Heloise grinned, "Awesome!" She said, "did you get called cute to by that girl?" She asked as she untied Gallant's reins, holding them in hand. She had already checked his saddle bags and found everything there. "I'm already half in love with this guild"

She smiled, stroking Gallant's nose, and the horse snorted, clearly eager to be off. He gave a few impatient steps, and Heloise whispered to him that they would have a stable soon enough.

“Yeah, I was, I think she was just messing with us or something. I mean, not that I’m not saying you aren’t cute, I mean you are, but yeah,” Solan wasn’t sure what she was getting at and waved it off. “Never mind, anyway, shall we go? Didn’t you mention something about a stable for your horse?” The Valkyrie looked with interest at said horse, having read about them, but never seen one up close.

“There may be one nearby; I mean I’m sure others in the guild having animals for transportation. After that, wanna check out some of the shops?”

"yes, I'd like to see Gallant into a stable and cared for, then I'm happy to check out some shops" Heloise said with a smile, starting off, they soon found a stable. Heloise bargained with the worker, getting a suitable price for Gallant, saying she'd be back later to care for him herself, if he could just be rubbed down a bit and fed.

Still, it took up most of her remaining money and she sighed, "Well, lets go look at the shops!" She said

Loque dipped his quill in its inkwell and proceeded to finish his contract, he smiled lookimg down at it and looked towards a servant who held the wax. Loque stared at the boy until he understood that Loque was waitimg om him. The boy brought the wax over and heated it using a nearby candle, the hot black wax fell on the paper and Loque pressed his sigil into it with his ring. He pulled his hand up and looked at the howling wolf face pressed into the wax as it hardened. He handed it to his servant and waved him off, the boy hurried off to deliver the contract to a goods transporter that Loque entended to hire. He stood from his chair and turned around facing the ocean behind him, he looked out at the sea and breathed in the salty air. He turned and walked to his wardrobe, he opened the doors and threw on his black robes and then strapped his sword to his side. He walked out of his chambers and down the hall to a spiralling stairway, he made his way to the bottom of the stairs and saw two of his hired guards he passed them and waved a hand over his shoulder and heard there armored footsteps follow close behind him. He made his way to the stables and climbed into his carriage, he pulled back the curtain and spoke to his driver.

"Take me to the estate of Lord Axeus," Loque said. He felt the carriage leap forward and relaxed, he placed a hand on his forehead and an elbow on a railing in the carriage. He thought about what else to do with his day, perhaps visit a brothel maybe drink himself half to death, practice archery while drunk, get a servant to hold an apple in their mouth. He smiled at the thought and let his mind wander for the rest of the ride, after some time the carriage halted and Loque stepped out. He was recieved by a young woman, quite beutiful and well filled out, he recognized her as the eldest daughter of Lord Axeus.

"Hello Lord Sevanthian," she said with curtsey, "What brings you to my fathers estate?"

"Lia, a pleasure to see you once more," Loque said placing one hand on the small of his back and one on his lower abdomen, then he bowed. He extended an arm and she took it, he let her lead him inside.

"I come partially to see your beuty and to discuss business with your father," he said with a smile walking alongside her into the parlor, she released his arm and sat. He sat across from her and relaxed in his chair while keeping his posture, the two of them chatted for good time until finally a fat bearded man walked in and let out a large laugh. Loque stood and shook his hand, the two of them smiled and walked away towards Lord Axeus's office. The two of them sat and conversed over idle things, many times the idea of a coup came up but Axeus shot it down and Loque shut up. The two kept talking until both grew bored, Loque stood and shook his friends hand, he walked out of the office and back out to his carriage. He stepped into his carriage and heard a womans voice call out to him, he spun around and saw no one but his guards. He shook his head then climbed into his carriage.

"To the home of the guild," Loque said to his driver " I wish to speak with their leader."

Solan looked around with high interest at the sight that is Sersia. She’s never seen so many humans in one place before, or the other races for that matter. It was certainly a lot to take in. She spotted a decent looking shop and immediately wandered inside.

There were many knickknacks, some including supplies which she was looking for, and also magical items Solan wasn’t too sure about. She fiddled with a few of them, but felt the stare of the owner of the store and gently put them down. She collected what she thought would be suitable for quests, such as bandages, some food, and a handful of other items. Solan deemed what she picked up to be enough and took them to the counter. The owner looked at her then the items she picked out.

“Three hundred,” He said curtly.

“E-excuse me? Three hundred?” Solan repeated, rather baffled at the price.

“Three hundred,” he said again, more firmly than the first time.

Solan nodded, undoing the buttons to one of her many pouches on her belt. She froze in place, realizing she didn’t have any form of currency to put her name to.
“You going to pay or what?” The store owner asked impatiently, his tone sounding annoyed.

“Well, uh, you see,” she fiddled with her hands embarrassedly, “where I come from, we don’t use money, but instead trade goods.”

“So you got anything to trade?”

Solan’s face reddened as she shook her head, “No, sorry. I’ll put the items back.” She turned and began to do so before the store owner stopped her.

“Wait, young lady, I got a deal I can make with you.” Solan perked at his words, and waited for him to continue. “You’re a Valkyrie, yes?”

She nodded, not sure where he was going.

“Give me some feathers.”

“You want some feathers? Why?” She asked, not too sure what he would want them for.

“There’s an old myth that carrying feathers of a Valkyrie will prolong death. So if you give me a few, you can keep the goods you picked out, we got a deal?” He extended a hand, and Solan used what she learned from Heloise to shake it, figuring it was some sort of agreement rather than a greeting this time.

She unfurled one of her wings so it was in front of her, she plucked a few, wincing slightly as she did so. She had a feeling that flight feathers would have been worth more, but there was nothing she can do, having mostly downy ones. She shrugged to herself at this thought, and handed them to the store owner.

“Alrighty, come again!”

Heloise waited for Solan to come out the store, having very little money left. She supposed she would have to go on a job soon to get some money, so she could at least keep Gallant in his stable, and have a room for herself as well. She wondered if she could sleep on the floor of the guild hall tonight.

Her stomach rumbled loudly, causing a little girl running past her to pause and give her a funny look. She appeared grubby, her clothes torn slightly, and as thin as a stick, as the saying went in any case "I bet you are as hungry as I am" Heloise said to her, "I have some coin, and a growing girl needs food" She took the few measly coins out of her pocket, and held it out to the girl. The girl, fearing it was a trap, approached her carefully, then snatched the coins from Heloise's hand and fled down the street.

Heloise remembered what it was to be like that, so she didn't mind. Besides, she could always go and hunt herself some food with her bow and arrows. Heloise sighed, and turned back to the shop, thinking she probably looked as bad as the girl did, minus the torn clothes. Dirty, dusty, and travel worn Heloise surprised she had even made a good impression to the master.

She sighed once more, watching Solan interact with the shop keeper, and pull out some of her feathers. Heloise frowned, wondering why she would do that, until Solan handed them to the shop keeper. Well, that was a good idea. Some people were superstitious, and liked to have their little good luck charms.
