Connor nodded, following Michael up to the viewing plate form

Kalinda smiled, turning in Michaels arms, to face him. "It was a good fight" she said "enjoyable to watch. But you're right, we all need to rest" she said, "we don't need to be sleep deprived, after all!"

She wanted to check her equipment and make sure that it was all okay, and do some exercises, make sure nothing hurt and she had her usual flexability. She was happy to rest for a while too.

"We should eat too"

Michael nodded some at the eating part. "I'll order some pizza make sure your gear is ready all of you." With that he kissed kalindas head before starting to go upstairs. Getting his suit off in his room setting it on the desk.

Grabbing his phone, he called and ordered some pizza. Setting it down once he was done he laid on his bed looking at the ceiling making sure all his thoughts were in check.

Kalinda nodded, and checked on her equipment, making sure it all worked, and that everything was in order. She cleaned her suit, and after it dried in moments, she folded it, ready to wear it tomorrow. She then scooped Cooper up, hugging the puppy.

She had a terrible thought, wondering what would happen to Cooper if none of them came back. She cradled the puppy close, letting him like her face. She swallowed, and went to Michaels room, stopping and watching him just lying on the bad

Michael blinked a couple of times, trying to at least get a hold of his thoughts and be able to think straight he needed a clear head for tomorrow. Sighing some as he shook his head, he turned his gaze to the door seeing Kali standing there and looking at him.

"So what's up?" He just wanted a night with no nightmares, so he could be ready for the big fight tomorrow.

Kalinda gave a shrug, "Nothing. Just...I don't think any of us have thought on what might happen if we don't return. What the hell will Cooper do, if I don't return? On the force, I didn't really consider that I'd die, because...well, I was too skilled. But this is the whole of SHIELD that we are going on." She walked over, sitting down on the bed, hugging Cooper to her chest, and giving him a pet.

Michael sat up as he listened to her. Wrapping his arms around her waist, "don't think like that we'll be fine we'll get through tomorrow. You worry to much Kali," he rested his chin on her shoulder.

"I can't help but worry. It's not like something similar hadn't happened before" Kalinda pointed out, letting Cooper go, shifting slightly to face Michael. But perhaps you are right. Perhaps im just worrying for the sake of worrying"

She worked at it, and managed a smile, trying to assure herself
That everything would be fine

Michael managed to smile back, keeping his arms around her waist. "We'll be fine Kali we just need to get some sleep come on." With that he let go of her taking off his shirt then pants only keeping in his boxers on laying down beside her.

Kalinda nodded, and readied herself for bed as well. She slept as well as she could, but she often wake, her heart beating fast, as nightmares plagued her. The last four years had led to a lot of nightmares. finally deciding that sleep was futile for the rest of the night, Kalinda constatnly went through scenarios in her head, thinking, and going over what could happen.

She didn't want to lose everything again, after just getting it back.

Middle of the night Michael snapped forward his breathing heavy while he was covered in his own sweat. Looking over to see kalinda up. "Nightmares?" He knew the answer already, though he still wanted to ask even though he pretty much knew it.

Kalinda nodded, shifting slightly, "it's like my brain just goes...back to moment before that spy took me out. And I know, I know that something is wrong. I just wasn't quick enough. And I feel helpless" she shifted closer, giving a soft sigh, feeling vulnerable, but at least she wasn't alone.

"You too" it wasn't a question, merely a statement

Michael nodded " always the moment when the bomb goes off and I'm free falling trying to get the suit work." He rubbed his face slightly, a sigh leaving his lips as he sat up crossing his legs under him.

Kalinda sat up with him, and wrapped her arms around him in a hug, wanting to reasure him, to make him feel better, taking reassurance herself. "Well. We're all together again, and everything has always come well when we are all together" she said softly, reassuring herself with Her own words

Michael nodded to that, wrapping his arms around her. "We'll figure out a way through this we always have." It was reassurance to the both of them he couldn't think that something was to go wrong. No not after what had happened to them.

Kalinda knew she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep, and doubted Michael would be able to either. She didn't want to go back to sleep, knowing nightmares would just be at the edge and come back.

"Well. What should we do now?" She asked, after a few moments.

Michael shrugged, "depends on you I could really use a drink about now, but I should stop because I know you wouldn't like it." Rubbing his arm slightly, before wrapping them around her waist. "What do you want to do?"

Kalinda didn't mind drinking, but it was never wise to drink before a mission. She wanted to focus her mind, but she couldn't figure out a way of doing that. Normally, she would find something to hit, and do that, but she wanted to save her strength for the mission. It left her at lose ends.

She leaned back when her wrapped his arms around her, and gave a shrug, feeling slightly better just for the contact "I just want to...do anything, as long as it's with you"

(I might not be able to post for the next day or two. I have an exam tomorrow)

Resting his head on her shoulder, "well can't go for a run since of the news yesterday." Michael sighed to that before thinking, "with you here I could just sit here for the rest of the night if you want that is."

Kalinda smiled, "I could too" she said, finding that it was true, and that she was happy to do so. She shifted just slightly, so that she could look at michael, and she smiled again, letting herself feel safe, she said softly "I love you."

He sighed some, smiling some. "Love you to Kali," he was calming down some the nightmare was gone from his mind. He tightened his arms around her, before his lips were on hers.
