[IC] Pokémon Battle Frontier

"Rapid Spin and Ice Beam!" Liam called. Hydro began spinning and using the Ice attack, making Stalagmites of ice appear all over the stage. Liam hoped to freeze Zorro in the process.

"Night Daze into Dig!" Zoro conjured a dome of dark energy that was blasted by Hydro's Ice Beam, resulting in a dome of dark energy-infused ice being created. Zoro used the distraction to dig his way under the stage.

"Now, Earthquake!" Liam called.

[James Davy]

The stage shook and Zoro took a lot of damage. Shiranui's points took a big hit and Zoro burst out right under Hydro. Time was on the verge of running out.

"Now, Aura Sphere and Withdraw!" Hydro fired a ball of energy from his main cannon toward Zorro, which would hit for considerable damage after the weakness and Mega Launcher. Hydro than ducked into his shell to cushion the damage from the fall and the explosion the attack would make on impact.

"Counter with Extrasensory!" Zoro donned an Espeon illusion and his eyes started glowing gold. The disguised Zoroark fired an iridescent beam from his gem. The attacks met and sparks were flying from where they were joined as they tried to overpower each other.

"Push it toward Zorro with Hydro Pump!" Liam called as the timer his 0:10.

"Nasty Plot into Hyper Beam!" Zoro channelled his evil thoughts into a boost of power before adding a Hyper Beam to the mixture of attacks. At the last second the attacks exploded, covering the stage with smoke. Zoro dropped his illusion amidst the smoke and was panting in exhaustion after that last attack.

Hydro was panting as well. The scoreboard showed that Liam had a few points more remaining than Shiranui did, and was named the winner. Liam was presented with the Cedar Ribbon and the next contest was annouced to be held in Fusciha City. Hydro reverted to his normal form. Liam praised Hydro and recalled him to his ball. Liam than went to the Pokémon Center to heal the Pokémon who competed.

Shiranui soon had Senritsu and Zoro healed at the Pokémon Centre. His thoughts were on their next destination—the Battle Pike—and what they could be up against.

"Why, hello there boys." Said a familiar voice. Liam turned to see Looker sitting at a nearby table with a cup of coffee. "I imagine the contest is what brought you two to Cedar Town."

[James Davy]

"It was," answered Shiranui, "Something big must be happening for you to show up here." He was curious as to what could be happening.

Looker explained that he was following a tip about a poacher said to be somewhere between Cedar Town and Fuchsia City.

[James Davy]

"Hopefully we won't cross paths with that ne'er-do-well en route to the Battle Pike," replied Shiranui, "If we do, we'll let you know."

Looker bowed in appreciation. A Chancey came out and handed over a Pokébll to Looker while another Chancey brought Liam and Shiranui the ones they had healed. Liam and Looker thanked the Chanceys.

Shiranui thanked the Chansey as well.

"Shall we ead out?" Liam said to his friends.

[James Davy]

"Definitely," answered Shiranui.

[Mike the Bloodwolf]

"My my, you guys take a long time to get ready after a heated battle" Sashia said as she waved to the two boys. "Mike went on ahead so he can get to cinnabar island. He picked up a couple of fossils on the way and he going to give me one of them so I can train them for the contests in Sinnoh next" Sashia smiled as she pulled up her backpack and made sure she had everything she needed.

"Both Liam and I have a few restored fossils," replied Shiranui, thinking about his Omanyte, Aerodactyl and Tyrunt, "We have considered Sinnoh as our next place to train after we're done with the Battle Frontier; as well as Unova and Alola."
