"Getting in my way is a one way ticket to defeat. Heh."
Name: Adrian Trenric Title: The Magician Slayer Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: Human Class Bladed Soul Height: 155 cm Weight: 53 kg Hair Color: Red Eye Color: Amber Skin-tone: Fair
Clothes: Usually sporting a blue combat outfit with pants for on the go travel. Often keeps his hair into a ponytail for combat purposes. Finally, he keeps a leather strap on his pack to store his massive blade, the Braever.
Quirks: Has a bad habit of walking with his arms crossed behind his head. Furthermore, he has a verbal tic of ending sentences with the phrase, “Heh”.
Likes: Strawberry smoothies, testing out his skills on stronger opponents, cute girls.
Dislikes: Overtly complicated plans and names, things beyond his comprehension, those with great power who don’t do anything with it.
Personality: A hot-steadied warrior that is always prepared to fight against those who harm his friends or his home. While some may accuse him for dwelling too much into the "power of friendship", he's at least savvy enough to understand that one doesn't win battles alone. Unless of course they're some kind of overpowered deity or something. Which as far as he knows, he is most definitely not.
Much like any Shonen protagonist with a sword bigger than their attention span, he tends to be a little too hot-headed at moments. He has a great distaste for those with great power and often seeks to surpass them just to prove that they're not what they claim to be. Unfortunately this kind of behavior makes him arrogant and ending up with more than a few bruises and wounds.
Thankfully what we he lacks smarts and cunning, he more than makes up for with a determined will and unshakable loyalty to his friends. Because without something to protect, what's the point of fighting? That, and once again, it's best to fight with some teammates on your side.
History: The land of Grimdag being a realm of peace is something lost upon Adrian. What he remembers is a world constantly turmoiled by the appearance of monsters and demons. And while although things aren't as bad as the Dark Times of the past, one must still now how to wield a weapon if they are to survive in this world. Adrian thus travels the land of Grimdag to not only become a great warrior, but to also search for a way to put an end to the invasion and keep his home in peace once and for all.
Relationships: Much like the rest of his companions, he generally gets along with them though he can be too trigger happy when it comes to either showing off or getting in the last blow. Although he can sometimes be flirtatious with the more feminine members of his teammates (that damn trap doesn't count) he may or may not have a crush on Stela. Cause drama.
Powers: Adrian lacks a true element of sorts, and so has put all of his skills into being a profound swordsman. This in itself is ironic since his sword possesses the ability to incorporate elements and powers, but he cannot summon these powers on his own. Thus, he is heavily reliant on magical gems and whatnot to apply their materials into his sword. Though if he tries to enhance his blade without magic, the sword will simply emit a light aura that will increase its durability and cutting edge for a short amount of time.
Even so, his lack of a true element gives him a greater ability to fight those who do possess high amounts of magical talent. Thus, his natural aura allows him to survive most attacks that would prove fatal. This makes him the ideal first contender on the front lines. Finally, he is able to see other people's aura, giving him slightly better insight on the individual.
Weapons: A massive sword by the name of Braever, it was a blade hand-crafted by Adrian's family line with the intent of aiding the user against those with magical prowess. It is because of this blade's special properties that Adrian has earned the nickname, "Magician Slayer". Its main ability is disrupting the flow of magic wherever it cuts as well as absorbing the properties of elements when in contact with them, giving the blade more versatility in combat.
Equipment: A packet of magical gems and stones he keeps on hand to imbue into his sword. Apart from that, he also possesses some marbles for passing the time and about a few coins. Just in case anyone needs some spare change.
Name: Clair Osmond Age: 19 Gender: Female Race: Human Height: 5'4 Weight: 127 lb Blood Type: A- Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Affiliation: Herself Aliases/Titles:Blind Bullet Personality: A cold girl who relishes in shredding about the flesh and bone of her enemies. Clair Osmond is, in all likelihood, mad to the core. Even to her fellow mercenaries, she spares no expenses in being a cruel and sadistic fuck. Because why not be sick in both mind and method when all things are meant for the sake of the art?
Clair treats her occupation and actions as strokes of fine taste that of which is to be appreciated on all levels. It’s not surprising that all find her to be haughty and condescending a good amount of the time. She’s selfish, rude, and quite possibly rich as well. But unlike most rich brats in this time and age, Clair has the guts and the guns to back up her claims with death.
When in combat, Clair knows enough not to get arrogant, especially in the heat of a firefight. Behind the nuzzle of her rifle, all demeaning comments are replaced with the cold regards of a killer and the sound of gunshots. She seems to hold an apathetic view towards human in general, finding no meaning in death and loss, not even the thrill of sport.
The only person Clair will willingly give a rise to is her partner in crime, Roxanne Fury. To this day, Clair is still indecisive if killing her would truly ensure she shut up permanently. Nevertheless, she does hold some value to Roxy’s life, which is considerably more than she shows to anyone else.
Background: For someone as skilled and despised as her, surprisingly little is actually known about Clair. It is public information that she was a late heir to the Osmond family name, a rich clan of traditional hermits stuck in the ways of oil and blood money. It is also known publicly that she left her life of luxury one day after finally murdering a poor servant who had replaced her morning tea with apple cider on accident.
But whether she committed the act of sheer spite or some ulterior motive has never been verified. Now she’s a menace and a pariah, both to society as a whole and her family. Sometime ago, she came into contact with fellow mercenary, Roxanne Fury. Since that time, the two have been traveling together on a murdering spree. The reason why has yet to be seen, as the two seemingly can’t stand each other.
Skills:
-Expert sniper skills -Hand-to-hand combat strategist -Able to wield a blade, via reverse grip -Knowledge of pickpocketing -Almost always knows the time
Weapons: A PGM Hécate II sniping rifle. Also carries two serrated knives on her at all times.
Equipment: -Cellphone -Spare eye-patches -Several packs of gum -Cyanide capsules -Two packets of cigarettes
Personality: How does one describe Mai Mayumi? To the people around her, she’s known as a constant delinquent that causes nothing but trouble. To her small number of friends, she can either be an avenger against bullies and a protector of the weak, or your worst nightmare.
Mai grew up in a household that steeped and emerged her entire being into justice, and so continues to punish those who torture the weak and defenseless today. Even so, it usually doesn’t take much to piss off Mai anyway, and those who do end up with a fist to the face and several other parts of the human body. Mai is a fighter to the end, being a semi-expert in hand-to-hand combat with no formal training, only the knowledge and experiences she’s had on the streets. More often than not, Mai lets her fists do the talking for her and can appear naïve at times, making her vulnerable in diplomatic situations and unable to compromise anything without losing her cool and punching something. Her violent exterior however conceals a soul who only seeks to live in the moment and enjoy life.
Mai is also known for her foul mouth and nature for delivering stinging insults to those who challenge her. She hates the idea of anything controlling her without consent, and will not hesitate to teach them a lesson if need be.
History: Mai Mayumi, or “M&M” as affectionately known by her peers, considers herself a devout fighter of justice. Therefore, every battle scar, broken nose, bloodied eye, and won battle is all in the name of the righteous. With her father once known as a well-renowned lawyer, Mai often takes the path she believes to be right. Unfortunately, these paths usually lead her into fights on the street and in school.
This rather simple lifestyle would soon end on a dark and fateful night. Relatively young at the time, Mai’s entire family was slaughtered due to the mysterious power they had controlled as a Clan: the power to tame and unleash the destructive nature of fire itself. What’s worse, Mai was the only one spared to live, the price of which resulting in her being horribly burned on one whole half of her body.
That was years ago. As of recent events, Mai is now a makeshift assassin of sorts working for a small organization called Interpol. It was this same company that took her in after the tragedy that befell her family. Currently, she’s been assigned to protect a girl that could potentially tip the balance of power against all enemies, even the world. Even so, Mai sees this task as simply another step in hunting down the bastard that burned her family as well as her older sister who helped him.
Skills:
- Versatile hand to hand fighter
- Expert climber
-Can control fire due to her Clan’s nature
- Can ride a motorcycle
Weapons:
-Her bare fists
Equipment:
-A plethora of eye-patches and bandages
-A lighter that doesn’t work but can produce small sparks
Name: Akame Natsuko Age: 16 Affiliation: The Hero Brigade Wish:"I wish to be cool just like my big sister!" Soul Gem Color: Crimson
Powers: Akame’s magic is not as flashy or as extravagant as her fellow Magical Girls, which bears in part some irony given her wish. But these are only her private thoughts on the matter as her peers are often left baffled by the nature and manifestation of her powers. Akame sacrifices magical prowess in exchange for an incredibly enhanced physique, bolstering up her strength, endurance, speed, and durability all around.
Secondly, she is followed around by a constant cloud of rose petals wherever she goes. She can use these petals as razor edged knives for projectiles or as bombs to detonate. The number of roses do not decrease as she fights, giving her an endless supply of projectiles in battle. Aside from this though and her increased physical nature, she is not able to use her magic for much else.
Weapon: Akame's weapon comes in the form of dual cutlasses each stained the color of blood. As her magic goes mostly into improving her physique, these blades hold no special nature to them aside from being regular swords. Even so, her drastic increase in speed and power more than make up for her lack of magic, giving her the edge to cut down foes before they can react accordingly.
Personality: Bright, bubbly, and cheery, Akame is the near-perfect poster girl of what a Magical Girl should be. She’s always there to support her teammates firsthand and will never back down in defending them. As such, it’s not hard to guess her actions sometimes as Akame will try to follow the morally correct path as much as she can, to the point of appearing naïve.
She does become self-conscious at her own nature however, always worrying if her personality can come across as annoying or off-putting. Even so, she is a firm believer in a positive mindset and will always put up a smile for others even if she doesn’t want to. She likes to think she’s come to terms with being a Magical Girl and if she’s going out, she’ll at least do it with a smile.
Bio: Not much can be said for Akame’s life before becoming a Magical Girl. In fact, she doesn’t remember much about those times aside from the fact that she was incredibly unhappy. Unhappy and bored. Always living in the shadow of her older sister, Akame felt she had to compete with her in some way to feel self-worth. The worst aspect was that she often agreed with what others said of her, Akame feeling like she was an inadequate sibling.
So when she found out her beloved older sister had become a Magical Girl, she jumped at the chance in a vain attempt to be brought to equal ground. The Contractor did not hesitate in granting her wish and gifting unto her new magical powers. And although her older sister greatly opposed this notion, the deed had been done. That was nearly two years ago.
These days Akame has grown a little smarter and aims to train new Magical Girls. Her relationship with her sister has admittedly grown more unstable in all this time but she made her choice a long time ago. Now she’s devoted her life to hunting down the Primordials of her precious Miso City and defending the future for those yet to come.
Or so she likes to think.

Name: Haku Asakura Age: 17 Affiliation: The Order Wish:"I wish to be faster. Faster than anyone else!" Soul Gem Color: Yellow
Powers: Haku’s power revolves around the control of electricity, specifically in the form of lightning. Out of battle she is able to utilize it through mundane means such as discharging the lights in an area for a short amount of time or giving her Magical Girl friends a static shock as a prank. Though her power truly shines in the thick of combat.
As a Magical Girl, Haku is able to bend and concentrate electrical power into bursts of energy or applying it to her spear in giving it a sharper edge. Though her strongest ability is seen through her usage of forcing electrical power to pass right through her and spike her own cells, giving her an enhanced physique in strength and speed. As such, she is considered the fastest Magical Girl alive, next to Akame herself.
Yet there are drawbacks to her powers for she can only manipulate that which already exists, unable to create her own electricity. Furthermore, her power to increase her physique puts great strain on her body. If used for too long, she runs the risk of burning out her own nerve endings, scorching them forever.
Weapon: Haku’s weapon of choice is a pronged spear that mainly serves as a conductor to her own electrical magic. As such, her main tactic is applying electricity to the weapon directly in order to give its blade an extra cutting edge. The spear will also crackle with sparks and outright shock others into submission, making it only usable by Haku.
Personality: Soft-spoken but certainly not one to be pushed around, Haku is often seen adjusting her glasses and coldly judging others from a distance. According to some, she used to be a lot more accepting before her days as a Magical Girl, but Haku neither confirms nor denies these notions. She would prefer to watch events unfold from an outside perspective, make her own conclusions, and then decide on the best course of action.
Regardless, there is one person who she is often shown to be open to and that is her fearless leader, Erika Natsuko. She holds nothing but respect and admiration for the other girl and is often annoyed by Akame’s idealistic ways or her ignorance behind the sacrifice of Erika’s actions. Even so, Haku fully realizes that the two sisters share a bond that she can never interfere in and often can’t help but hold resentful thoughts towards the both of them. Yet despite this, she shows undying loyalty to not only her team, but to Erika in particular.
Bio: Much like most Magical Girls, Haku’s life before being endowed with magical power was nothing short of average and normal. What can be noted from this is the fact that she holds the title of Miso High’s fastest female on the school track team. Yet there was a time when that title was often battled for, a rivalry forming between Haku and another girl.
Being the naïve youth she was, Haku foolishly made her wish when approached by the Contractor, the creature having sensed her magical potential and desire to win. What followed next were multiple championship victories but at the cost of her rival…and her best friend. Needless to say, Haku was never able to reconcile the views of jealousy her friend began to harbor upon her because she soon moved away to the neighboring residence of Mitakihara Town.
Shaken and realizing she had wished for something stupid, Haku began to regret the gifts given to her and even reject the Contractor’s will. When she heard that there were others like her, others who too sought to reverse their wishes, Haku clung to them desperately. Now she sees the Order as her own family, treating each girl as a fellow sister to despise the Contractor and the unfairness of the world.
Name: Sarai Katsuba Age: 14 Rank: Level 01 Legion: Blue Legion Dueling Avatar Name: Stark Zealot Brain Burst Installed/Burst Linker: Yes; he was granted Brain Burst through his Guardian,"Rise" Valkeyr.
Personality: As a Second Year in high school, Sarai’s main priorities in life amount to getting the best grades he can and generally just trying to survive. He’s often been described as someone who lacks any real goals in life but that’s not true. He has goals of course; those goals are just small for the time being. In his own words, “there’s nothing on the line” and no concern to worry.
Of course, all of this may change when he’s introduced to the world of Brain Burst. What happens then when he is forced to fight for what he believes in when he doesn’t know what those beliefs are? Only time will tell but for now all he has to worry about is not skipping that math test come next Friday morning.
Bio: Sarai can tell any First Year at Umesato Junior High School that putting one’s studies above all else is probably the best way to start the school career. That’s because that was exactly what Sarai didn’t do when he was a First Year. A whole year later and he’s grown a little more with maturation, knowing that one can’t waste all their time playing video games all day. That just doesn’t cut in the real world.
That being said, the introduction of Brain Burst just might change his mind about the whole subject. He’s always had an interest in fighting games particularly so when rumors of one that included real-life stakes and unbelievable rewards reached his ears, he had to know the true. Unbeknownst to him, someone else was already seeking him out…
Other: For some reason, Sarai's casual in-game Avatar is...buggy. That's the best way for him to describe it. On days with even numbers his Avatar will take the form of a male; likewise, during days ending with odd numbers he will take on the appearance of a female. This has caused much confusion in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
Name: Mary Anne Age: 16 Rank: Level 06 Legion: Unaligned-Metal Dueling Avatar Name: Lead Reaper Brain Burst Installed/Burst Linker: Yes, no one knows who her Guardian is. It’s speculated she was given Brain Burst by someone from her native land of Europe.
Personality: Mary is quite the interesting persona to all that happen to stumble upon her. She is soft-spoken and polite a good majority of the time; so much so in fact, that she often stresses the proper difference between a lady and a heathen to anyone caring to listen.
That being said, Mary’s favorite topic of discussion would have to be the many ways in which to incapacitate her foes. She’s the kind of person who would gladly explain to you when and how you’ll die over a cup of tea. She does not fear death, in fact having a mutual interest in the concept as a whole and like to dabble in “light fun” when it comes to the occult. Of course, that doesn’t excuse her rather…odd habits.
One such habit seems to be a fascination with eyes. Human eyes, insect eyes, animal eyes…really anything that moves around in the socket and blinks. Probably has something to do with her covered own eyes, though she’ll momentarily drop the regal air and proceed to go into something akin to a panic attack whenever she catches people staring at her. All in all, a weirdo.
Bio: Not much is really known about Mary, aside that she transferred to living in Japan from some place in Europe, though she hasn't said where from Europe exactly yet. Whether this was because of her parent’s work or some other reason is difficult to say as Mary doesn’t go off blurting her past to everyone she meets. Aside from that, she goes around living the life of an average student. Even if she is a bit of a weirdo.
Other: She has a bad track record when it comes to relationships, be it boys or girls. Apparently she'll become quite fond of one person, smitten even, only to drop them in a heartbeat later down the line. While she often plays the victim case, a good number of her former acquaintances will pin the blame on her rather...manic and eccentric personality.
"I am nothing. Yet, I am everything. And anything."
✧Name:Only known by fellow Court members and a select few. ✧Title:The Jester of the Court. ✧Age:Unknown; physically appears twenty-three. ✧Gender:Male. ✧Height:Whatever he wishes it to be. ✧Weight:Whatever he wishes it to be.
✧Personality:The man simply known as the Jester is shrouded in mystery and superstition. Indeed, only his fellow Court members know of his true goals and ambitions. He is a quiet and polite man, never speaking out of turn and always listening to the words of others first. Even so, the Jester treats everything as a game of chance and greatly enjoys toying with others, despite his initial appearance of patience and understanding. He has an unspoken sense of superiority about him that can surprisingly overwhelm the strongest of hearts.
Regardless of these seemingly perfect features of him, the Jester is quite fond of directing commentary to himself, so much so that if one were to hear his thoughts they might think twice about the image of mystery he’s built himself upon. More often than not the Jester reacts in either deadpan or stoic replies, concealing his true emotions to himself with no peeking eyes.
✧History:A man who has recently taken the mantle of Jester, he is the one responsible for the Court’s creation as well as their end goal. Despite this accomplishment, he is still naive in managing the members of the Court along with trying to achieve their mission around so many clashing personalities. Recently he has decided to put himself as the active leader for their first mission ever. A test run of sorts…because nothing can possibly go wrong…
✧Powers:The Jester will rarely exert such effort as to use his powers, though some claim he has the ability to summon forth the weapons of his fellow Supreme Beings. Others state that his power is so great, he is able to ensure his position as the superior in any world.
✧Weapons:The Jester rarely uses weapons, though when he does it usually takes the shape of blades extending from the palms of his hands. Others claim that he is also found of using a “crystal-like structure” as well as his eyes. There’s something about those eyes….
✧Equipment:The Jester is never seen without his garbs and mask, though sometimes his garbs are seen with a hood.
"If you have something to say to me, spit it out already."
Name: Karen W. H. Age: 20
Personality: A quiet girl who usually tries to keep to herself and under any circumstances, refuses to talk about her family. This odd behavior is not out of fear or disgust but more out of embarrassment. Considering her mother’s “eccentric” nature and her father’s “bold” personality, she’d much rather not be reminded of how much she resembles them. But aside from that, she’s quite easy-going and will speak up if she needs to.
History: The most Karen will say about her lineage is that she was born from the union of a great hero and a repulsive witch. Or something like that; she won’t go into details purely out of embarrassment of being compared to the two of them. In any case, she learned most of her magic skills from her mother while her father taught her gunplay. When she became of age to set out and make a name for herself, she heard of the rituals of Ragnarok being held in the land of New Sealand. Having only been aware of these rituals from the magical community as well as recountings from her mother, the youth decided to participate in order to prove a name for herself. At least, that’s the story she tells everyone. In truth, her actions would suggest that she’s fighting in search of a certain someone though this is mere speculation. If she is searching for someone, it’s difficult to say who it would be or why she would be so determined to find them.
Magic: Karen’s Rune Magic relies on traps and set-ups to catch opponents off guard. By placing down runic seals, whoever comes into contact with them will be bombarded with a myriad of wires that will incapacitate them. Karen can utilize these traps in a variety of ways though the core component will always consist of her wires. Sometimes the wires will constrict, other times they will sharpen themselves and pierce the foe in a circle of death; it really depends on Karen's mood and objective.
Yggdrasil Seed: Karen’s Yggdrasil Seed takes the form of gloves and metallic fingertips with wire threads running through them. As such, the weapon can be used in various ways to attack, defend against, or immobilize opponents. The majority of the wire is held in a larger than normal spool at the back of the waist underneath her jacket. Furthermore, she also possesses two flintlock revolvers that act as heels to her boots, bound to the shoe using these very wires. Although nothing more than conventional weaponry, Karen is able to manipulate her wires to pull the trigger and fire the guns if need be. No doubt an excessive, yet deadly fashion statement.
"Do you have a premonition in you? Do you have a desire for war in you? That is the proof of those who will go on with me."
✧Name:Aesir. ✧Title:The The Apotheosis of the Court. ✧Description:Immortal World Conqueror.
✧Appearance:A man of great build who is almost never seen without his armor of war. Aesir chooses to style his hair into that of a single braid, weaving it in the distinct pattern of the great snakes and dragons of old. Rumor has it that he has done this in acknowledgement of the goddess Apophis.
His armor takes on hues of red, black and orange while his eyes are a dull gray in coloration; whether this is a sign of age or magical influence, no one knows. Those that perhaps did are no longer among the living. Lastly, he wears a cape that parts into two down the middle, resembling more of a scarf than anything else.
✧Magic/Skills/Abilities:Despite trusting his blade above all else, Aesir still recognizes the usage of magic in this world. Apart from being a masterful swordsman, his focus in magic leans towards the defensive type, able to generate barriers of many kinds and specialties to both himself and his allies. Sometimes they can even be used to trap the enemy, utilizing one of those specialties mentioned such as causing the barrier to explode upon itself for example.
Though Aesier’s most grandiose skill is not any sort of active ability, but rather lies passive. Aesir has obtained complete immortality in his mortal life and thus can never be truly killed; as such, the only method to defeat him is to seal his body and soul away. Or be some sick sadist and just keep killing him until one gets bored.
✧Inventory/Holdings: Aesir is usually never seen without his fully-adorned set of armor that does well in protecting him against not only physical attacks, but also magic as well, allowing him to focus all of his efforts through weaponry and brute strength. Furthermore, he possesses a pair of double-sided great swords named Omnia that can be split apart if needed. It is said that when these mighty weapons are swung, they are able to summon forth powerful creatures both wild and strange to assure Aesir of victory. Lastly, he holds a mask that does little in battle apart from protecting his face and adding some truth to his myth as the “Masked Berserker”.
Contrary to popular belief, Aesir is not currently possessing the body of a servant; he is instead in full control of his original body through which his immortality keeps him sustained at the physical appearance of youth. His kingdom is said to be be coated in a field of concealment that only fools dare to uplift, his forces stretched far and wide within his land. Those under his rule consist of many non-human creatures and those who praise his name and the glory of war. Alongside his rule is his most trusted servant, the Chaos Angel known as Iona.
His personal fortress, which lies in the heart of his kingdom, is said to be a mighty tower that reaches so high it scrapes away the boundary of the heavens and the mortal world below. A constant stream of energy is pulsed out of the tower and aimed upward. In this way, the kingdom is forever protected and concealed, though some hold question that the constant stream of power is perhaps Aesir's attempt to wage war with the divine.
✧Myth:Legends tell of a boy reared by man but cursed by the gods who would breathe among the living. A boy whose ambition and thirst for control and power were thought to be signs of ill omen from the divine. Yet man is blind and ignorant as time has proven again and again; before long, the boy was no longer a boy and his desire to conquer had been fully realized in the form of massive armies assembled to his beck and call.
But all things born of this world are destined to end, faded to die, and soon enough, the man was brought before Death’s door. Yet in the twilight of his passing, a god, or a trickster, or a devil of a Court long since forgotten in time, offered unto him the powers with which to cheat Death. Driven by his consumption of power, the man soon took upon his newfound partner’s deal to which he was assured there would be no consequence.
There is always a consequence however, be it manifested through physical, mental, or even spiritual means. The man, now dubbing himself as Aesir in mockery of the gods who failed to end his mortal life, became a being cursed to walk the earth, whose sole purpose was to cause conflict wherever he moved. Neither love nor forgiveness could save him. Now he bathes in the blood of his enemies alone, in a fortress and kingdom thought to be hidden away in a land that lives only in myth.
Or so the stories go. Be it by fate or choice or chance, the Apotheosis of the Court was rustled from his state of dormancy by a being of bitter tidings. A servant of Kil'threx had approached the conquering king in his own throne room, promising a new purpose with the prospect of spreading war in the name of the dark god. With the taste of strife fresh upon his breath, the “Masked Berserker” set off once more to do his duty in causing chaos upon the land.
✧Personality:It is no secret that the man named Aesir has an intimate relationship with war and conflict. So much so that many wonder if he is perhaps driven by some goal or pursuit to justify his ways. Yet despite his thirst for battle and strife, there is an air of chivalry surrounding the man. He will not raise a weapon against those without arms; whether it is because he holds pity or sees staining his hand as a waste of time is unknown.
Furthermore, Aesir has no qualms in either watching battle take place or directly joining the front lines himself as he acknowledges the need for both tactics in war. However, if he does take blade in hand, he will fight to the very last and treats every soldier like a son of his own. A father to his men on the battlefield and a king to his subjects in the throne room.
“War never changes. You humans only think it changes merely because you witness something that forces your mind to reconsider the variables. To recount, to rethink, to do away with strategies and plans. War may have many faces, with new weapons and ever developing powers…but I assure you my friend. War never changes.”
The patron of conflict and battle himself sat highly upon his throne while the world burned all around him. Literally. The latest army of adventurers had traversed through hell and back to make it this far. To that he had to commend them in their willingness to be slaughtered.
A great battle had taken place here, ending in conclusion with the bombardment of his castle with spells meant to tear apart the very skies themselves. But here he still sat, unfazed and unconcerned, but no less proud that despite the eons passing by, mankind was still prevalent in their ability to enact war upon each other.
“You’ve done well to reach my doorstep, but alas, like any pawn, you were destined to fall,” the immortal continued to monologue to the mound of charred corpses that lay beside his booted feet. “To think you’d sacrifice yourselves in the efforts of slaying Aesir of the Court among your own bodily shells….a bold move. But ultimately useless against me,” he said, rising from his now crumbling throne and walking among the living inferno that was his home.
“Come Iona. We have much to do. The humans have made my blood boil with ecstasy by forcing me to make a new army. My favorite pastime,” he called out to the ruins of his fortress before melting away into the darkness and smoke. “Hmm…we’re going to need a new castle. Something resistant to fire this time,” he muttered to himself.
🗡Divine Protection of the Beast:A state of power that allows her strength and speed to double by force, tapping into her more feral tenacities. Although she will not abandon her blade when in use, she will attack more so using the assets of her natural physique, such as her tail, claws, and fangs. The most she can withstand this fighting in this state is roughly three minutes; anything proceeding that will cause severe internal damage to her body.
🗡Personality: An overconfident swordswoman who thinks she’s the best of the best, Faline values strength through training and considers it the most attractive aspect in an individual. Getting strong through dirt cheap ways is a good incentive for her to knock one flat on their ass but being honest might give one some leeway when dealing with her. Though some are more often than not off-put by her “lone wolf” vibes. Might just be the ears and tails.
Speaking of which, she has a great distaste for those who like to pet her animal features; but she’s a sucker for children and will let them do so without hesitation. She’s often been known to spoil them senseless without a care to her own financial situations. Although a valiant defender of youth, she still likes to encourage people to train on their own and defend themselves as opposed to always relying on the strength of others. In order to advance, one must become stronger so that they must do the protecting.
🗡Background:Faline was born and raised in the small town of Mirula, a place most noted for its close proximity to the Augria Sand Dunes and thus, by extension, powerful demonic energies and magic. As such, it could be said that some of Faline’s more aggressive traits are due to her growing up near such negativity. From as long as she could walk she wanted to fight and often got into scraps for the sole sake of making herself stronger.
When she was adept enough to wield a blade, she journeyed away from Mirula in her own quest to become more powerful. Or at the very least, the best sword user in the land. Several years later, and she’s still going about the whole “lone wolf” act. She’s nowhere near her goal of becoming the best swordswoman but the ambition is still there burning brightly for her.
Unfortunately, the remnants and reminders of her home are still carried with her in the form of her Divine Protection. She’s not sure for certain but she thinks it’s because she grew up near the Sand Dunes that she’s able to manifest such a ferocious state of power. Currently she’s searching for someone to confirm this theory of hers.
⛨ Personality:Gradon is someone with a skewered perception of how the world works outside of a battleground. Being entranced with the idea of hunters and Grimm-slaying has left him with an awkward sense of self when it comes to social interactions with other people. Or in general. Quite frankly, it’s almost like he’s an alien from another world, questioning the usage of such simple things such as doors with polite regard.
In this manner, Gradon is often called an idiot when it comes to common sense. A polite and overall nice person by all means, but still an idiot. The sole exception to this seems to be during combat situations, his body and mind reacting as if he was born to be a warrior at heart. One had just better hope he’s not placed on cooking duty afterwards because he will burn down the dorms trying to figure out how to turn on the oven.
⛨ History:Gradon’s history is nothing too spectacular. Simply put, he wanted to be a hunter who slayed Grimm and protect people. Though he tended to lean more towards traditional knight mannerisms and customs, it did not deter his want to help people and thus began this career as a student of Illuminate Academy.
Beforehand, his family told him constantly that one must hone their body at all costs in order to become a strong hunter or huntress. Gradon took this literally, eager to train his fighting skills day and night to the point where he could be considered a prodigy in the field of combat. Unfortunately this has made his social skills suffer tremendously to the point where the simplest of things can stump Gradon if it’s not connected to fighting in some way. Like trying to open a door.
Because of his appearance and efficiency in fighting, he’s been given the nickname of “Not-Kirito”. It’s a shame he doesn’t really know what that means nor does he fully understand the reference all too well, but he’s more than happy to learn. As an eager student, he’s always tried to be open-minded of many things and become an overall nice guy. More often than not however this kindness dips into nativity and just lack of common sense. But such is the life of a student.
⛨ Weapon:Gradon’s weapon is a mighty sword cannon by the name of Round Table. Much like fellow student Amber Echo, this weapon does not have a secondary transformation; instead, it remains in its primary state at all times and can be mounted onto Gradon’s back. Round Table not only serves as a mighty sword, but also covers long-ranged capabilities with bullets meant to pierce through the thickest of Grimm hides. Whether or not it has the ability to incorporate Dust materials into its bullets is unknown as Gradon never bothered to try.
⛨ Semblance:By successfully parrying or blocking an oncoming attack, Gradon can then inflict the same amount of damage or force right back at the enemy almost instantly. However, this ability can only work when defending against physical close-combat attacks, such as sword strikes. If one were to carelessly slash at a defensive Gradon, a cut of similar proportion would immediately present itself on the enemy. Unfortunately, this unique power reverts Gradon’s fighting style to retain more defensive capabilities than offensive ones, forcing him to rely solely on counterattacks to fully utilize it.
⛨ Dust:Gradon is not a proficient user with Dust and so prefers to rely on his weapon and Semblance in combat. He’s tried his hand at Fire type Dust once or twice, only to burn his dorm bed almost immediately. Other elements have had similar results so he just sticks to swinging and shooting.
