I'm all honesty I think it'd be cool to see how people with overlapping abilities would invent new ways to fight each other.

The thing is that abilities with OVERLAP would be fine, but I could see having the exact same ability as someone else would be a little boring. Unless, that is, you planned it with them. Depends on the writers, y'know?

Potential Spoilers to the 2nd season of the anime

I wish they had showed their fight a little longer, even if it was mostly just the two of them hitting each other. The little we did see was great. Kirishima is one of my favorites out of the secondary cast.

Watching Kirishima and Tetsutetsu go at it was fun. And imagining how they'd one up each other is kind of exciting. But for the two of them, they were initially kind of frustrated with the similarity.

Yeah. Even if the players decided to coordinate two characters with quirks that similar, their characters probably would not appreciate having someone exactly equal to them. It would all be up to the guys making the characters, but just from a personal standpoint, I wouldn't be super thrilled if someone else picked a power just like Eir's. That's just me though, obviously.

Seconded. Similarities could be cool. I mean, hell,ow many different characters shoot things out of their hands already? But the differences are what make them fun. I could definitely see someone else having something similar to the tags with Jefferson's quirk, but emitting/absorbing something different. Hell, a guy with Thermite handprints could work. I just think there's some wiggle room, and if there's question, ask the other author you're worried about. That way everyone stays on a low-salt diet.

EDIT: Also, would anyone want to have a discord server for this? Questions and answers could be easier to address there as well as collaboration posts or any sort of planning.

...Out of curiosity, how many students attend the academy and how many are in the "Hero Course," per se? Essentially, how big is our class and do we have upperclassmen.

@Tominas I kinda mentioned it at the start of the OOC. The total student body is made up of a hundred and the only course offered is the hero course. As for upperclassmen, this year's group - the first one hundred - is the pioneer batch for the academy.
