Mayt sighed, and tossed the witch back her little toys, letting them simply fall to the ground, showing he didn't trust her change of heart. "Remind me not to play chess with you." He said simply before looking over at Sasha. watching her gather the plants. "Alright, let's hope no other idiot tries to attack us on the way back. I'd hate to accidentally kill someone while dealing with them." It's obvious when he says this he doesn't really have too many qualms about killing. Hopefully so long as it is in self defense. "And let's cross our fingers that this herb works, I really don't want to have to come back to get something else." He coughs, and glares at Sen.

Sasha stood, and approached Mayt. "It's okay" she said with a smile, knowing that giving the pieces back was a sign of trust that most likely Sen hadn't had. "She isn't going to betray us" she glanced about, before starting back the way they had come, back towards the city without sound. Sasha was ready in case there was an attack or such, despite her weariness. She walked slowly, and made sure of her footing, knowing she would need to rest before heading back to the guild.

As they approached the city, the doctor was there waiting, clearly anxious and she cried out when she saw them. Sasha smiled reassuringly, taking the herbs out, and handing them over.

"Oh, thank you" the doctor said, "thank you! You'll be wanting your payment?" She took out a jewel sack, holding it out, and Sasha took it, to split it later with Mayt.

"If you don't mind, we will stay here to make sure the cure works" Sasha said

"Of course, of course" the doctor hurried off

Mayt chuckles, and waves to the doctor as she leaves. "I hope by 'Stay here' you mean take a nap a distance down the road, because I am exhausted." He lets out a long sigh, and rubs the back of his neck. "We can split our reward tomorrow. Or later, depends on when we wake up right?" He pauses for a moment, then lets out a long sigh. "Aw Hell, we're going to have to take watches aren't we, to keep the ninjas off our backs?" He screws up his mouth to one side. "Or can your magic save us that work?" He turns his head slightly, and motions for them to start walking while he finds out if he's going to offer to stay up for first watch or not. He didn't want to, but he would if they were going to do watches.

Sasha ran a hand wearily over her face, rubbing her eyes, "I can make my bear, it can watch, and give us enough time to wake" she said, as they walked. When she was sure they were a good distance away, she settled down, doing the hand movements, yawning "Ice make: bear shield" the great bear formed, and Sasha lauded back, exhausted. She knew a thin amount of magic would be channel be needed to keep the bear there, but that wouldn't be much and she'd gain more then she lost.

"I'm exhausted" she said softly, closing her eyes, content where she was for now.

Slowly, Selk stirred from his slumber. His head was on a soft patch of grass, warmed by his head. Sylla must have gotten up in her sleep, probably to get salmon from the nearby lake. She did love her salmon. Selk stretched his body before standing up. The fresh smell of the grove filled his nostrils, and he sighed happily. The trees here twisted and turned, almost seeming to touch the sky. The sky was almost blotted out by the leaves of the tree, but there were a few places where the light shined through. That was another thing Selk liked about it. As he stretched his arms, cracked his back, and let out a deep yawn, he felt his stomach grumble. He smacked his lips together, and scratched his back as he began to walk after the path Sylla had left. It was rather hard to miss. As he walked along the path that she had left, he recalled the fondness of scaring their first intruders off together.

Selk had transformed into a rather large bear, dwarfing Sylla in size, and he guarded the entrance. Sylla, however, came around from the back. The horror magic that Selk had known at the time was rather... primitive, and so he had to be really close. But despite the primitive nature of it, he found himself casting it while in his bear form. Combined with the natural amplification to his magic, it warped the minds of the intruders in a manner that made Selk and Sylla appear as six story tall bears, which caused one of the intruders to faint. The other ran directly into the arms of Sylla, who in turn, ate him. Selk smiled as the memory trailed off, and he found himself next to Sylla, who had a mouth full of salmon. She let loose a low growl, before dropping one into Selk's hands. He bit into the meal, and smiled. It tasted fresh. He liked that. Selk thanked Sylla, and pet her head. She let out a low, but not intimidating, growl in response, letting Selk know that the gesture was welcome.

The negotiations between Aedius and the old man went on for what seemed like a decade, neither of them wanting to give the other the better end of the deal. The Ragged Cultists stood diligent, ready in the event of a battle; as did the guards protecting the village leader. Aedius has said that he did not want this event to end in violence, but as the deep conversation went on, it seemed as though it would become the only deciding factor. Aedius was about to make another point when the village leader interrupted him.

"Leave this island this instant. We shall never join you, nor will we give you our Lacrima." The man said angrily. His outburst resulted in a period of silence, Aedius simply stared at the man. Emotionless once more, he broke the silence.

"I understand, but answer my question - Do you like the undead?" Aedius asked. The village leader gave him a look of utter disbelief.

"What kind of question is that supposed to be!?" The village leader said, clearly confused and enraged that someone could come to a peaceful island and begin talking about things which are completely unrelated.

"Answer." Aedius replied, becoming sterner.

"Of course not! How disrespectfu-" The village leader's response was cut short by a stab from Aedius, he thrust his katana into the elderly man's stomach, twisting the blade as he painfully removed it. The village leader dropped to the ground, face first into the sand. Both the Ragged Cultists and the guards watched in horror and surprise at Aedius' sudden action. Although it was to be expected when he asked that question.

"Then die." He said in a cold and cruel way. The two skeletons which remained on the boat both stood, and rushed down the bridge onto the beach where they brandished their swords and prepared for conflict. The four soldiers protecting the village leader stumbled backwards in fear, some even fell over.

"Kill them." Aedius said, ordering the cultists to attack.

Being unfazed at Aedius killing someone out of that silly question, despite her agreeing with it, she chuckled as the other cultists were disgusted by the display of death.
"Pansies! Don't you know what you signed up for?"

Cordelia had a moment where giddiness controlled her, quickly she ran towards the first guard and placed a big smile on her face whilst keeping her hands behind her back. The guard, confused at what she was trying to accomplish, was shortly answered by being incapacitated from his hands being stuck to the floor via her web shot.
"How silly, you just saw the guy I was with say that you should all die! Didn't you expect as much?" Before waiting for an answer, she called upon her little minions to clean his body of anything but bones, he should have his skeleton shown like a bug's.

She decided one more would be enough so that she may return to the boat and... Continue to be sick. Cordelia grimaced, yet continued by producing her pincers and pummeling the next guard over and over in the stomach until he was incapacitated and then the final move; decapitation. It was swift, although not as much as she would've liked it to be.
"Can we go, now?"

Sen picked up her chess pieces and put them back in her bag. She then stood up and headed to the ice cage. She made sure to let out her fellow guild mate. Sen then started towards her guild hall. She didn't encounter much on the trip back.Sen enjoyed the scenery, beautiful trees, and quite a nice path. She walked down the path and into her guild hall. Sen then walked up to her guild master.
"I'm leaving," she told him. " I'm leaving and joining Phoenix Wing." with that she walked out and headed towards Phoenix Wing.

The order given by Aedius, and the...slightly motivational comment from Cordelia resulted the other Ragged Cultists attacking the remaining guards. A flurry of different spells flew in the guards' direction, knocking them out temporarily. Aedius stepped over the bodies, his two skeletons followed, he headed towards the island's only village. Before entirely leaving, he turned around and spoke to the cultists.

"You." He said, pointing to the cultist on the far right. "Call Arkya, tell her we're starting the plan. And get the wooden board which I brought, too." The cultist nodded, and returned to the boat. Aedius assumed that Arya could hear him, but he sent the cultist anyway - just to be safe.

Aedius pointed to another cultist, the second one from the right. "Find out where they hold their Lacrima. That's what we came here for. If anyone tries to stop you: Kill them." He continued on to address the rest of the group.

"Everyone else; this village is small. Gather every civilian you find, and bring them to the beach. This will be the first step to uniting them under our lord's banner. If they resist: Also kill them, understand?" He expected everyone present to follow his command - except for Arkya, who was of an equal rank, which meant she could theoretically do as she pleased.

The two skeletons immediately rushed in the direction of the town, and Aedius awaited the actions of everyone else.

Rilr Hearthfire - Lone Wanderer

Luck was something Rilr usually had on his side. Today however was one of those times where it left him in the dark. He'd waited for hours after the tip of about the cave - just so it got to that sweet spot where you could access it for the lies period of time. During that time he'd been sat in a boat which could have fallen apart any second the sea air befuddled his senses causing the countless diagrams he'd previously drawn showing the sea cave and the possibilities of how it's magic worked to make little sense to him - not that they ever made sense to anyone else.

An hour into his far from calm sail the mast in the dingy snapped in half. The dodgy bastard who sold it to him never told him that it was in need of that much repair. He simply left it to the seagulls he was hardly about to do the man any favours. Nevertheless he used the oars to carry on to the mouth of the alleged sea cave.

Getting was rather easy; simply sail in during the correct time period and abandon your boat when there's land. After that however the cave was certainly a tribulation to navigate. Countless tunnels veering left and right - however there were no traps or guards: as if this place didn't need them - after an hour of traversing chasms and narrow crawl spaces Rilr was left with one final challenge. The only guard in the area was the woman who tipped Rilr off about the cave, a wicked smile in her face and a blade in hand.

An ambush. Something Rilr was familiar with however this time he was alone, no other adventurers with combat abilities just him and his very... Situational magic. He looked around his environment, nothing he could use to his advantage. Rilr struggled with melee opponents since he only had one solid move against them - a quantum shift in their weapons.

Quantum magic you see isn't strictly one or the other when it comes to magic type - it's a mixture of both holder and caster magics in a sense. The spells come from the caster himself - the caster side of things however due to the nature of the spells they cast they can enchant objects to a certain degree. The usage of the spells therefore differ from caster to caster. Most tend to class it as a caster magic however due to the direct capabilities of such a form.

The situation Rilr was faced with was a good example of the conundrum of what kind of type the magic is. The quantum shift he would need to use could shift around the makeup of the weapon, hopefully causing it to turn into sand or some equivalent dust. The trick of it was that only Rilr could be looking the item in question, something like a blade was easy to manipulate so long as he can the spell when a stabbing motion was used, he could conceal the blade with his hands and then use the spell. That's all hoping that the blade isn't magical.

The fight began slowly, mostly questioning as to why the trap had been set with little answers to be accounted for. Then here was the typical name calling - fights just aren't the same without it. Then the circling raising tension until whoever might have been watching was on the edge of their seats. It certainly was an exciting first few minutes, there could have been some screaming in an attempt for both parties to become more powerful but they were in a time limit.

Rilr made the first move, dashing towards his adversary. He glanced a swing and made his first move, turning towards the blade he pushed out his hands as he murmured, "Quantum potential, infinite well!". This is a move which is adapted to combat by Rilr, it's use is risky in the fact that whilst the attack should act as a shield there are three planes to the area projected. The central of these planes is known as the "null plane" quite simply the potential of any object entering that area is removed. Any physical attack therefore is rendered useless as the kinetic movement becomes obsolete and the attack is stopped. The other two planes however are "infinite wells" to be put simply they remove any limitations of the energy that anything entering the area contains. Allowing attacks to become massively more powerful. Rilr therefore has the odds against him depending on his opponent.

The attack this time however worked. Allowing him to shutdown the weapon his for used during their surprise. He grabbed the base of the blade, shielding it from view and eagerly yelled the spell, "Quantum Observance, reduction!" As he removed his hands the area of the thin blade turned into dust before their eyes. What remained fell to the floor - harmless. His adversary looked at him, three seconds of a violent staring match before she turned and ran. Now all that was left was for Rilr to grab that Artefact.

As you can guess it wasn't there; in its place was a note, "better luck next time" it read. Perhaps two adventurers had a rivalry? Rilr left the cave with a bitter taste on his mouth. Next time he would find something. For now, he just needed to avoid gambling to keep his little wealth with him. Half an hour later Rilr was sat in a bar drowning his sorrows in drink.

Arkya had been sitting in the boat, waiting for something to happen. Thump thump thump thump. A cultist had ran aboard. "M-ma'am, Aedius said to start the plan." The cultist said. "And?" Arkya replied. "Uh... Kill them if they resist?" "Alright." Arkya stood up, and walked past the cultist, who had been shaken by something earlier. With Aedius doing negotiations, he probably asked the big question. Arkya stood up, and left the boat.

Arkya walked past the beach, and into the village. Natives were getting murdered by the Ragged Brotherhood, or dragged off unto the beach. A large man stood in front of Arkya. He had beaten two cultists, and was barely scratched. In his hands was a large hammer. He didn't appear to use magic, so Arkya would have a fair fight with this man. She reached for her knives which had been placed in sheaths on her thighs, and she held them in front of her, the left blade pointing to the left, and the right pointing to the right. The man charged with the hammer, and with great virility, smashed it to the ground. It appeared to be a direct hit, but dust was pushed up. He felt proud just for a moment, but when the dust settled, he noticed something. There was nobody who was hit by the hammer. He looked straight down, and right in between the gaps of his arms was Arkya, who had leapt at the man. Arkya had thrust her knives into the man's stomach, and pulled both away, causing his stomach to be split into two. He had fallen to the ground, blood dripping. There was a woman behind, hiding with a child. Arkya grabbed the woman's arm, and pulled it. She dragged the woman and her child to the beach, and once done, she looked upon Aedius and the dead old man. She had no opinion about his actions, but she would have probably done the same.

Cordelia rolled her eyes at the sight of Arkya. Another enforcer showoff who thought they were the ones she listened to. She may be on this job, but that was for The First, not Arkya or Aedius. What's with those double 'A' names anyway? She began to think that maybe those two founders had a fetish for people who were, in one way or another, the first, it was plausible in her mind. Nevertheless, she skipped in to a village, picking the house with the most brightest pink roof; the one that made her the most sick. A guard, who must have noticed her from a window, charged out and pounced on her, trying to rip her apart with his Animal Takeover magic which had turned him in to a cat. It was fruitless though, she had practically already won.
"My my, what a cute pussy cat" Cordelia began to mimic his movements, licking her hand and growing a scorpions tail to copy his own.
"Stupid girl, you should be growing up in the care of proper people who wouldn't hurt others without reason!" Anger became apparent on the man's face.
"You obviously aren't even toilet trained, 'cause you just spewed a load of crap!" She was on the floor now, rolling around whilst holding her stomach and kicking her legs up from how enraged this man had become from her tormenting.

The guard tried to swipe Cordelia with his claw, yet his stomach had already been pierced by her tail, blood dripping from the wound that she had left. "Kneel, like a good kitten." The man did as asked, unwillingly however. The young girl passed the man and went in to the house where a young couple awaited, cowering underneath the stairs. "Come on, if we're late I will be punished. If that happens, you'll be the ones worse off." The man and woman followed her without question.

Wes Gusto, Phoenix Wing

The boat finally arrived on shore and returned Wes and Angelo backback to Hargeon Town. When they reached the train station, the schedule post for the departure train to Magnolia should be arriving in less than an hour. "It would seem that we'll have some time to spare while waiting for our train. Plus, I'm feeling a bit thirsty so I'm going to start spending a few of our job money on something to drink, I rather not risk what Gentsia did with his drinks hehe. You should join by the way, better to be together just incase the train arrives earlier than planned."

Wes eventually found himself walking into a bar and noticed and man who drinking away on the counter. "Local drunk or something?" Meh, we should probably try and see if the guy is okay, we can't let him drink himself to death can we, right? He said sarcastically with a smirk. "Though, I'm a bit too thirsty and I'm probably not the best one for the job so you can try if you want, Angelo."

Angelo yawned as they got back to hargeon town and he let mark loose and let him sit on his shoulder squawking a little in thanks and Angelo nodded "just keeping you safe buddy" Angelo said smiling as he looked at Wes and his suggestion for drinks wasn't a bad one so he followed him but they walked toward a bar and Angelo had trouble just walking into it considering that his worst memories were of his abusive father who just decided to get drunk a lot cause it suited him and kept us poor. When Wes asked Angelo to talk to the drunk he had to struggle not to bite his head off for asking that kind of a question to him but Angelo knew that he knows nothing of what Angelo went through before joining the guild so he simply said "no" and quickly walked out of the bar as quick as he could manage without looking like he was running away. he walked a few feet away and sat on a bench starting to hyperventilate at the thought of it being his father ready to beat him again even though they were nowhere near this town just going near a drunk sent him into a flashback

When Angelo left the bar, Wes couldn't help but think, "No? That's probably the first that I've seen him just say one word, seemed a bit nervous too but who knows." Wes walked towards the counter and sat down next to the man drinking. "May I simply have a a refreshing glass of water please, really thirsty for on." Wes said the bartender who quickly got a glass of cold water and slid it to him. "Thanks." He said as he handed a tip to the woman. Wes took a sip from his drink before talking to man . "So, I came in here looking for a drink and noticed someone drinking himself to death. I know it's not my right to pry open you mind, but I figured that I should at least ask if everything is okay. I read awhile back that if someone talked about their problems out loud it may help fight whatever your feeling." He said, looking over at the man seated next to him. "By the way, the names Wes said if that helps that you're not speaking to a total stranger."

Angelo stayed on his bench trying to stay calm and keep himself from hyperventilating knowing that thanks to his past he avoided bars all together, the only reason he went to the one at phoenix wing was because he trusted everyone their but he was not in phoenix wing and he wasn't going to be in a bar if he couldn't help it. seeing that alcoholic brought such bad memories for Angelo that he only talked about it with sasha and the guild master and right neither were their to calm him down and say that Angelo's father wasn't going to get near him. the only person that makes Angelo feel so small is the person that beat him and his mother when he couldn't hit back or talk back without worrying about getting a broken bone. thankfully mark was with him trying to help calm Angelo down as he clutched his head trying to think happy thoughts as he looked at mark glad he had one friend who really understood him

Rilr Hearthfire - Lone Wanderer

"Drink myself to death?" Rilr muttered looking up, his eyes had a slight drowsy look to them, "Don't worry about that kid. I'm a strong drinker; probably two more pints until I'm out of it." He put down his drink and turned to get a better look at the person talking to him. "I'm Rilr, Rilr Hearthfire. If you must know I was exploring a local cave in search of an ancient magical artefact - there was strong magic around that place so it was obviously going to be there. The unfortunate thing? Someone else got there first, all I got from the journey was a note and an ambush. Not even an amulet to sell." He said this all with a tone of uncertainty, as if he hadn't come around to what happened to him. "Anyway, I haven't had a miss like that for months, maybe even a year or two. Someone getting there first took it out of me."

He looked around, he was tipsy, maybe not the best moment of his life - this was worse than his gambling addiction.

"I see, Sounded like you got played into one of those scenarios where a person is tricked by someone to go somewhere of interest and later attacked by those same people or relatedgo. Quite the dastardly annoyance. Though it also seems like you're already used to such things that disappoints, don't get me wrong though, things aren't as easy or simple from beginning to end is all I'm trying to say." Wes took another drink from his glass of water and continued with an idea. "Y'know, maybe this could work. At the gui is that I go to there are jobs with different requests, and I just thought, maybe you could find a job there that could suit you. What do think?"

Rilr Hearthfire - Lone wanderer

"Are you suggesting I join a magic guild?" Rilr asked as his eyes filled with disbelief, "I'll pass on that. I've never been one for guilds." his eyes wandered around the room as he thought about the offer, "you see, I've never been one for the happy go lucky atmosphere they tend to bring. It's all to friendly. It seems rather fake." Rilr didn't understand where these thoughts came from, maybe he'd wandered alone so much he'd become somewhat bitter and didn't see the world in the same way as others. It was a harsh place, nothing went your way. Guild members he had encountered never seemed to get that idea.
