Miss Light

Backstory: (Note: I had a much more detailed backstory for Miss Light almost done, but then I lost it in a computer crash. I may type up the more detailed version again once the wave of crushing despair born from its loss has passed. Until then though, I'm just gonna sum it up in bullet points.)

• Miss Light was initially called Marian Lovelace.

• Every member of Marian's family aside from her mother hated Marian because Marian was born out of wedlock and since the Lovelace family are favored servants of the Ruling Family, scandal like that is not a thing they enjoy.

• Life generally sucked for Marian until she found Arkerym, a Hexblade longsword and loyal servant of the Raven Queen.

• Arkerym revealed to Marian that her father was in fact Mister Light, who fell in love with Marian's mother the last time the Witchlight Carnival was in Valerith before fun was banned.

• Arkerym then offered Marian a deal: Arkerym helps Marian escape her mean relatives, find her father, and rescue her mother from the aforementioned mean relatives. In return, Marian becomes Arkerym's warlock and serves the Raven Queen.

• Marian took the deal, gained warlock powers, gained clown powers, escaped, changed her name to Miss Light, and at some point met Birdboy's character, resulting in them becoming partners in clown crime.

• Game begins some time after that.

Background: folk hero
Personality: foolishly fearless, energetic, chipper at all times, and a faithful and loyal companion to her friends. Widry is a thrill seeker who enjoys putting her bravery to the test daily by defying the legal system to fight for what she knows is right.

Widry wears her heart on her sleeve and combined with her high energy makes her prone to expressing her feelings freely. She tends to act fast and think second and while this makes her a less than ideal leader it does get things done.

Widry is very childish in many ways, enjoying playful banter, silly pranks, and mischievous ways to entertain. A child at heart too, she never hides her strangeness but rather makes it her defining aspect.

While I do think she would have made guest appearances at Giggle Gang shows as often as she could, I don't think Miss Light would have been able to commit to official membership due to her warlock duties keeping her busy. After Widry sent the Giggle Gang away though, I imagine Miss Light would have found a way to clear her schedule and become a full time companion to Widry in the interest of assisting her efforts to rescue the imprisoned Giggle Gang member.

Well likewise, I think Widry would be more than happy to try to find a carnival. She's barely a bard and would love some sort of guidance in her magical arts. Besides a few lessons as a kid she doesn't have any sort of mentor. But this is good, we are set up! I do think we have scared of the new guy.
