I just finished reading the novel, and I must say that a post-apocalyptic RP set after the book, following a group of survivors, would be interesting.

Five years after the end, a band of survivors has run out of ammunition for their firearms, and are dangerously low on supplies. There is only one choice now: with all other mammals affected, the group must trek as far north as possible to find a place where they can live until the pseudo-pheromones in the atmosphere are gone.
