roaring in pain, followed by a thud. Since that he had encountered four cruel humans. He than decided to set up a home here and tried to keep himself from being hurt.

"You sound like a Ralts I met a year back," stated Titania, seeing Smaug's memory of the poachers in his mind, "Your new trainer is very capable of taking care of Pokémon, being the son of the honourable family of Nurse Joys that run every Pokémon Centre around the world. My trainer on the other hand has a Pokémon who had the worst start to life you could imagine and it was here in Mt. Moon that he turned over a new leaf and pledged his loyalty to him." The Gardevoir shuddered in fear at the mention of Shiranui's strongest Pokémon.

Smaug was not happy about his personal thoughts being invaded. He decided to simply light the way as Liam had asked.

Titania decided to wait until the time was right before she divulged Smaug's backstory to Liam. Shiranui saw Smaug start complying with Liam's order.

In the distance, Liam saw two figures in the distance, but there wasn't enough light for Liam to discern who it was ahead.

Shiranui however had better night vision thanks to his ninja training and was able to make out who was up ahead.

The twins make their way to the bottom of the cave, defeating a man with glasses who had blocked them from proceeding. After they defeated him, he gave them one of the fossils that he had and allowed them to continue their way. All of their Pokemon ready to faint, they hoped that they were nearing the end.

"Koneko, what's that over there?" Neko said pointing.

"It looks like a staircase."

"Does that mean we're almost done with this place?"

Inuzu was busy, very busy. He stayed up every night and day training with Giovanni. His Charmander wasn't seeing any improvement. All it could do is get knocked around. Inuzu felt annoyed. It was as if Giovanni only wanted Inuzu to join so that he could have his Charmander be a punching bag for his Houndoom.

Liam hurried to catch up to the two figures, shinning a flashlight to try and help get thier attention.

The twins notice a light and look back to see what the source was. When they looked, they saw Liam with a flashlight.
"Hey, how's it going?"

"Alright." Liam said. "This is my newly captured Charmander, Smaug." Liam said indicating to the Lizard Pokémon. "I was going to show you about all of the different kinds of Pokéballs. There are several kinds." Liam set his bag down and fished out the different kinds, holding them up as he talked about them. "Beyond the standard Pokéball, there's the Premire Ball, which is purely a reskinned Pokéball. Next there's a Great Ball, with is superior, than the Ultra Ball is superior to the Great Ball. There's the Repeat Ball, which does better if you have already caught that kind of Pokémon, the Timer Ball, which does better the longer the battle has gone on, The Net Ball is superior if used on bug or water types, The Quick Ball works best at the start of the battle, The Heal Ball instantly restores the caught Pokémon to full upon capture, The Dusk Ball works better in caves or at night, and my personal favorite, the Luxury Ball, which makes Pokémon more friendly with the trainer, as it is a cozy ball. There is also a man in Johto who makes specialty balls from appicorns.
The Fast Ball works like the Quick Ball, The Lure Ball works better on Pokémon who were fished out, The Love Ball works better if the captured Pokémon was the opposite gender of the one it faced, The Friend Ball works like the Luxury Ball, The Moon Ball works best on Pokémon who evolve with a Moon Stone, and The Heavy Ball works best on heavier Pokémon. Above all the others is The Master Ball. I do not have an empty one of those right now, but it is guaranteed to catch the wild Pokémon.

Nearly fainting from all of the information that Liam just gave, Neko grabs onto Koneko trying not to fall.
"All right, I understand. How do people get Master Balls? I heard they were extremely rare."

"Well, normally speaking you are lucky to find one every fifty years, but that is not the only way. For instance, we have encountered Pokéball factories under attack and saved them, the owner gave us each one as a thank you. Also, some lottos have a Master Ball as the Grand Prize.

"Anything else you want to tell us? We were about to leave and I'd like to get out of the cave as soon as possible."

"Well, that is all on all of the different kinds of Pokéballs. I can tell you that, you won't find Great Balls until Lavender Town, and Ultra Balls in Celadon. Those other balls I told you about you may not find many of till later." Liam said. He also informed them that the next gym was Water Type, but it might still be good for them to come watch the battles in the Battle Factory.

"Battle Factory? What's that?" Neko asks confused.

There are a group of facilities scattered across Kanto. These facilities are collectively known as the Battle Frontier. There is talent scout, named Scott that goes around looking for strong trainers to have challenge it. The first facility is the Battle Factory, near Cerulean City.

"By watching us battle, you can learn some battle techniques," Shiranui added.

[NekoMizu]

Neko looks at Shiranui. "All right! But. Who're you?"
