It matters enough for them to consider one another roughly the same height, and be conveniently looking one another in the eyes when standing near one another? Or that one only somewhat taller than the other... My visual perception is fairly good, so I consider an inch a notable difference.

Anyway, I do suppose the point here is that the only real use of information like this would be a) contrast and b) to see patterns. For example, an IC-race could all be notably tall, thus that could be a pattern fit into a roleplay. So, I guess I should edit my statement and say that although I agree to the importance of height, weight and other factors, I don't suppose they should just be required information, either.

Admittedly, my dad is 6'1", so I feel your pain. Many of my cousins tower over me. I have NO idea where my height came from. I personally believe that my seizure disorder stunted my height a bit. Or, maybe I just got my mother's genes for height. My grandfather was only like 5'10" on her side in his youth. In any case, I understand your struggle!

Excellent point. I'm not sure I'll take it on board for day-to-day RPing, but, no that really is a good point and one I'll bear in mind next time I'm doing a close character-to-character comparison.

I haven't encountered much in the way of nutty tragic back-story characters. Especially ones that also run around being ossum possum super people XD Even the aforementioned psychopaths tended to revel in what would otherwise be traumatic histories more than feel sad about it. I have made some characters I wondered if they weren't a little overly dramatic myself, but I at least chose to hope they weren't overdone. In fact, I'm more used to seeing an overabundance on bland, nice guy characters. Where the personality uses common words like "nice, kind, bubbly, friendly" but also "capable of being calm, cool and collected, gets serious in combat" or some rot. History wise, they just talk about how they were normal dudes that passed through life normally (possibly excelling at something combat related if it's relevant to the setting).

And I've never encountered any vampire werewolf characters at all. Probably because I wisely avoid anything titled "Werewolf RP?" or "Vampire RP?" (And yes, I feel like they always have a question mark in their int checks) XD

Something that REALLY pisses me off when people blatantly ignore requirements for a roleplay. Oh you've said it is high casual twice? Oh here's a lower casual or high free level character sheet.

ANOTHER something that pisses me off is when people try to shove non-canon stuff into a roleplay when a gm says that he doesn't want non canon abilities or whatever be it in a roleplay than a person tries to get something in like that anyways.

I've had to put up with people forgetting about things (or possibly plain avoiding) for months while they casually attend to other tasks. I even reminded them several times and they still managed to completely fail to do it >.>

I'm fine with 'oh crap. I forgot, sorry!' the first couple of times. Lord knows that has happened to me. And I understand RL is a jealous, possessive, not understanding or caring at all about RP thing, but come on. If you use those excuses every time, followed by another promise, I'm going to stop believing you even if they're true.

If I fail to post one day after I say I would have I always explain why and tell them for certain when I'm going to post. Regardless it's those sort of people who always kill roleplays.

I refer to these people as scourges. It's particularly bad when another player's character is mid-interaction with theirs. Destroys RPs, that.

Left an RP recently due to similar behaviour from a GM. They didn't post for ages, when everyone was waiting for clarification on things. I suggested someone else host the RP, assuming the GM had done a runner on us, then he/she suddenly (surprise, surprise) returned to the thread in a whirlwind of rage.

They cried the whole 'oh I'm so busy cus school' thing that's so common on here, but when I checked their post history it appeared they had plenty of time to post in other threads. I've seen that kinda crap so much on here, and it's got to the point now that if I sense that's the kind of person I'm dealing with, then I up and leave. Otherwise I risk being tied to a ship with no captain, also known as: a waste of my frickin time.

Seriously, if you're hosting an RP, decide BEFORE putting it up whether or not you're too busy.
