[IC] HCL 2: Twisted tinkers' triumph

The man sighs, and begins to make his way thought the remains of the city, ending up soon, in the abyss. He stays close to the ground, lest he swallowed by the darkness, which even the most stalwart of warriors would fear. Soon, he'd make it to the place where one would find Manus, father of the abyss.....but would he find the large dark creature?

The path leading up to the abyss is empty, the hollowed husks completely devoid of souls, the creature having adjusted for speed and strength in their fight before running ahead, gobbling up every soul and humanity on it's path before finally reaching the abyss, where all was quiet and still save for the screams of the tortured souls above, still trying to weather the storm. After a few minutes he can since something creeping around in the dark, swimming through it as freely as breathing but one thing was certain, manus was nowhere to be found.

"......" The man began to murmur like before, a bright light forming within the abyss, most likely angering whatever was swimming within the darkness, as this light would seem to burn..or, feel as close as it could to the burning sensation. The man seems very focuses.

Once the light reaches it's zenith it snuffs out, the message clear: this was a place of darkness. Even as the man treads forth he feels discomfort growing, whatever was lurking in the shadows was growing closer and he had a bad feeling of what would happen should it get him in it's clutches

The man thinks, and he moves towards the entrance to the abyss, for he would fight this thing, but on his terms. He begins to charge up another flame, this one burning bright enough to attract this creature, it being quite painful for the beings of the abyss...

when he attempts to go to the entrance he's launched down with immense force, the man being unable to tell how far or fast he went from the blow due to the nature of the abyss, but one thing was certain, the entrance was gone.

"Never heard of him." Asura replies

Oddly, this man seemed well at home in the abyss. He stands ready, the darkness seeming to swallow him for but a moment, him reappearing near the creature. "The darkness won't save you..." He says, as he starts to channel some sort of power.

"If you ever find him, tell him Azerald wishes to speak to him." The hooded man says, before vanishing.

Gunner turns to Theta. "Wish to go somewhere else? While this is nice and all, I'm getting bored." He says, stretching somewhat.

The man is rather suddenly slammed into the ground, the creature having merged with the darkness to an alarming degree though it doesn't seem particularly in control as it attempts to inflict a crushing spell upon him, the magic coalescing before fizzling and going out, it's movements growing sluggish and scrapping against the darkness around it as something within it seems to be fighting against itself

The man stands up, coughing slightly, and he once again begins to channel this strange powers, him starting to glow slightly.
".....Zu'kath, dor'eth, bak'durath......" He says, starting his spell.

While the creature was delayed it wasn't stupid and hit him as soon as he started channeling, it disappearing as if a speck in the distance before he crashes back down into the solid part of the abyss, it's movements too fast to follow showing that while it was fighting for control, both conciouces liked hitting him

This oddly doesn't stop his chanting, and soon, the glow gets stronger, and stronger. Soon, energy crackles around the glow, making it..very obvious directly smashing into him will end badly.

While the creature's magic was disrupted, it could still do simple things like break his own, his spell fizzling before reversing, the effects applying to the opposite of the intended target before the creature smashes him through what feels like a few floors of the abyss. From how easilly it can counter everything he does, it would probably be best to beat it some other way than fighting it.

This does..nothing, as the magic starts to bore into the minds of the two beings, fighting for control. The man continues his chanting, soon, the two beings feeling as though they are being ripped apart, back to being two beings. Manus felt as though he was being pulled, and the creature feels as though he was being locked in place by hidden chains. Soon, in the air, Manus could see it, a huge creature with a singular eye, and a large snake like body was the thing tearing them apart, the large red creature far larger than anything Manus or the wire creature had encountered...but only Manus could see it, as his spirit was ripped from the wire creature. The large monster cackles, loudly, as he rips the two beings from one another.

There was a strangeness to the two creatures being separated, but one thing was for certain, it was working albeit, not as intended. as manus can feel himself leaving the creature he begins to grow worried, his physical body having been reduced to nothing which would wind up leaving him a floating mass of darkness and energy. He would NOT allow himself to be subjected to nothingness even if the alternative was becoming part of something else, and it was with that thought that manus relinquished the fight for control and sunk into the wire creature completely, it's body changing back to the form it preferred as it snaps the chains with a flick of it's wrists, it appearing to be wearing a strange armor of eyes as it looks itself over, saying evenly with manus's deep voice toning in just at the edge of hearing "such a strange feeling... like... growing?... i think that's the word".

With those words spoken the creature seems to disappear from either beings' senses before appearing to grip the man's throat, the helmet being fried off of him by the darkness like an all devouring flame to reveal just who he was as artorias's soul edges towards the creature of it's own volition, the semi corrupted state of it making it want to wallow amongst the creature that had overcome such tribulations.

The mask began to glow as the darkness encrouched upon it, pushing back the darkness and giving the creature a rather pained headache, and much to the creature's dismay, Artorias's soul was nowhere to be found.
"Damn you, you've no idea what you just did....." The man growls, his voice hampered by the hand at his throat. The large snake creature formed behind him, and laughed a wicked cackle. "Well, such a surprise!~ So splendid, he may be quite what we are looking for!~" It sings, with an odd tone of glee. It had a distorted voice, but one that reeked of sadism, and wickedness. "Put that pup down, and let's talk! Yes, talk...Talk and make talk of wonderful things~" It hisses out. The man gulps, not seeming to like the current actions of his ally.

"we shall speak once i have what i came for" the creature says evenly, grabbing the helmet and taking it off of the man before crushing it in one hand, devouring it magic and all before asking slightly irrately "where are the souls?"

The big reveal is...It's someone the thing doesn't know. At all. It's some man with a scar over his right eye, pale skin, and long sleek black hair.
"They're being put to good use making sure we all don't end up dead. That group you're helping, they're aiming to destroy reality itself." He growls, and the creature leans down, into the creature's eyesight, should it have had eyes.
"Yes~ Trust me, you'll get a chance for souls, powerful souls, just wait..me and you, we can be quite the team." It coos, seeming to very much like the wire creature, as it runs a finger down Its arm, and if possible, most likely making the creature uncomfortable.
"I thought you wanted to kill it?" The man asks, and the creature cackles again. "That was before he got so....powerful. I like it now...." The creature coos, looking the wire man over. Azerald just sighs, being held by the creature.

"hand them over. i've no intention of seeing everything destroyed so they'll remain with me. i am incapable of lieing. i'm also rather annoyed" the creature replies evenly, loosening his grip to set the man down as it seems to relax before grabbing the creature and saying rather calmly "as i said, i am rather annoyed. it's a new experience for me so i'm not sure what may become of you should you continue speaking while i am talking with another." while giving the creature just enough breath to say yes or no
