Rowan blinkered awake, rubbing his head and groaning. "Eugh, huh?" He tried to stand up, but still found himself disoriented by the surprise scream. He had to stabilize with his baton, then looking to the others. "No really, what the hell is going on?" He flipped up his hood, looking around. "I woke up this morning... not feeling like myself... but then I remembered... I just don't -know- myself... and this... this isn't helping me get my bearings... I can't do it..." He then looked down, sculpting his baton into shoulder pads, as his arms sank low. His hands were open, like he lost all hope and interest.

Al fell onto his back an with a small smirk on his face. He watched the ship fall beneath the waves carrying any surviving Vitus to drown ,a dn this thought brought an even bigger smile to his face. He face Allen and laughed. "Get us the hell outta here man." His eyelids grew heavier and heavier until they eventually closed. "Wake me up when we get there...."

Sky looked at the strange beast sadly, then back at the boat. "I should go, but what about you?" She frowned then motioned for it to follow her to the others. "You should come with us, I'm sure there will be more Vitus on land somewhere." The thought didn't bother her as much as she figured it should, though something inside her did stir as she thought about the alien invaders. "Come on, let's go." Jogging over to the others, she hopped on the boat. "I doubt you pushing this onto shore is going to be any more disturbing than watching that fall out of the sky... Or this guy over here. He might give you a run for your money."

Allen kicked it into high gear and started glowing brightly as he pushed the now somewhat heavier boat, "This is gonna be a hell of a press conference." Allen pushed with all his might, and as they entered the bay he saw hundreds of officers gathering along with huge amounts of civilians gathering behind them, "If the government approaches us...Let me do the talking...I have dealt with some of the biggest officials in our government...Hopefully its someone i know."

"Flush Royal...It's my win!" was the only thing that Jack remembered saying, before opening his eyes. The sudden sunlight disturbed his vision, but soon he realized he was lying in a small pool of his own blood, with the other survivors. Among them he recognised Al, Sky and Allen. He was in quite a pain, but nonetheless stood up. His had a huge burn and he realized that Al burned the wound he had.

"Hey there...Seems like we survived, didn't we?" he said joyfully.

Then he watched as they were approaching a coast, something that touched him, considering all they have been through. He messed with Sky's hair, while also saying to Al, while pointing his burn:

"I owe you one, Al! And I never forget to repay my debts!"

Then he waited to land with everyone else.

"Hey Allen, if you need the support of an international celebrity, I can follow up. I am quite famous myself, so I can handle conversations quite well!"

Sky smiled down at Jack with relief. "You pull something like that again and I'll be the one to kill you." Her laugh was flat and thick with exhaustion as she turned her gaze toward the shore. "Worst case scenario I might have enough energy to level the playing field. Human eardrums are a lot weaker than I expected." Personally she wanted to crawl into a bed and sleep for hours but the adrenaline pumping through her veins had her wired and ready to fight whatever came at her, whether it be human or Vitus alike.

Al laughed as he laid otherwise motionless on the boat. "Jacky boy just consider us even for that kamikaze move you pulled earlier." He blew a sigh of relief that they were so close to home, and at the fact that Allen offered to deal with the government response that was assured to be waiting for them on the shore. He was going to keep his mouth shut the entire time or he would definitely make the situation worse.

Rowan saw that the others were taking off without him, and as such got flustered. The water wasn't a big deal, right? But no, he didn't think he'd have remembered how to swim. Rowan looked onward to the boat drifting off, frowning. He stepped back to the opposite edge of the ship, as he passed the hatch he drew out his wooden block material used below. He then rushed forward, shooting up a pillar below his feet, attempting to leap out to them, wooden corkscrews forming in midair from the big old cubes below to slow his descent. "Don't leave me behind." About to land, all the material used became one with his baton on his back, making it a two-handed utensil now.

As they approached shore the sirens from the officers lit up and they trained their weapons on them, A loud voice came over the intercom from the beach, "Stop right there! don't move any closer to the shoreline or you will be shot!" Allen floated up above the boat, "We mean you all no harm! We are victims...We were captured by Vitus...Manged to escape before they could mind control us..." A man in a black suit stepped out in front of the police, he had a bull horn, "Dr Allen Willows...Nice to see you're still around...We have some questions for you and everyone on board."

Jack stood in front of the others, while also not trying to draw attention to himself while Allen was talking. He didn't want to risk the lives of the youngsters and also didn't want to get in the way of Allen, while he was speaking with the man with the black suit. From their short conversation, he figured that they would not be hostile enough to shoot them down and that relaxed him a bit. He also considered that him being there would also ease them, considering his status.

"Well, I am not a respected scientist, but being a billionaire gambler-celebrity will give us some more air to breathe, I assume..." he thought.

Then it occured to him. He was a billionaire. Allen was a scientist. A crazy idea crossed his mind, but he would have to tell Allen and the others later, away from people. He changed his thought pattern when he turned to check the others and finally noticing some kind of beast on the boat. With the lack of knowledge on what happened during he was out, Jack thought that it was another human with some kind of transformation powers, so he didn't panic. He decided to just turn to the people before him and wait for Allen to finish the introductory part of the conversation.

Al was still lying down on the boat but he heard everything that was being said. He hated suits with a passionand wanted to laugh when they said they would shoot at them. Hell if he wanted he could set the whole lot of them on fire. This was the exact reason why he wasn't speaking in the first place.

The beast bared his teeth challenging the other humans to do something. As far as he could tell they weren't like the ones he was with and he doubted they had anything to kill him with.

Sky didn't want to seem weak by hiding, but she wasn't going to jeopardize their safety by opening her mouth an saying something stupid. Sensing the creature beside her having a similar feel towards those on the shore, she placed a hand on his side. "They aren't worth the effort of shooting, let alone sending you after them. Lay down and relax, you deserve it." She ruffled the fur on the beast's head, like one would with the hair of a child, as if he were no different than a house pet.

Allen raised an eyebrow, "As you can see..." He floated up above the boat and started glowing slightly, "The lot of us are test subjects given special abilities by Vitus science..." The voice on shore called back out, "Well Dr Willows...We all saw the crash...Do you have any signs of anything infectious?" Allen smiled, "If we did...Agent Carter we don't now...I have been given something very special indeed...Most of us were weaponized...while others of us were given tactical abilities...From what I could gather through my interrogation and destruction of a Vitus Scientist...The powers we have all gained were at random..." The voice on shore called out again, "Dr Willows you and your Companions are going to have to be quarantined...But I'll allow you to be the one to do the testing...Dock your boat." Allen pushed the boat onto shore and a bunch of Black s.u.v.s rolled out onto the beach and a man with swept back blond hair stepped out, "Good morning Doctor..." Allen floated over and shook his hand, "Where are we going carter?" The agent looked to the people on the boat, "Somewhere safe...Sector three."

Sky probably would have been alright had the agent Carter guy been a little more delicate with the situation, but his choice in words had been poor. 'Quarantine' and 'testing' bounced around her head, echoing as they pushed out on her skull. "No." She whimpered under her breath, trying to control the trembling in her hands. "They'll turn us into lab rats, like the Vitus did." Her hands clamped down into fists tight enough for her nails to draw blood. "Can't you see what this guy has done? All he wants is to poke and prod us, that's why he was so confident in bringing us to shore. He doesn't want to help anyone but himself!" Sky's body had new energy that was not her own, fueling her rage. A few speakers close to her produced a sound that worked much like nails on chalkboard, white noise amplified with the girl's terror. "I just want to go home... Let me go home." Her voice was thick with tears that she refused to let fall, her mind racing a mile a minute. They really just want to do the same thing those Vitus scum wanted to do. They'll study us, wash away whatever human is left of us. Only these guys will label us dangerous and kill us off when they're done. "I'll kill you all before I let you anywhere near me. You are no better than those vermin that did this to me, and I will treat you as such if you so much as dare take one step towards this boat." The trembling in Sky's hands stopped as she looked up and directly out at Agent Carter and the Dr. Willows man.

Allen's skin slowly dissolved as he turned into a glowing form of pure nuclear destruction. He then with a flick of his wrist destroyed the speakers, "Miss...I am just as much a victim of this as you...but let me make this very clear...threatening government officials on live t.v. makes us enemies of the state...that means we will be hunted by the military and treated as terrorists." Allen started heating up, "The last memory i have before we were taken is of my wife being in the hospital...and me getting a call that she flatlined...I don't even know if shes Alive...but if she is...You will not jeopardize me seeing her again...am I clear?" Agent carter stepped forward, "lets all relax...When i say quarantined I mean in a very nice facility so we can make sure you don't have any alien viruses...The Vitus aren't above chemical warfare and keeping an outbreak from happening to the american people...You are an american citizen and you have rights Miss Sky...I haven't forgotten that nor have the american people...And the reason i asked Dr Willows to do the testing is because hes a victim like you and i thought it might make you all a bit more comfortable." Carter pointed to the shore where thousands of citizens were lined up watching all of this. "All of these people are witnesses...Do you really think the government can cover this up...Right now all we want to do is make sure you and your group aren't recaptured by Vitus recon." Carter pointed to Allen, "I used to work with Dr Willows and his wife on a project know as Astraus, it was a revolutionary idea to invent a serum that made people impervious to Nuclear radiation...There by ending The Nuclear war threat. Thats how we know each other... " He breathed out slowly, "I am not forcing you to do anything...You can choose to not go with us...But let me remind you...The Vitus are still looking for you...You would spend the rest of your life running...I'm offering you asylum."

((NAME SWITCH BECAUSE I'M STOOOPID))

Jade crossed her arms across her chest and tilted her head slightly to one side. "You think I give a rat's ass about your wife? Even if she is alive, what makes you think she'd want a freak like you returning home?" Her wicked glare turned back to the agent with unnerving calm, a smile curling just the edged of her lips. "I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't address me by that sniveling baby's name, call me Jade." She allowed her arms to fall down to her sides as she hopped up onto the edge of the boat, balancing as she addressed everyone in sight. "You see this before you? It's why you humans are losing this war, you're too soft. For all you know that doctor could be controlled from another Vitus ship, just waiting for you to let your guard down as you are right now. How am I supposed to believe that you are offering me anything safer than me on my own two feet?" Lightly she jumped down onto the sand, striding deliberately toward the Dr. "I'll play along with this little 'rights' act but don't think I'm going to let you play mad scientist. You so much as try and draw blood from Sky's arm, I'll turn your brain to jelly." She hissed, spinning around and calling the beast to her side.

Rowan nodded. "I can stand up on my own. I don't need to run anymore. I may not remember my home state, or if I'm even a citizen of this country, but I can handle myself just fine." He started to look away from Carter, as if no longer acknowledging him. Rowan flipped up his hood, as if to try and shield his face from views from the side. He sighed, nodding to Sky. "I met you... about ten minutes ago. But I understand you really well. When the chips are down, I'll be locked in a lab again, under watch by a -new- freak with a pen and a pad." He then curled up on the edge of the boat in fetal position, gritting his teeth. He shivered a wee bit, trying to form a wooden dome around himself on the boat.

Jack was a witness to the whole upset. Actually, he was not fond of the "quarantine" proposition either, no matter how good this guy Carter made it to be. However, the situation at hand was a bit escalated, with Allen being a little too aggresive towards a pretty violent Sky...or Jade, he wasn't sure what was with the name change either. He tried processing some ideas and come up with a good enough solution to ease the situation. Then he said:

"Mister Carter, I am Jack Spades. I am also a victim of Vitus' experiments and, with all due respect, the word "quarantine" doesn't go well with my current vocabulary. Although I can see the nescessity of us being examined, I would like to make a counter offer. Considering we spent most of our time in the ship together, it is safe to assume that if one of us had something infectious, then all of us would. So, I believe that we should be a little more mautre and rational and think that despite being superpowered escapees from an alien spaceship, we are still human and as you can see, there are people among us that are too young to experience lab testing. So, instead of possibly scarring Sky's-or Jade's-I quite missed that part, Al's and Rowan's mind with the image of more lab testing, how about you take me and Allen, or Dr. Willows if you prefer, to see whatever you want to see and let them go home? Of course, you will provide the children with a cellphone or another communication device, so if something happens, I can get to them immediately. Is that good enough?"

He also turned to Sky/Jade for a brief moment, adding with a warm smile:

"Is that ok for you, mademoiselle?"

Jade ran her hand through the beast's fur as she looked out towards Jack while he gave his solution to their problem. To her it didn't seem half bad, it meant she wouldn't have to continuously look after Sky. "Cute and smart, what a combination." She looked him over then shrugged. "I couldn't care less but seeing as you'll probably be dealing with the cry baby... Works for me." Glancing over at the agent, Jade started to ignore the doctor's existence all together. "What say you, boss man." Her voice as thick with sarcastic compliance, her smile less than honest.
