It'll only be the Emperor dying, i'd imagine he has successors. Taking Germany would not mean the end of the Holy Roman Empire.

Correct. In fact, the weaker the NPCs become, the stronger they actually will get - if you catch my drift. You probably don't. Just know that the difficulty will increase the bigger you get, to keep the game competitive.

Yup, but I think you'll have to be the last one. I've got another guy entering. That gives us 6, which I think is a fair number. May increase this once I finish the population/contentment excel sheet I'm working on, which will remove the manual labour from the administrative process.

Post your sheet and await for my acceptance.

Alright, I'm afraid I'm going to have to make a few changes to the mechanic systems of the RP. Excel is being a tit, and wont do what I want it to, which means I'm having to sit here for a long time crunching numbers - Not how I envisioned things. My bad, but a lesson learnt for the future.

I'm going to have to remove the following:

Human population, contentment and religious beliefs.

In their place, there will be the following:

1) Random rebellions will crop up within Gorikan provinces. These will be randomly selected by a random number generator, every so often or when I feel you've left your provinces unsupervised for too long. Gorikan factions that IC tolerance, acceptance or inclusion of humans in a positive light will be less likely to get civil strife.

2) Human militia cap and replenishment will be dropped a bit. Originally I planned for the humans not to have an inexhaustible population, but I'm beginning to realise that it's a pointless mechanic because as there is so many of them, you guys would really have to fuck things up to run out.

3) Human religious followings within your provinces will be linked into the random rebellion generator. However, religion will still appear as a heavy theme within the IC.

Sorry about that, but like I say, I thought Excel was capable of doing what I needed, and maybe it is, but making the bloody thing has taken too much time and caused me too much frustration.

Battle mechanics will remain the same, as will soldier recruitment and Gorikan population replenishment. The changes above effect only your human stats.

French army attacking the Humlon was totally obliterated, with 10,000 casualties. However, the Humlon defending force was also dealt a heavy blow, with 3,000 casualties. Technically a draw, but both armies are broken.

Kaliningrad Oblast fell to the Isarimer with spectacular efficiency. All human militia destroyed, Isarimer lost 600. Region is now in NewSun's hands.

Now, what we've all been waiting for:

The Battle of Germany

Emperor Otto launches pre-emptive strike against Poland, losing 40% (4,800) in the process, but dealing out 70% to the Isarimer defenders. (2800)

Hellwalker Warhorde obliterates the Hamburg militia garrison, losing 800 Isarimer in the process.

Emperor Otto wheels around from Poland and counter attacks, leading to a pitched battle outside of the burning ruins of Hamburg.

Despite being out numbered, the German Emperor manages to deal 40% (5920) to the Isarimer force, but is killed in single combat by LesaLikl, Beast of the Shadow. Cut off from retreat and deep in hostile territory, the remaining soldiers of the Reich's army melt into the forests, leaving Germany in the hands of the Isarimer.

In conclusion, the Holy Roman Empire has been significantly weakened, and it will likely take several seasons for their army to gather enough strength to challenge the Isarimer on the battlefield again. Their Emperor is dead, striking fear and civil strife into their lands. However, the Isarimer have also suffered heavy casualties, but not on a crippling scale.

Yeah, I love it when it rolls a 'Single Combat'.

Congratulations on your victories. Be wary though, mankind is a resourceful bastard when thrown into a corner!

I'm working on a post myself now.

I do think at some point in the future a single combat fight between Vel'Nardoc and Lesalikl would be quite an interesting thing to write. lol

Aw really? I was planning on being friiiiiiiends.

Though I wouldn't risk it. LesaLikl has the highest win-chance of any commander in the game.

Having looked at the stats, I don't think a duel would be that interesting. The Isarimer guy can reroll twice in a duel. Emperor Otto actually beat him the first time! The Lorenvolk guy has a 20% increase in winning the duel, and if he is defeated, he can make a saving roll which allows him to escape unharmed. It'd be a roll fest, but the Isarimer dude has the upper hand on account of being able to fight the duel 3 times. Still, not impossible, and it'd make for an awesome post if Nardoc defeated Lesa.

If LesaLikl dies though, it tears the Isarimer to pieces. To every advantage, there is always a disadvantage.

If I were fighting the Isarimer (which I will be in due time, on super hard mode), I would probably ignore their general, or send armies against him headed by a nobody. Cut the strength from under him. Not that I intend to this... at all.

You should include those stats. If Newsun is going to write out the fight, then it would be fitting to include that the beast of the shadow was thrown to the earth by the human before rising up again. Make the fight epic and honestly scenes like that are really cool.

Yeah sorry, I had to pop out but wanted to get the next season under way. If i copy and pasted the raw data, you'd just get a long line of random numbers. I have to write what they mean for you guys to understand, and I just didn't have the time so I just released the key stages of the battles and the casualties involved.
