[IC] The Supernovas

Jason saw the woman levitate and ran towards her, moving faster than he personally ever had as her wind blades came at him. He managed to dodge most of them, butone opened up a cut on his not robotic arm. The boy jumped up and superman punched the woman in the face, hard enough to certainly break her nose and knock some teeth out.

"First things first...if I am getting out of here, I am doing so in style..." he Jack replied to the General.

As if the General expected that answer, a soldier came in carrying a suit. Jack noticed he wasn't so happy, carrying on a civilian's clothes, while he was an experienced soldier, deducing from the few bullet wounds he could notice from the inside of his uniform. But he decided not to say anything to the unfortunate soldier, in regard of hurting his pride. Instead, he accepted the suit and simply smiled to the private. He checked the suit from top to bottom.

"Italian brand, certainly suits my tastes...I assume that there is no need for me to check for a bug in the suit, since if you were considerate enough to find out about my clothing tastes, you would have also checked that I would be thinking about checking the suit, so I assume it's clear. Now..." he said and paused, to change clothes.

He wore the suit, necktie and shoes and put his hands in the pockets to find, to his surprise, decks of cards. In the pocket at his chest was also his Jack of Spades card, to his relief.

With a swift motion, he lightly licked his hand and fixed his hair. The only thing that was amiss from his usual gentlemanly figure was the fact that he was unshaved, a thing he would take care of as soon as he got home. He then shook the General's hand and continued his phrase:

"Now, Mr. Stone, I think I am ready to take up your offer. But if we are going to take the fight to the Vitus, we are doing so seperately. Please assign your female agent to watching my team, she will also serve as the connection between me and you. I am returning home with my team and I am going to ask for some equipment eventually, but I am sure I can count on you for that. Well then, seeing as that is cleared, I am expecting you to call your boys off, while I am going to do the same with mine."

Then he left the room and rushed to the place where he heard the sounds of the fight that had broken out. He saw most of the soldiers backing off, apparently from the General's orders, but the female agent was literally single-handedly beating the members of the team, except from Jason, who was showing some promise against his opponent who surprisingly also had superpowers. Jack thought that she probably could not receive the order because of the noises of the battle.

"Well, what do you know..." he said with an almost surprised expression "...now, let's see if my little upgrade can calm down both sides."

He threw a card surrounded with a yellow aura instead of the usual red one, that, upon contact with the air gusts the girl produced, exploded, but instead of doing damage, it acted like a flashbang, blinding and deafening everyone inside the radius of the blast. The word "interesting" could be heard from Jack, but only to someone like Sky, due to the extremely low tone he said it. Jack stepped between the two sides, the girl and his team and said:

"I didn't expect you to throw a party without me, how incosiderate of you...by the way, you should try to get along better with your new roommate, the Wind-Girl here is most probably going to live with us from now on, so try and be nice to her!"

Al picked himself up and held his head. The agent girl had threw him into that door hard and he as still feeling the pain off it. "Before he could start swinging fire back at her Jack came in and thrown a card, he wished it was like his normal explosive ones because this was awful. He was back on the ground and he couldn't even hear what Jack was saying.

At the point that he card went off, Jason has been just landing his superman punch. So he hit the ground and rolled holding his ears from the sound. The woman fell backwards with a newly broken nose and some hipped teeth to show for her fight with Jason

Rubbing the spots from her eyes, Sky scowled in Jack's direction. "Whose side are you on?" Having a heightened sense of hearing caused the blast of Jack's new card to be extremely painful but unhampering of her ability to make out her surroundings. With the world as back into focus as it was going to et in that moment, Sky turned to the woman on the floor with a look of distaste. "You are aware this 'Wind-Girl' is the one leading the soldiers around that tried to kill us, right?" She winced as the throbbing in her head spiked momentarily before dulling down to the throb once more. "I've got a massive headache now because of her, I should at least get to return the favor." Crossing her arms she leaned back against the wall in an irritated fashion, taking a moment to look around at her surroundings. "Can we leave yet? They've had us since we escaped from the Vitus ship, I have people I need to call."

"Nice to see you too Sky..." Jack said in sarcasm, but all in good spirit and messed her hair.

He walked to Al and offered a helping hand, figuring that the new ability Jack used was at least going to cause a serious loss of balance due to the extreme sound. Luckily for him, he was protected from his own powers.

"Come on Al, you' ve had tougher situations to deal with than me playing with a big firework! By the way, where is Allen? I remember he returned to the cemetery, so he should be around here..." he said, while waiting for Al to get his hand.

While waiting, he turned to Sky again, who asked if they were returning home.

"I've managed to reason with the head here, who seemed to understand that our value is worth more than keeping us here in a cell. Be patient and I promise you that in a few hours you can make all the calls you like, while tasting my secret spaghetti recipe!" he replied and turned to Jason "Nice fight there, Jason, although you should never hit a woman, it makes men look bad. Be a gentleman, or, trust me when I say that you are going to have some tough luck with women and, God, you don't want that."

Finally, he turned to the female agent and said to her before she could get up:

"Before you go up against us again, which is something that I really don't want to happen, mainly because you would most probably shred my in seconds, contact your superior. He will tell you that we have come to an agreement. Oh, and as much as you may not like it, he might order you to live with us. It was an offer I gave him and, judging from the fact that he trusts you, he will tell you to keep an eye on us to keep us in check. By the way, if he does tell you to follow us, please wear something civilian-looking. You can't come along with a soldier's outfit mademoiselle......" he paused for a second and continued ".......what is your name by the way?'

"She tried to kill an ally. I will attack anybody hurting my allies. If she had been non-violent, or we had deserved it. It would have been a different story." He said before turning away and towards Sky, who looked like the flashbang had really affected her. He walked over to the girl and looked her over. "Are you okay?" He said simply.

Allen stepped out of his cell and brushed the dust off his white lab coat, "Well then gentlemen..." Allen started glowing red and cleaned the dust from him, "I do believe if thatsthe case and we are being given a watch dog then that means we are free to go?" Allen smileda bit still hurting deeply from the newsof Carson's death, "Hey agent...Where did they bury my friend?"

Sky raised an eyebrow at her hair being messed with but remained silent and instead leaned her back up against a nearby wall. "Yes, but using your extraterrestrial gifts to knock her around is much better." She chuckled with a sigh at the double standard, glancing around at each of the faces. Among them were two faces she did not recognize, one of which approached her. Glancing at him warily, Sky nodded. "Yeah, fine. Use of my power apparently results in massive headaches and sensitivity to sound. This was like having your music blasted on full while wearing headphones. I'll be okay in the long run." Her voice had taken on an informative tone, as if she weren't really having a conversation but spewing information like a computer. It however shifted as she stared at Jason's face for a moment longer. "I'm sorry... I feel like I've met you before but I can't remember who you are. You didn't escape the ship with our group did you?" Mentally she kicked herself for the amount of time she had been unconscious. It was a massive blank space that freaked her out every time she thought about it.

"I escaped after your group and shadowed all of you up to the mansion where I was discovered. I went with the group after the guy going nuclear, and was captured. Anyways, I don't think I ever got your name, and it would be nice to not have to say 'girl!' Everytime I wanted your attention. My name is Jason, by the way." He says with a small smirk. Satisfied that the girl is not hurt.

"Mansion?" Sky said questioningly, her right eyebrow raised in her confusion. "We didn't come here first?" She glanced over at the woman the group had been quarrelling with before thinking better of her actions, and instead turned her gaze toward Jack. "Jack, if you have a minute can I speak to you... Privately." The expression she wore in that instant was blank as if every emotion she was capable of had gone numb, her mind elsewhere even as she spoke. It only lasted a moment though before her teeth sank into the flesh of her bottom lip, pushing away from the wall to walk back the way she had arrived. She didn't have a destination in mind, she was just going to walk in that direction until she was away from the woman who attacked them.

Seeing as Al was still dizzy from his previous attack, Jack took back his hand and instead walked to Sky. He took Sky to one of the empty cells they were kept and closed the door behind them, after taking care of closing the small window from which the guards were keeping an eye of them. After inspecting the room closely, he found the secret cameras in it, taking out any wires that were connected to them to turn off the mics they were equipped with.

"How stupid of me...I could have used the cameras to escape my cell before. They were inorganic..." he thought and faintly laughed.

After making sure that no one could listen to them he said:

"We can talk freely now, dear. No one from inside or outside the cell is listening to us. If it makes you feel more comfortable you can also use your powers to contain the voices. Now tell me, what is bothering you? You seem uneasy."

As the souns of a teenage girl yelling drifted through the facility, and upon hearing this Jason spun towards the sound and began to run. As he sprinted down the halls, shoving the military men and women out of his way as he ran. Soon he arrived at a cell, where a girl about Jason's age sat on her knees in front of her cell bars. Without hesitating, Jason tore the bars open, where the girl slowly stood before hugging the boy tightly, crying as she held him. Soon after, Jason led the girl back towards the group.

Lizzy's eyes were wide as she followed Jason down the hall. She was scared, she had been seeing and hearing people she knew were dead. What kind of freak had she become after the aliens got her? Then she had thought her brother was gone, now she was following him down the hall.

Sky waited while Jack removed and disabled everything in the room that would allow the government people to listen in, adding her own touch as mentioned by her friend. "I am uneasy. None of this makes any sense, the stories aren't matching up with what I remember. The last thing I remember is arriving on the beach before waking up in one of these cells. I figured they went ahead with their plans for quarantining us but according to that Jason guy, we were at a mansion at one point. Did something happen while I was out? I can't help feeling that I'm missing something." As strong as she was becoming, the pain her abilities brought to her was starting to show on her face, a jolt of pain through her head causing her grip on her powers to falter and fail. "I've just woken up and I'm already exhausted. The side effects of this power aren't pleasant at all."

Jack was aware that Sky had a double personality, but he was unsure if she knew about it, despite her other self telling him not to mention anything to her. Sky's symptoms, however, were very obvious and he couldn't come up with a good excuse to explain to her why she has them. He knew that he couldn't talk to her about another personality, in fear that by revealing something like this, along with her exhaustion and mental pressure her powers gave her, it could cause some serious damage to her mental health. On the other hand, he couldn't explain memory loss, fatigue and exhaustion without a plausible story. He remained silent, until he could find a good answer to her question. Besides, that was what Jade asked too and odds were that she wouldn't want Sky to damage the body they shared, so she would have a reason for asking that.

"Come on, Jack, be resourceful...Sky's health is on the line here. Find something that sounds reasonab...Wait a moment! Sounds, sound...That's it!!" Jack though.

He put his hands on Sky's shoulders and looked her directly in her eyes, to amplify his persuasion.

"I thought that it would be better to keep you uninformed about this, until we figured out a solution. Truth is, Sky, that you indeed fell asleep after us escaping the ship. The events that followed are true, we weren't quarantined immediately after our escape and we did go to a mansion, my mansion. But, in your case, while you were not conscious, your subconsciously used your powers to interact with those around you. It seems like your sound abilities amplify your sensitiveness to your surroundings, making you capable of both interacting with other people and navigating through your environment. I recall you are aware of both of your abilities, since you have already experienced them. I believe that after you get a hang of your powers, you will control them in a degree that doesn't produce this kind of side-effects." Jack replied, without giving any visual sign of lying.

He then thought that the others couldn't possibly come up with the exact same story, so he continued in a joking tone:

"By the way, you were sleeptalking, sometimes not making sense. You called me Bob once and I kinda felt like a truck-driver on a highway, listening to country music. You even gave yourself another name once. So don't think too deeply if somebody calls you Jade or something similar. He will be teasing you!"

Al grumbled some more as he picked himself up. "Jack if you ever do something like that again, I'll throw something at you capiche?" By the time his vision had returned Jack was already gone and grumbled again that he didn't even wait for him to get up. He found himself alone with Jason and some new girl. She didn't look military. He walked over to the two still holding his bruised arm. "Whose she?"

Behemoth bounded over to Sky and made a odd sound that seemed to be a mix between a purr and a growl.

The agent spit out the blood and tooth Jason had knocked out when he hit her with that damn metal arm of his. Now he hated her position even more being forced to worked with the people she had been treating as enemies especially the doctor who was now trying to get her to giver the location of Agent Carson s body. "I'm not allowed nor do I want to give you that information." Even she was suppoe to be working with them it didn't mean she had to like it.

"My twin sister. Who judging by the fact her cell was still locked, they were planning to keep caged and not tell us." Jason growled. Turning his attention to the woman. "You better make sure that none of hese people touch a hair on my sister again, or I swear I will kill each person responsible. Starting with you." He growled. Though he felt a firm hand on his arm.

"Jason. Stop. Please. I don't need you protecting me all the time." She said in a soft, and shy voice. She then turned towards Al. "I-I'm Elizabeth, but call me Lizzy. Wh-who are you?" She askes shyly. Her brother obviously did not feel threatened by this person, so Lizzy assumed that he was on their side.

Allen's eyes started to glow with energy as annoyance overtook him, "Let me make this clear Agent...Carson was a family friend...he was there when my wife fell ill and he was there at the bar with me when I crashed my car and was picked up by the Vitus..." His body let off a light red glow, "I wan't to pay my last respects to a wonderful man..." He stopped glowing completely letting real remorse show through, "A man I should have died for...Please."
