@Outcast: In canon-history on March 18, 1861 General Pedro Santana takes control of the Dominican Republic and reestablishes it as a Spanish Colony; in the context of this roleplay how would the aforementioned play out? Would Spain have to issue some sort of order accepting the Dominican Republic back as a colony or would this specific recolonization be some sort of predetermined event unaffected by the revised canon?

Well, this RP started in April of 1861, so I would imagine that the Dominican is now a Spanish colony.

I thought that at first too jwon, but the map seems to suggest otherwise; mind you I am not trying to nitpick, I just recently spent a sizable portion of time researching Spain's role in the 1860's and this was apparently an integral happening in regards to Spanish-Western relations.
