[Neko of Death]

Skylar sees Ember. She shifts back to her normal form. "Hey what's wrong," Skylar asked as nice as she could.

Hugo, the Human

A young man in a tan suit walked through the courtyard of Balbasorus Academy. He was, of course, completely out-of-place there. The nonhumans wandering about eyed him cautiously, but school rules kept them from causing him any trouble... And it was obvious that he wouldn't be there if he didn't have some sort of power. He placed his suitcase on the ground and turned his pipe upside down, giving it a few taps to dump the ash into the dirt, and he refilled and relit his pipe. He then retrieved his suitcase and continued on his merry way down a path towards one of the buildings.

He approached the first person who didn't instinctively avoid him, armed with a single question. Entirely on accident, he phrased it with a simple rhyme, framing it with a short wave of his pipe in his free hand.

"I'm new, though I'm not sure about you. Which way is the dormitory?"

Skylar looked over at the well-dressed young man and gazed at him suspiciously as she pondered the odd manner in which he was speaking. "I am rather new but I can show you where the dorms are I guess," she said as she tried to smooth her ruffled fur by swishing her tail back and forth.

Ember looks up and puts on a smile "I've been here a while maybe I can show both of you around"

Hugo, sensing something vaguely resembling confusion from the felid girl, begins making a focused effort to speak like a normal person. He fails on his first try, to his displeasure. The music in his head isn't about to let him go without a rhyme this time around.

"Ah, thank you! I'm Hugo, but you can call me Hugh."

[Firegirl1015]

"I'm Ember but you can call me Diablo or monstruo, everyone does. I dunno why but it sounds fancy"

[Neko of Death]

Skylar stuffed her hands in her pockets. "Skylar," she said hesitantly. She looked over at ember. "Who calls you that?" She asked tilting her head to one side.

[Azereiah]

Hugo tilted his head to the side. Ember didn't seem like the kind of person who'd be called Diablo, but if that was what she wanted to be called, he'd happily oblige her. Both were obviously nonhuman. He didn't think it would be polite to point out their 'unusual' features, though. He had to catch himself whenever his eyes strayed to a tail or wing. That seemed impolite too.

"Good to meet both of you. So, about that tour...?"

Third time was the charm. He managed to avoid rhyming this time.

"Right!! Well here we have the courtyard. Next let's go see the mess hall. Ooh and next the dorms then maybe the 'special classroom'"

[Azereiah]

"Oh my. I've never seen a courtyard before. I wondered what they looked like."

Hugo gave a playful smirk to accompany his smartass remark. He was in a groove, keeping his words straight and orderly, and he would likely keep it that way.

[Neko of Death]

Skylar's ear twitched. She found it slightly odd that ember was so excited about this but she dismissed the thought and followed her lead. She was still very unsure of the new guy. Something about him seem off about him and she kept an icy gaze apon him. She didn't care if he noticed either. If he became uneasy the more control she'd feel over the situation.

She half skips half flutters to the mess hall "and this is where they cook the food, the harpies and goblins are great cooks and can make whatever you want"

[Azereiah]

Hugo's eyes tried to follow the motion of Ember's wings as she half flew across the grounds. She was far faster than he was, but he kept up nonetheless. Skylar seemed on edge to him, but that was probably just because he was a human, right?

"I'll have to try it out when I get the chance. Anything you especially like there?"

[Neko of Death]

"Answer me this: how do harpies cook?" She asked.

[Azereiah]

He dodged what he thought might have been the setup for a joke of some sort. He was enjoying himself so far, despite all the odd looks he was getting.

"Very carefully?"

[Neko of Death]

"But harpies don't have hands," she pointed out.

[Firegirl1015]

Ember looks up "well I really like the mandarin chicken and the mashed potatoes. As for how. I dunno. Never watched them but don't worry they wear wing nets"

[Azereiah]

"Perhaps they use their beaks? Either way, I'm not going to complain as long as they're good at it. I'll have to try the mandarin chicken, then."

[Neko of Death]

Skylar shrugged as she looked around.

[Azereiah]

Hugo waited a few moments and looked around as well, taking in the environment. "So, shall we continue?"
