A young woman looks at you as you stare across an island. She stands near a beautiful multi-coloured tree, brimming with life and energy, a clear and sparkly moat of water surrounding them both. She pushes up her worn glasses upon her nose. "Welcome, traveller. To the dwelling place of adventurous spirits, with histories aged and distant. Here you'll find the answers to your curiousity." Her voice echoed across the lake. "What lives they led. What they are truly like. What they think of themselves. What inner thoughts they had of the people around them. And what kind of adventure are they on?" The woman spoke softly to you. Kneeling down by the water's end, she tapped the surface of a bright light, that seemed like a living soul, and watched it zip past her in a hurry.

Personality: As much as she tries to not be stiff, many find it hard to perceive Yui's emotions and intent. This is due to her upbringing, which caused her to supress what you may call 'positive' emotions. This does not mean she cannot feel, but simply she cannot express herself, leading to many miscommunications and confused looks. Yui is person who prefers the truth, however lacking are her expressions, is sympathetic and understanding. A firm and just leader, she is one that many can look up to.
History: Hailing from a family of history, Yui is the eldest daughter of the Miuras. As the heiress of fortune and nobility, Yui was constantly attacked by expectations and familial pressure. As time went on, Yui was able to embrace it, in sacrifice for her emotions. Throughout her turbulent life, she found solace in games - her favourite being Emerald Odyssey. It just so happened that one of her sparse free days aligned with the release date of Cloudfall, which she would explore and play to relieve her stress...
Combatant Classes:
Paladin The frontline class, one that leads the battle with their charisma. They boast high defence and long-melee range, able to protect their allies in a pinch. Their main weapons are light lances and heater shields. Paladin's passive ability is Fortress, which gives defence and resistance to nearby allies. Paladins rely heavily on physical lance-based attacks for damage, but have limited magical abilities that allow them to cover, heal and increase defensiveness for allies.
Sabreur Trading defence and strength for magic power and dexterity, sabreur is a hybrid class. Wielding both rapiers and magic, sabreurs are known as 'jack-of-all-trades', filling ally gaps with their utility. They possess myriads of abilities that let them gap close for a flurry of rapier combos, then retreat to safety to let off a chain of explosions. Known better for their pure destructive power than healing and support, sabreurs work better in a team with good frontline and defensive capabilities.
Non-combatant Classes
Harvester Known as the sage of the land, harvesters are experts in all things flora. Harvesters study plant life and their effects in foods, potions and raw consumption. They use this knowledge to procure various vegetation, especially rarer materials needed for certain crafting classes. Harvesters have a passive ability called Sixth Sense, which lets players feel the presence of the flora which they are searching for within a limited radius. However, without the knowing the biodiversity of plants, harvesters cannot utilise the passive ability effectively.
Alchemist Magician through scientific means, alchemist study naturally occurring elements and magic by concocting potions with particular effects. Healing potions, love potions, poisons and antidotes, potions that disintegrate metals and ones that give limited invisibility to the consumer. These phenomenon are what alchemists pursue and aspire to understand. The only drawback is that material can be very expensive and rare, leading to many beginners giving up early.

A strong warrior on the field, an unwavering front-line engager. As a top practitioner of her family heritage swordsmanship, Monarch knows her strength and purpose clearly. Someone to protect those who cannot protect themselves, that is the only thing that keeps her going forward, even suffering tragedies upon tragedies. Even off the battlefield, when her katana must rest, she itches to help any and all people within her reach. To her, personal rest is a luxury that cannot be afforded in this world. Kind yet distant. Selfless yet independent. Little clumsy yet steady. As long as she can touch you, Monarch will not let you fly higher than her.

A simple woman hailing from Victoria, with a simple family. It had been a while since she laid her hands on steel, but she was happier holding little hands with her husband. A budding family that existed on the edges of an abandoned area, away from originium and those that would prosecute or exploit the Infected. It was very isolating, but she would rather spend what little time she had with her children, who had unfortunately contracted oripathy.
One return back from a foraging trip, an empty home with signs of struggle. She rushed to the nearest city, sword in hand, hoping what she had feared the most would not come true. What she set her eyes upon, it was a betrayal and loss that almost stole her soul. The Empire of Urus is not merciful to the Infected, not even to children. Standing on the border of commotion, she watched as her children were decapitated, and her husbandβ¦ smiling with satisfaction. In a fury of rage and distress, she slaughtered the officers near her deceased children, and almost tore her ex-husbandβs throat, a blade at his neck. Monarch withdrew her katana, even if she was disgusted by him, she couldnβt easily erase the now broken memories. Monarch took her childrenβs bodies, and disappeared for a time.
Through word of mouth, Monarch was recommended to Rhodes Island after showing impressive military prowess as a mercenary, and a strong repulsion to Urus and all that they stood for. Monarch swore to be their anti-thesis, and this time, she will not hesitate to cut through the body of her betrayer.

γ Abilities γ When focused, Monarch can activate her art, in which she can accurately strike weak points that show in the form of a blue butterfly. She can only do this for a short duration, in which she will have to tactically reposition herself for one on one battles until recovery.

A woman sun-kissed by the golden sun, Nayavanti is the jewel of her community. A beautiful lady standing at an average height of 5'5'', her dark locks and obsidian eyes shine brightly in the daylight. Nayavanti tends to dress in brightly-coloured saree and matching mojari. Underneath that modest clothing is a lean, toned warrior's body, ready for fight or flight at a moment's notice. Accessories are limited to the necessary earrings, to show her heritage, and to have an easier time to battle.

Born as an only child, Nayavanti has always been gifted with the word of the law. That didn't mean she was always geared to bring fairness to people. At first it was helping people understand the rules. It was about bringing meaning and understanding to legal terms. Then it was watching her family suffer under an unfair ruler, seeing the community plagued by thieves and swindlers, and witnessing Mother Pacha deteriorate. Her little just heart couldn't take it anymore. Her talent became her sword, her words equipped her with a shield. She was fighting an uphill battle, but she had the noblesse oblige; her destiny has always been calling her from beyond.
"Natural laws have existed before time began. They must know actions have consequences. Mother Pacha does not have a voice, my role is to enact her will."
An iron fist with a soft heart, Nayavanti listens to people and their woes. Her compassion for the slighted have left her to be an advocate amongst her people. She tends to sway and reason with people, citing the current and relevant laws to reason with naysayers. She may not have a warm face, but she has a gentle soul that follows trouble and tries to resolve them.

Nayavanti saw the Mother come to her in whispering dream. It pleaded for her help and principled personality to right the wrongs in the world. Nayavanti answered, she agreed, she couldn't turn a blind eye, and certainly not from Mother Pacha. She was always on the path to make amends, it just attached an important reason to it.

Whenever Nayavanti is stressed or emotional, she will write in a magical journal that she summons by her thoughts. It is written in fae language, meaning no-one can read it unless they are also a fairy, and if they can coerce her to summon it.

Negative Traits:
Sympathetic: It may seem like a strength, however Nayavanti's inability to say 'no' or turn a blind eye to suffering has often stretched her thin and stressed her out a lot.
Rigid: Dealing with the laws and justice system meant that Nayavanti often only sees a 'right' way and 'wrong' way, in which she completely discards personal circumstances that lead people to the wrong path.
Strong-willed: Attached to the 'my way or the high way' viewpoint, Nayavanti can come off as harsh and unfriendly at times. Her way of 'reasoning' is pushing a specific point across and hoping the other party sees it as truth.
Fear:
Unable to fulfil her goal and disappoint the people who trust in her. To become someone who wields words and rules as if they're the highest being.
Goal:
To defend and bring forth people's rights that were relinquished during these dark ages.
Nayavanti is a genius, basically born with the tablet of laws in her little fists. This allows her to read faster, process thoughts faster, and speak faster. This makes her gifted in battle tactics and applications of martial techniques come to her naturally.
Eloquent:
Gifted with persuasiveness, Nayavanti is able to lead debates and conversations. This often translates to having witty talk, that may offend or humour most, sometimes both.
Physical prowess:
Unlike her intelligence, Nayavanti has trained in marital arts since young. It consists of various techniques meshed together, as most are considered lost knowledge.
Tapping into the darker parts of her lineage, Nayavanti is able to impose a 500 meters by 500 meters square area that debuffs enemies. The type of debuff depends on what Nayavanti chooses, and only be two max at a time. It can only affect perception, agility, healing, including self-regeneration, as well as physical and/or magical power. This lasts for up to 15 minutes.
